I went from using game colour metallics I got in my set to using these. The difference between the two is night and day. Look better, paint better, cover better, just amazing.
These paints are great for brushing but I cannot get them to airbrush consistently and give an even coverage. I've tried out of the bottle, with Mr Color Leveling Thinner, with water (amazingly bad), 15psi, 20 psi, 25psi, 1.8mm needle, 3mm needle (both Badger SOTAR) all deepcleaned between tests, with Tamiya X-1 as primer, Vallejo 77.660 (the recommended primer) as primer and just onto degreased plasticard. The coverage was so uneven that at one point I even thought I'd reassembled my airbrush incorrectly, so I did a quick flush and sprayed some Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver but had no problems whatsoever.
Do you live in a area with high humidity? I have always had mixed results, Houston and Savannah. I wonder if it is the high humidity or AC…… I will try some Tamiya.
VERY NICELY DONE. I AM ABOUT 1 YEAR INTO THE AIR BRUSH THING, MOSTLY ON AIRCRAFT MODELS. IT TAKES LOTS OF PRACTICE AND YOU SEEM TO HAVE IT DOWN..AGAIN NICELY DONE!

Great video BUT to all similar videos involving how to airbrush Model air/color,primers and varnishes you should always mention the air pressure/precise mixing ratio.
From my experince, I find they are good to go straight from the bottle (after they have been mixed thoroughly mind you) no extra thinner needed. I airbrush regularly at about 25 psi, but with these paints, I've found that's too high for them, so I lower the pressure between 20-15 psi, and they flow on much nicer, and I have more control.
So im using a couple of these and I love them. I just painted a plane with the aluminum. What varnish should i use to keep that metallic shine I have right now with just the aluminum paint? Matt? Gloss? Semi? Please help me!!

I'm afraid i would buy the wrong color and its hard to see which ones are the right ones for me
I used panzer grey primer for the metal gold and the result was a bit greenish. Should I use a light brown primer, or the gloss black primer you used in the video to achieve a nice yellow gold? It would be for a Bracelet of Anubis
Many thanks. I used AV paint a lot, and recently have had very good experience with the metal series. The only issue I got is for 77657. I always made it too thick, so the surface is not so even. I don’t have such issue with other AV metals. Appreciate for any tips. Do I need to dilute it more? Am using 2.5 Bar / 30 psi. Also I feel a bit hard to observe whether / how the 77657 has been painted as it is very transparent… thank you so much.
