I’m actually impressed with the speaker on the unit. Your video portrays it in its real environment and it has a good flat level sound and not hyped k the Harmon speaker. I think Akai is on to something!

The internal speaker, new master volume location, cv's, link, and extra buttons are a huge selling point for me. Live II is great for mobile applications.

Great vid thanks! Appreciate the speaker test also, it came out well and gave a good example. I was a long time mpc live user from start of it release and loved its layout/ work flow.. I switched to mpc one when that came out.. also super cool although lots of buttons kinda squashed together and for a live situation hate that the PLAY START button does not light up like the mpc live (I had to use an extra spot light in low lite venues I play in) So now I’m digging the extra buttons on the mpc live 2 plus there not as scattered on the mpc one... the speaker is gonna be great when working with my band member in a hotel/ train what ever. So I also really missed the portability on the Mpc One. I’m looking forward to the mpc live 2 !

I've personally never used a computer for music production ...although I record with people who do. These new Mpcs have gotten me back into producing heavily like I used to. 👍Love your vids bro. I have the MPC Live II.... The last drum machine/sampler that I've owned was the EMU SP1200. My dude, you've gave a great review, although it took me awhile to program a track, this machine is definitely a monster.....
I didn't even know I was already subscribed to your channel. I used to have the maschine studio until it broke. Ever since I've been using my first Maschine Mikro on MPC 2 software. Good job man, must be a tricky video to cover as it's such a minor change. I definitely couldnt imagine anyone upgrading from their original Live but certainly for new customers theres some cool new stuff. Good job demoing the speakers. I dont think anyone expected them to replace their studio monitors but it sounds like they hold up pretty well.

Then I realized the flip side is that it's a pretty solid guarantee they'll be supporting the platform for a few years more. If this is basically the same internals as the original Live then it seems a safe bet that'll still receive the same updates as this one. Trying to find the silver lining 😅
The frequency response sounds pretty good like monitors actually, Interesting button changes & great for CV users. OAN and without belaboring the point, you're looking good mate very very happy for you

lol - the reason i stopped travelling with the MPC Live was it was super chunky and a pain to take on flights (can't check in because of battery) - and they went and made it bigger!
Accurate Beats I also bought the headphones you have (Neumann) I love the MPC one ! And now I need the live mk2. Here’s a stupid question, I have mainly just FL Studio and an iPad , can the iPad connect to the live via Bluetooth audio so I can sample or is it better to just line in ?
Unanimous Music Group it definitely is , I got it and been messing with it for a little but it doesn’t have a built in battery so when I want to take it to work , I have to lug the power adapter or get a battery bank like accurate beats did on a previous video. With the live I won’t have to worry about it. (My office is limited on outlets lol)

Love you man. So glad to see you are healing PHENOMENALLY. Lookin good, sounding good. All of us so appreciate your creativity, info, and hard work. That said... I am not terribly impressed with this new MPC Live II. No upgrade, space-wise. No upgrade, memory-wise. CV stuff.. that's great, but I never use any of that modular stuff. A bluetooth-style speaker in the front of the unit, getting in the way of your hands touching the screen and the pads. Just... not impressed. And why is there no dedicated Program Edit button, like on the One? The MPC One is still dope, especially for the price. I would say that's the way to go, usually. Especially all those dedicated buttons. But if it had a damn battery............ They should have given the MPC Live II a slightly tilted pop-up screen. That would be worth the "II" upgrade. But a $40 bluetooth speaker? I get a ton of bass from a tiny, portable Oontz Angle 3 Plus or Ultra, and that's so cheap. It has a 1/8" aux in, so it could be a speaker for anything, not just bluetooth devices. I dig the Live II, but I just wish it had a little more... mostly the dedicated button thing. The + / - buttons near the main jog wheel/encoder are useless, as they do the same exact thing as the jog wheel itself. Wonder why they didn't just make them Program Edit and I dunno... something else. Any thoughts since you did your video? Thanks, Accurate!

Akai did fix the mistakes that they made with this new MPC mk2 I think it’s fit for people that never owned an MPC Live then they should get it. But if you already have the MPC mk1 stick with that. Honestly I don’t see a point to upgrade to the mk2. You already spent 1200$ on the first one it’s a waste of money to upgrade to the new one. Love your videos bro and I’m glad to see you’ve recovered :)

I know this is technically speaking not the biggest upgrade specs wise. But let me tell you that this is the fully mobile studio capable dream device of a passionate producer. The mobility factor is HUGE. Simply the technical ability to produce literally wherever you want to really opens doors. It introduces a new perspective on the mobile studio and suggests new devices coming out of this progression and direction. Really hyped to see where all of this is going⚡️

Binary Infections the MPC ONE is the best upgrade for now. It’s portability and light weight with plenty of buttons is super worth it!
