- The Hilt of Forsbrandr is easily one of the best Relic in god of war raganrök. While it doesn’t provide any offensive advantages, it can momentarily turn you into an unstoppable machine with the perk combo. Since finding out about this relic’s potential, I have never died on a run.

I honestly cannot undertsand what you are talking about. You talked about the hilt of Hofstad or something but you did not really show us how to build it for us to use it as you had described to be "immortal". Would be really helpful if you can show us on what the actual builds are. Thanks.
I don't think you can make a permanent build per se. The relics/perks are scattered and dependant on which door and choice you make along the way and they are temporary. As far as I'm aware only stats which you level up at the Reflection monument at the shore are permanent.
I'm early in the game so not sure what becomes available later on so perhaps if @Djisso sees the comment he could confirm or elaborate better than I can.
The relics are permanently unlocked from the relic chests once you start buying the keys. You can't do builds, but if equip this relic and you're lucky enough to get relic refresh during a run🥴 it will make things easier

You can’t make “builds” in Valhalla (like in the main story). All perks, weapon buffs, stats, runics, and relics are all completely randomized through each run.
Yeah that's what I thought@@TheHamSoda . But then @SupaTuffGong said relics are permanently unlocked once you start buying their respective keys.
This looks appealing. I usually run with Hilt of Hofud(realm shift relic), and stack with the increase melee damage during realm shift glyph, soul less assault perfect perk which with luck each hit or taking a hit causes soul explosion restoriing cool down to relic, and the other Berserker perk that massively increases damage after using relic for short period, along with blades perk flame whiplash attack restores cooldown to relic and runic attacks is fully charged. If lucky enough to get those and add some of the other increased burn damage perks, blades attunement increasing base damage, perk that activates real shift for furious immolation (L1+triangle), and lastly the perk that drastically increases all triangle attacks. If lucky enough to get all that you can melt every enemy with the quickness, no matter how big their lifebar is.
Hilt of skofnung is still better and its not even close because the soulless assault perk exists so you have infinite charges as long as the ghost blades are hitting enemies. You can stunlock any boss through this method.
Still doesn’t stun lock enemies half the time on Show Me Mastery with POB. Especially the final Realm Tear + Tÿr. If the difficulty meter gets all the way to red then the hilt basically only does damage, no stun.
Just like the base game, Hilt of Hofud is still the most broken relic by miles.
@@tim.noonan its good but skofnung is my go to build for the dlc. The damage is insane and while it would be safer to use hofud i personally like skofnung for the fun factor.
This is by far the best relic for Valhalla. Literally cannot die, if you combine with soulless assault perk you become unstoppable literally. Frost roll burden sucks though
You can parry every thing and tank anything

By now, I've seen players do infinite slow mode with one of the perks.

i tried a run with this relic, and it changed my life. choosing the wounded block break burden with this relic + stone wall shield is literally the most op thing ever. reroll tokens also helps to get the relic recharge perk easily.
soulless assault + realm shift + elemental hunter + siphoned storm = ultimate cheese
Elemental Hunter is Honestly a cheat code.

Sounds like it’s optional? So it’s on folks if they want to use it or not. Me I’d use it. Considering this game healing passive. Aren’t as powerful as the previous game. While enemies hit like tanks. Not so bad. Once you get access to better armor and Relics.
That hilt is amazing plus if you have that runic and relic recharge perk the lifesteal perk and the perk that posions enemy when blocking parry or bare hands the enemies start melting away it is really underrated also the perk when you do more base damage depending on hiw much rage you have also if your almost dead it as long as you have rage hits will take the rage not your life mixed with 30 percent more rage using valor your pretty much unkillable but it's very hard to get all those in 1 build I beat it 20 or so times and I only got all of those perks relics etc twice but when I did it was amazing keep grinding in Valhalla guys
I really like the perk which increases my damage based on rage but I mostly go for it when I am not using Valor as my rage. Things can go south quickly and I like the idea of having a way out even if I am close to death (Like parrying using Valor to get more heals). So the idea of a single attack consuming all my rage is always terrifying to me
And here I am struggling to beat the dlc in almost easy mode and this guy telling me to use a relic meanwhile he plays an almost perfect style ;).

Talisman of undying is better because on top of protection it gives you health burst too

What did you have to do to play as young Kratos? I beat the DLC, but never did this.
The place where you can change your cosmetics like your armor is where you can toggle classic skin
The hilt of Realm Shift is still the best hilt.
The realm shift hilt is amazing, but Hilt of Forsbrandr is just too good for this DLC. You can combine stagger resistance with triangle attacks with this hilt and you’re basically a walking tank
but what do you do when you run out of relic attempts?
I start praying
I actually made a terrible mistake early on and used all my relic charges. And then I thought the invisible barrier was better than Forsbrandr (It really isn’t)
See, I don’t need runics or Relics to defeat Tyr. But you absolutely needs them for every other room in the game 💀
And also, you have to deal with that centaur he spawns mid fight really fast or she starts running away and then you have a 2v1 with no runics or relic…
Say, when so you use your re-rolls to try and get the perk?
You could reroll but I wouldn’t recommend it since I believe The rerolls should be saved for the Perfect Glyphs since they are really strong

Yeah everyone will use this relic but i don't recommand it personnaly cause 1 it's too boring at a certain time and 2 for peopls who didn't fully upgraded theyr stats at the max , shield , rage , and relic will everytime change for gaining bonus mastery seals and yeah as said this one is pure boringness i pefere using the poison relic or the electric sword personaly to shock them and lately i got Skofnung relic it's one charge but it feat well with the flawless berserker armor skin for beeing in the themes haha im gonna try it and for rage attack i prefere wrath for the pure strenght but i tryed valor it's pretty good for heal and even more if you have a great rage bar ( for sure the best one ) , but yeah main reason they out this valhalla mod is to be " versatility " and use everything i think , but thing appart theyr is relics who are very bad as well to me but if the game say " bonus mastery seals " pick it just for the gains haha 😂 .

You don’t have to, don’t worry. It’s an optional section called “The Forum” that puts you up against various and randomized bosses. Towards end of the dlc 👍

Best run I had to beat Show Me Mastery+Burden of Breaching: hilt of skofnund with perks that recharged the relic whenever I hit something or got hit, let me spam the ghost swords the whole fight they didn’t stand a chance
Soulless assault is the best perk in Valhalla.
Period.
Pair it with a high luck stat and you can tank the run.
