yes, it’s very hard but the only thing i somewhat have a passion for is helping people that are going through the same or similar things as me. i wanna be a psychiatrist😁
@Googlesucks Fkyougoogle Thank you so much! Your encouragement means a lot. I'll start doing everything that'll make this go away as soon as I get a grip over myself. And I'll pray for you too.🖤🖤
I just constantly feel like there is something wrong with me and I overthink everything I feel like everyone always thinks bad thoughts of me and it makes me wanna stay inside and not leave the house. I am done being the victim I want to be the hero and overcome this. But some days it is such a battle with myself
Unfortunately, pharmaceutical drugs usually lead to dependency and eventually deeper illness than what was prescribed for. Drugs just mask symptoms while the hole is being dug deeper. It’s like a high interest credit card
@@arabellacox for me, it's my own voice as if it were my subconscious speaking to me. Its usually negative like "I'm such a fat pig" "I hate myself" "I wish I were dead" "I hate everything" "I wanna die" "I hate my life" and it replays in my head like a record over and over again and I can't control it. It doesn't happen all day, but when I'm triggered and in a bad mood it all goes downhill from there and it could last hours. Hope this helps

Like I need constant reassurance all day that no one has stopped loving me
I'm 55 and just beginning to explore what has been ravaging my life since I was 14. Can't help feeling it's too late. Our healthcare system sure doesn't make it easy.
It's not. Think neuroplasticity. The brain can be retrained. Try to get into DBT therapy and if you can't, you should try the DBT book on Amazon, I have heard so many good things about it. You can do this! Be well and safe.💖
It's may not be too late. There are countless people who have overcome things that they thought were too late. Is there a time in your life where you thought it was too late; but you overcome it anyways?
I'm 46 and now on week 16 of my therapy. I always refused to get into therapy but now i'm happy i did. I also constantly think it's too late (suffering since i was 6). I've been told that i will need support for the rest of my life but i feel it's getting better week by week.
OMG .... I'm going to cry happy tears. Something everyone wants is a healthy relationship. Even us with BPD... So proud of Brian Turner for being a fighter for love and not part of the problem with stigma and many people saying we aren't good or we are evil or bad people who can never be loved 😢. Proud of both these two. These two have brought hope to me and others. Sammy with her fight to get the help she wanted, Brian for sticking around and loving her, and Med Circle for filming these interviews. Love them! Thank you @medcircle @sammygrimm and @brianturner 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕💕💕💯💯💯💯💯💯
I agree! Right now I lost my friends because of BPD and they came at me with so much hate, saying they wished they never had been my friend, and I took that very hard. But seeing this gives me some hope that I can get better
" Nothing will make you feel better that helping someone else! " Well said Brian. My girlfriend has BPD and sometimes it gets extremely hard on me, and everybody asks me why I stay. But loving this woman more than life itself has given my life true purpose. Unfortunately she had a bad crisis that ended up in her "breaking up" with me again and blaming me for everything. I dont know how long this will last or what I will do if its final and she discards my love and care for her, but I fear it will hurt more than anything before. May God help me.
I was in the same boat and she was the love of my life. Unfortunately she moved on and was in another relationship very shortly after, which is fine, it's her life to live. She is an amazing woman and I wish her all the best in finding the peace and life best suited to her.
People like you don't earn to be treated bad ... and i bet you know it's the illness talking when she says bad things but i can imagine how hard it is to live withe someone like us. We didn't choose to be like that but sometimes we just can't fight what's going on.
you're an angel . i wish my past ex was more like this, but everything happens for the best. Thank you for being there for her and for being a strong person for her. she needs it . :,)
you deserve better! I don't understand why so many amazing people get stuck in abusive relationships but I guess it's because they are too kind and find purpose in trying to save the other. That's more like parenting than a relationship.
Hope you got access to some type of therapeutic experience. That dynamic seems to severely lack boundaries on your part. Someone who broke up with you isn’t your girlfriend.
Dr. Daniel fox is a licensed therapist and he has tons of videos that are really helpful, he also has his own BPD workbook which is a great addition to The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook that I've had for years.
I love Dr. Fox and was considering buying it for a family member. I appreciate the reviews. 😃 BTW, you two have great taste in channels. Are you into Dr. Todd Grande, too? Once you sift through these channels, there are a few that stand out. MedCircle being one, of course!
@@BeingLifted never heard of him I'll check him out. Obviously i love medcircle and i love dr.Daniel fox cause you're really receiving commentary by someone whos well educated and practiced in their field. You feel like you just had a counseling session after watching his videos and all the information and dialog is at your fingertips!
@@ally8420 I think you'll be saying the same about Todd Grande, sometimes with a twist. He calls it his "scientifically-informed, insider look at mental health topics."
I just picked up his work book and it’s an amazing in-depth look at BPD. I’ve already worked through the DBT workbook which is great for skills training but Dr. Fox’s book is a very specific look at how I’m experiencing my BPD. I highly recommend it!
I just found him a few months back and He was the FIRST person I saw on TH-cam that spoke compassionately and kindly about people with bpd.. instead of vilifying us calling us monsters, manipulative, untrustworthy, psychotic, etc.. THE FIRST VIDEO OF HIS I saw gave me hope and made me cry... I adore him!! THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME I JUST GOT PAID LET ME GO BUY HIS WORKBOOK!!
really inspiring!!! I have BPD and really have never found someone who wants to stand by my side and " tough" thru it. Amazing to see such a man as Brian stand by Sammy's Courageous side!
@Law Notes Hey, thought I’d chime in: I have BPD and was in a relationship with a woman I was 100% certain I was going to marry. Our relationship ended when she cheated on me with her “guy best friend,” and then started dating him shortly after, discarding me like I was nothing. My partner-despite not having BPD-cheated, left me, and ruined my life; so I’ve been in the same boat as you. It’s also worth mentioning that even though I have BPD, the thought of cheating on a partner has never crossed my mind, even at my lowest points. Now, I get that you’re probably really frustrated about the situation with your ex, and that they probably attributed their shitty, life-shattering decisions to their BPD. However, nobody is saying that just because someone has BPD, means they don’t have to take responsibility or face consequences for negative actions they may commit as a result of the mental illness. It seems like your ex might have been hiding behind their BPD to avoid having to take responsibility for their actions, but please don’t assume that literally every other person with BPD acts the same way just based off your personal experiences (or /r/BPDLovedOnes threads on Reddit). The reason so many people with BPD (myself included) flock to these videos is because we understand that we’ve been hurting ourselves and the people around us. These videos are a great source of information for people with BPD, whether they’re using them to gain access to treatment, or if they’re using them to learn more about the disorder as a supplement to DBT, medication, a support group, etc. We actually want to take responsibility for ourselves and get better so we don’t have to keep struggling, and so the people who love and support us can have peace of mind. I think it’s fair to say that your ex wasn’t thinking much about how their actions would affect you (and the other family involved), and that they were acting very self-centered. I also bet there are plenty of other untreated, under-treated, or undiagnosed people with BPD in society who are still struggling to manage their mental illness. Although, calling ALL of them “evil people” who “won’t think twice” about cheating on someone will only discourage people from seeking treatment and working towards getting better. Talk as much shit about your ex as you want. They did something terrible to you, and you have every right to be upset, but please don’t use that as an opportunity to add to the stigma already associated with BPD. We weren’t the ones who hurt you. I hope things get better for you, and that you have a nice day.
What an amazing young lady! Her story has given me a reason to hope. My sixteen year old daughter has been diagnosed with all the symptoms of BPD since January 2019. We know they can’t formally diagnose her until 18 but she sees her therapist twice a week to work on DBT and anything else she needs to work on. Between the medications and therapy, we’ve seen a huge difference already. It’s been terrifying for her not knowing what was happening to her for the last couple years. We felt hopeless at times and worried for her safety every moment of the day. We found a wonderful psychologist and psychiatrist that have connected with her. It’s made this frightening journey much more bearable as the months go by. Thank you for sharing her inspirational story with us.
You sound like a really good mom. Keep supporting her! A lot of people with BPD (myself included) don’t have a support system which makes it really hard. Best of luck to you all.
Youre an amazing parent. I wish i had one like that growing up. But luckily i have my husband i just need him to be as understanding of this condition but im barely understanding it myself. I need an official diagnosis and i hope my dr really sees this for what it is and I'm not misdiagnosed again.
Way to go mom !!! You’re doing a great job !! She will get better ! Don’t let her drink or use drugs! It affects our brains differently than other people.
Whoa. That's Brian Turner. I've been subscribed to his channel for a few years. I even saw his girlfriend a couple of times. However, combining my terrible facial recognition and her use of makeup, I had no idea that this was her. It's weird when you get random channel crossovers.
Just as a fact: BPD is associated with loss of identity which can make a person look really different from one day to another due to their changes in hairstyle, make up, clothing etc :)
As a parent of a daughter of BPD, I am so happy for this beautiful young woman. I pray that my daughter will do the work to get to an “. 8” 😇 God bless you, Sammie.
Yes. I just can imagine how it is but having a loving mother is more important than you think even though love from a bordi sometimes goes strange ways

Constantly our feelings CHANGE.
I started to tear up hearing her bf talk about supporting her. And when she gave him a little kiss, MY HEART. Made me really happy to see. Wishing them all the best.
I loved how he would say he appreciated certain things she said and reassuring her that she is valid. I love when other people try to understand how difficult this disorder is.
I think that is that persons with BPD have low self esteem, and low self-knowledge (not all but it's usual), and people with narcissist disorder learn easily how to be on top, to control BPD people. And also BPD persons are OFTEN great manipulators, I think those kind of relationships are PURE DISASTER! I have BPD, so I know..I think...
@@weenerdawg3972 it means they’re not assigning blame. It’s not “you made me mad because if this” but rather “I feel upset because when you did this it made me feel this”. People with bpd are labeled as rude and manipulative, although when it’s untreated and undiagnosed it might be the case in reality we’re really gentle and try our best not to assign blame or make the other person feel bad
@@kf3914 i believe people who have disorders are different, different in a very good way aswell as incredible, i am more intrigued towards people with disorders rhen normal people, people with disorders are different... think differently and usually they understand me better i think their incredible so don't hit you'rself so hard C.
@@kf3914 You are so correct... I could go on and on explaining how misunderstood people with BPD are but it's pretty insane. The two seem to often get mixed up with narcissism, manipulation, or just being flat out rude. However from my experience with BPD they're more opposites of BPD than relatives.
@@goldiekoi935 yes! People need to remember that it is an ILLNESS. Our brains malfunction sometimes and lies to us which makes for a very overwhelming life. People need to take that into consideration. If you see we’re getting worked up don’t keep pushing, and people always keep pushing because neuro typical ppl can handle it so “we should be able to”, and then we snap and they blame it on us. There is so little compassion for bpd and how it affects people’s lives and they make us feel like a burden for being sick...like we didn’t ask for sick brains. It’s frustrating.
Sammy has been such a huge inspiration for me. It took a decade to get my proper diagnosis, “Quiet” BPD. I felt totally lost and confused, it was really overwhelming. She is so open and vulnerable about her journey and dedication to healing. I don’t know anyone else in my life who deals with BPD, so it’s so wonderful to be a part of the Sam Fam. I know I’m not alone and I can thrive with this disorder!
April Jones I have the same diagnosis too. I really appreciate Sammy’s channel and totally appreciate her self aware nature and encouragement to use all available resources to help our situations. Finding her channel really helped me stay on the right path to get help.
I think BPD can be healed through a loving relationship. The guy is a good guy that he is supportive of her girlfriend. It is also nice of the girl that she is very aware and knows about her issue and openly speaks about it. The worst people are those who have a personality disorder and acting like there is absolutely nothing wrong.
Probably one of the bravest women we’ll all get to watch this year, thank you so much for sharing the hood and the bad, and of course Kyle, The most empathetic, caring host you could ask for x x x
I've been having a very hard time with my mental health lately and it has been impacting my relationships and career path. My mom talked to me this afternoon about being concerned I might have BPD. I never thought of it but I have 8/9 traits and I'm going to talk to my therapist about this at my session tomorrow. Thanks for your videos! They're already helping me understand and normalize BPD.
My ex had BPD and we dated on and off for 10 years and it was a nightmare at times due to the fact she didn’t want help or even admit she was going through issues. I deal with Anxiety disorder and it was too much for me. Sadly it didn’t work which really sucks cause I’ve loved her since I was 9 (39 now) and she was my first girlfriend. I hope she finds the help she needs.
That's my best friend. She knows she has a problem, refuses to get therapy though. Her first love was a very nice guy, they were a couple for 9 years. In the end he couldn't handle it anymore. When he left, she lost all stability in life. But I don't blame him. 😥
Thank you Sammy for sharing your journey. Someone I love has BPD but has not accepted this truth. Your story gives me hope and a clearer picture of how to pray for her and be supportive even when things are very difficult. 💗❤️🙏🏼
What a sweetheart. I just found out that someone very close in my life struggles with BPD, and this has given so much hope and direction. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Wishing you all the best on the rest of your journey
Last night I had an episode, my boyfriend is so caring and understanding, everytime I have an episode I get extremely depressed, I have stopped drinking because I am also an alcoholic, to bet better you have to actually try your very hardest and no excuses. Will be ordering DBT Workbook today! Kudos to this young lady
I also suffer from BPD. Until this video I thought nothing of talking to myself out loud (when alone) as if I was another person reminding myself of things that just happened when I'm angry or things don't go my way. Like, I break off into a second person talking to myself. Most people can't understand the daily suffering involved in living with BPD. At 51 years old, I've only recently discovered this has been a problem my whole life. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder many many years ago, and doctors treated me with all kinds of meds that were treating the wrong things and never worked for me. Last year, I attempted suicide, coming very close to success. I ended up being tazed then shot by police 4 times and then going to jail for 52 days. I now segregate myself from society and only communicate with my father pretty much. I've been self-treating myself, watching these videos constantly and reading up on BPD since my doctors are pretty much useless at this point. These videos do me more good than all of the counselors and therapists and psychiatrists I've had over the years throughout the majority of my life.
I don't 'hero worship' but if I did it would be this couple. My husband's story is so similar to Sammy's and I've watched both of them on TH-cam for so long now. It's given me encouragement many times and I've learned a lot that I was able to tell my husband and help him. I'm so glad she did this series!
SamFam here! Love you girl, I just received your book last week and it has inspired me so much. I have been dealing with PTSD and chronic pain and am struggling to get out of this dark pit I am in. Keep doing your great work!
The best gift my mother gave me was empathy, as a person diagnosed with this I am grateful of that at the least. this video is very satiating and I hope I can find as much support in the future.
Congratulations, Sammy! Truth (knowing the Truth) is half the battle. Good on you, girl! Your bf is a gem & is a wonderful support system! Keep up the good work, Brian! Omigoodness, Kyle... practicing empathy is such important concept...cheers for the reminder!
I got a lot from this video. Also, I think it’s hysterical that right after he corrects her for saying “anxiety medication” he says “psychotic medication.”Insta karma! He’s a pretty good interviewer and she does a great job at being interviewed. I learned a lot. However he is a perfectionist & micromanages use of language which takes away from an otherwise very helpful presentation.
Thank you Sammy! What a beautiful person you are! You are helping those of us with bpd. I've had bpd for a while now but was misdiagnosed for bipolar also. I am just now starting to get help. My bpd has affected so many people and relationships. I feel ashamed.
I pray my girl comes back and helps me find my way me and pushes me forward. She was my rock and I destroyed everything she had towards me over 4 years. I wish I could go back and get a grip sooner. She is was important but me fucked up and all couldn't express it I guess. The abandonment feeling is so hard to deal with 💔
Kyle interviewing Brian and Sammy has made my day. As a vegan following Brian on his channel has blessed me over a long period of time. So special to know more about Sammy
What a great interview, great questions, wise answers and full of hope! The example of her boyfriend leading her back to light and how she has been self-aware and ready to change her family patterns just gave me the chills.
Thank you soooooo much!!! My boyfriend has been diagnosed with bipolar for 10 years yet I never see him “manic” but I do see him with every single one of the bpd symptoms. I’m thinking I might show him this segment but I don’t want to hurt his feeling or make him think I’m judging him. Any suggestions?
Actually, Sammy was misdiagnosed with bipolar before being diagnosed with BPD. Maybe that is going on (obviously idk because im not a licensed therapist). But maybe talk to him about it? You obviously have good intentions.
I would have a very open and non judge mental conversation with him, name off the signs you’ve been seeing and lightly suggest he explore this option. I’m 100% sure I have BPD but was misdiagnosed during my entire teen years. I went along with it but it always felt wrong and I could never explain what was wrong with me to a psychiatrist. I came across BPD about 6 months ago and as terrifying as it’s been to recognize I’m going to have this for the rest of my life I’m so reassured knowing there’s an explanation. I’m glad I know what’s wrong and can actually start accurately treating myself and being treated by professionals.
@@ChasingYashiro im in the same boat but my diagnosis was made in adulthood. I was never given the chance to go to therapy as a teen. It was considered a phase. Im seeing a new therapist and I'm gonna tell them on friday what i think and i pray to jesus they are receptive. Its hard living knowing what is wrong with me but being misdiagnosed and given wrong treatment.
You are so awesome, strong and healthy! What a wonderful asset to the world to hear how you've healed and how hard you are working to be the best you! Well done keep it up!
I love this video! I can relate so much to Sammy. Changing my circle and finding more supportive people to be around has helped me so much. And it’s true what her bf said about them learning you gives you the confidence to learn how to manage BPD better.
I used to have a therapist, an amazing psychiatrist until I no longer had access to that specific insurance and it all fell apart. It's been over a year since I last had access to treatment and I am now struggling again. I was doing better and managing those maladaptive tendencies but now I feel alone and hopeless. I feel like I am back to square one after 4 years of continuous treatment.
that is why I still believe as a women and psychotherapist that without empathy and love and passion we end up nowhere....so thankful to you Kyle for what you are doing in life and to beautiful couple!
You go Brian! You go Sammy! Awesome that you are being so supportive to the woman you love. i am a guy that has BPD and my wife has been so understanding and supportive, she is my rock and has helped me so much just by being there and loving me through my BPD episodes. Thanks to Med Circle, Sammy , and Brian for all you do to help others
Thank you all for being on team recovery! It seems we as a society had to start coming to terms with the anguish of mental illness and how it effects a persons relationship with themselves and others. Your personal courage has opened the door to living in the solution. There’s always a few brave souls who harness the power of love and show us how we can overcome stigma and strive towards acceptance of ourselves and step out of shame and isolation into the healing process of loving support and connection. Again thank you. I’ve been on my own healing journey for the past 31 years and it hasn’t been easy by any stretch of the imagination. But you can bet your a** it’s been worth it. 🍎💜💯🙌🏽
This series has given me more insight about BPD. Having an adolescent with multiple disorders, I always felt all of her diagnosis altogether are really just BPD and she has not been receiving the right therapy, because nothing has helped, not even intensive in-home therapy (2x). What’s so frustrating is I mentioned BPD to her psychiatrist and she agreed with me and said she did see the signs when we first started seeing her. She’s just hesitant with that diagnosis due to my child’s age.
Speaking of finding your passion, what about when your self esteem is so low that you don't believe you have the right to your passion? Can you do an episode on that? What can you do to get past that?
Wow.! I’m not the only one plagued with intrusive thoughts that they are aware of. I gave mine a name to personify it and distinguish it from my core self. Keep it up Sammy! So inspired by you!
Such a nice couple..BUT.. I was disappointed that Brian wasn't looking straight at her to tell those beautiful things about her ... But yes, what a wonderful people. All of them.
Omg this warmed my heart. I knew of Brian through his channel and I saw Sammy on the channel every once in a while. So glad I know more about her, she's fabulous and I wish her prosperity.
Congratulations Sammy and Brian! you are both doing great ! Sammy you are very brave! thank you for sharing your expeience as it gives us a better inside picture of borderline personality disorder and the challenges you have gone through.
Wow, she's so articulate. I've taken both those medications. I feel like a zombie when I'm on risperidone. Maybe the dosage was too high. I'm fairly certain I have BPD after watching these videos. It's so hard to find a therapist right now with the pandemic. I'm trying... but every practice I call, they tell me they are booked. It's very discouraging. On top of that the stigma behind mental health is unreal. As a guy, my behavior is seen as abusive, I've tried to explain to my girlfriend that I have no buffer when it comes to anger. That I just go from -100, and that is why she should avoid provoking me. She has not been supportive. Her friends tell her that I'm abusive. I can completely understand where they are coming from. But I do try to walk away from fights, she follows me and continues to yell at me. IT feels like a trigger, I just snap, because I just don't think, I just get angry and yell, say hurtful things, recently I threw a sandwich at the wall, because I had tried to tell her, this conversation is over, tried to reset, she came out and continued to yell, and tossed the sandwich at me...That's when I threw it at the wall. I don't think sometimes, it's more of an impulsive. I tried to tell my GF I'm not okay. I even used exact words, I'm not okay, or I'm not well, I need help. I don't feel like she cares. She just tells me my behavior isn't okay. I know it isn't... I have been feeling suicidal, and empty inside, dissociated, broken. It's kind of a relief that I stumbled upon @medCircle, but am just feeling completely overwhelmed. It doesn't seem like anyone even knows what BPD is. I've been diagnosed with C-PTSD by two different therapists and then diagnosed with Bipolar disorder type 2 before that, which before learning about BPD, it seemed accurate at the time. I think having C-PTSD is an accurate diagnosis, but everything that Dr. Durvasula describes in her interviews about BPD sounds all too familiar. I'm ready for change, but I don't know where to start.
Thank you for your bravery, I’m sure that this journey is difficult but I appreciate your sharing with us, information you share about what you go through helps others that are searching for answers
Sammy and Brian you guys are the definition of a power couple. Love you both! The support Brian has for you Sammy is beyond admirable it gives me hope for a relationship with someone that gets me! 💕🥰 This series was amazing thank you for sharing thank you for doing this. I was with a girl that had bpd for about a year, I was well informed about her condition and the relationship was amazing. I hope everyone who has bpd a wonderful life with u guys/girls it never gets booring 🔥❤️
Resperidone is a miracle drug! It completely changed my life. BPD has been my hardest struggle but I swear by resperidone, it was the ONLY thing that worked for me.
I was just diagnosed bpd, and I have to say thank you so much for your transparency and vulnerability. I am very open with my psychologist but the one thing I have held back on telling her is about the voices. I felt so crazy and would disconnect myself so Its like I can just PRETEND i don’t hear them. My voices are cruel though, and they talk over me, like when I’m having a conversation they will interrupt me and I’ll almost find myself talking to myself instead saying what your saying doesn’t matter or make any sense and then I will actually forget what I was saying mid conversation to the other person. I Thank you so much for this content.
Your story is helping me to understand my partner. Thank you so much for sharing. I was on self harm watch at the hospital a few weeks ago. I didn’t know what was happening with my partner & me. But since then I’ve been learning a lot & have hope now. Hearing your experience is a guiding light for someone in my position. Thankyou

yes, it’s very hard but the only thing i somewhat have a passion for is helping people that are going through the same or similar things as me. i wanna be a psychiatrist😁
Passions I have but finding a purpose in life I’ve struggled with all my life.

Well done guys!!!!! My BPD boyfriend and I are celebrating 5 years of being together. I would do it again in a heartbeat.♥️🥳♥️🥳♥️🥳♥️
This makes me so happy to hear for you and hopeful 🥺💖

@Googlesucks Fkyougoogle I too am borderline and I got dumped by my boyfriend of 3 years today.
@Googlesucks Fkyougoogle Thank you so much! Your encouragement means a lot. I'll start doing everything that'll make this go away as soon as I get a grip over myself. And I'll pray for you too.🖤🖤
OMG! I hope someday to find someone😍
I just constantly feel like there is something wrong with me and I overthink everything I feel like everyone always thinks bad thoughts of me and it makes me wanna stay inside and not leave the house. I am done being the victim I want to be the hero and overcome this. But some days it is such a battle with myself
Its the private battles that make true warriors. You...no...WE can do this! Because you ARE NOT ALONE.! 🖤😍
I’m feeling the same thing
Unfortunately, pharmaceutical drugs usually lead to dependency and eventually deeper illness than what was prescribed for. Drugs just mask symptoms while the hole is being dug deeper. It’s like a high interest credit card
I had my crazy party days, but for a while I have been a home buddy, and have to really force myself to go to someone’s birthday, baby shower, etc…
This is how I feel sometimes too... how do you overcome a storm in your head...Jesus
The voices feel like an out of body experience. You're literally talking to yourself in your own head involuntarily
Can I ask, is it a thought or an actual voice you are hearing? xx
@@arabellacox also get thoughts about others like "they don't like me" "they hate me" "they don't love me anymore" "I'm a bad person".. and then it usually results into self hatred. The people I have around me love me very much, I know that deep down.. but I always think they think the worst of me, or they're talking behind my back, or think I'm crazy and annoying when it's all in my head.

It’s not! Start now little by little, you can do it!!

Grace LoveBird people with BPD are not unlovable at all grace! You just need someone very understanding and empathetic to struggles x
What Brian said was dead on about empathy ...perfect analogy to understand.
I agree! Right now I lost my friends because of BPD and they came at me with so much hate, saying they wished they never had been my friend, and I took that very hard. But seeing this gives me some hope that I can get better
Mariela F omg that’s terrible, sending you lots of love 💕 no one deserves that
" Nothing will make you feel better that helping someone else! "
Well said Brian.
She is extremely lucky to have such a compassionate man. Hope!💖
really inspiring!!! I have BPD and really have never found someone who wants to stand by my side and " tough" thru it.
Amazing to see such a man as Brian stand by Sammy's Courageous side!
I tried everything and would give myself up but my husband discarded me and slept with other women. So it‘s not easy being with someone with bpd.

@@gypsy-nr9zd Might as well be blind.
I recognized him in the thumbnail and that's why I watched the video. He's definitely a great guy, even more respect for him after seeing this.
Just as a fact: BPD is associated with loss of identity which can make a person look really different from one day to another due to their changes in hairstyle, make up, clothing etc :)
Brian is a great guy!
As a parent of a daughter of BPD, I am so happy for this beautiful young woman. I pray that my daughter will do the work to get to an “. 8” 😇

I have read that narcissists are often attracted to people with bpd. I would like a video on this subject.
Thanks!
I doubt that. BPD have too many narc traits.
JusticeForNichole i have bpd and my last ex was extremely narcissistic. lol stfu.
I think it's true, I live with a narcissist n I have BPD... Yet I can't even summon the strength to leave as much this relationship is hurting me
I think that is that persons with BPD have low self esteem, and low self-knowledge (not all but it's usual), and people with narcissist disorder learn easily how to be on top, to control BPD people. And also BPD persons are OFTEN great manipulators, I think those kind of relationships are PURE DISASTER! I have BPD, so I know..I think...
This is true. Coming from someone who has bpd this is very true.
If you notice, people with BPD say I feel to describe what they think.
what does it mean when i persons says i feel or i think?
I agree. I feel their relationship works because she is not using him as her crutch.

Stop letting the clinicians and current culture do this to you. YOU didn’t destroy your life. The disease did.
My ex had BPD and we dated on and off for 10 years and it was a nightmare at times due to the fact she didn’t want help or even admit she was going through issues.
Omg I do that too for years!!!!
I hope your still doing well, what do you self medicate with?
Sammy, you are an absolute joy! You have come so far and have suffered so much.

Show him the original vid with sammy and the 9 signs of bpd also by med circle.
@@ChasingYashiro im in the same boat but my diagnosis was made in adulthood. I was never given the chance to go to therapy as a teen. It was considered a phase.

Thank you all for being on team recovery! It seems we as a society had to start coming to terms with the anguish of
mental illness and how it effects a persons relationship with themselves and others.
Please tell us the work book you're using.
You are a beautiful soul Sammy, inside and out. Thank you for sharing 💞 💚💙💜💓💖💕

I’ve so enjoyed this young lady’s story. She is so brave to bare her soul. She’s educated me!!
Real respect for her for being able to talk about this.
Speaking of finding your passion, what about when your self esteem is so low that you don't believe you have the right to your passion? Can you do an episode on that? What can you do to get past that?

You are so inspiring Sammy! You give me hope and motivation to keep getting better :)
Those people are ignorant that say horrible things, I admire you for you strength xx
They are sitting so far apart from each other.... she looks fabulous...so happy she is doing well....
You are the voice of many and so much of what you have gone through I have gone through! Its heart breaking and the more we talk about it the more we can change the system and bring attention to mental illness treatment! Being misdiagnosed is so hard and finding the right doctors and therapists can be difficult, but what I've learned from years of trying and seeing what you've gone through it is possible to find the right doctors for you. It is possible to get better! We are all in this together! #SamFam
I was with a girl that had bpd for about a year, I was well informed about her condition and the relationship was amazing. I had to end it though because of my own anxeity and things got too intense for me but it is a beautiful memory still. The key is being informed about the condition. I hope everyone who has bpd a wonderful life with u guys/girls it never gets booring 🔥❤️
More people need to speak about this. So most people can have help they need.
I'm 13 and i think i have bpd , i used to think I'm crazy but now it all makes so much sense
Thankyou
So cool that the BF says, “if you have obesity” or “if you have acne” vs “you are ______.” Ty🕊
I feel so proud about everybody in this scene .
thank you for being so open with your diagnosis.
I was recently diagnosed with BPD and I am on a wait to see a psychotherapist. I am constantly researching, trying to find ways to manage it.
Her story will and is impacting my life so much. Things are clicking with me. Thank you so much!!
So grateful for her courage to speak out this is so helpful 💕💕💕🥰 I appreciate everything she said and she has given hope to so many 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
She's an amazing lady. A real warrior. It's not easy having to be vigilant everyday.
Therapy can be enough to overcome BPD as explained by doctor on TH-cam.
But mostly there are comorbid disorders
Another amazing interview/series by Kyle Kittleson. Wow, Sammie-Marie Grimm, girl, you're tenacity and the ability to take that determination for wellness actionable is inspirational!
They’re a really handsome couple
The boyfriend looks like Qui-Gon Jin from Star Wars
