    Thanks for your great review, I'm debating getting one for my FZ10 and there's not a lot of reviews. I have a 9 year old daughter so I'm probably going to go the Corbin way. You did a great job showing me the product I will get :) by the way, your bike looks awesome specially with the seat

      Thank you for checking out the video. I have a full video planned for passenger upgrades.

      Did you ever make the passenger update video? A couple years back, I swapped the passenger foot peg brackets for fj09's and that made a huge difference in comfort, for my wife.

    Solid video and very helpful. I'm thinking of buying an XSR900, a Z900RS, or a Speed Twin as a second bike (primary is an Indian Springfield) and I almost ruled out the XSR900 because I want a sportier, more nimble second bike but it needs to accommodate a pillion with some degree of security, and I couldn't find a pillion seat and back rest for this bike anywhere; and I don't know why I didn't check Corbin (great seats). So thank you for identifying that.

    Good job ! Glad to see the look of that seat. I’m thinking of getting an XSR900 but comfort is basically my only last concern. I’ll be doing 90% city and commuting. But I want the few longer rides to be fun !

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm in the same boat. Most of my rides are under 3 hours so even the stock seat is fine. The bike tours okay, as long as you don't mind the lack of a windshield. The Corbin seat is perfect for long rides and two up

    • @maxdle
      @maxdle 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      XSR Detroit Thanks for your answer. Windshield is not an issue to me. My GSX windshield deflect and concentrate the air right onto my helmet. Which is uncomfortable anyway.

    Nice seat...looks good. I'm purchasing a 2019 xsr900 this week, and I will definitely give this seat some serious thought. I'm six three, so the added height will not be a problem. Nice review. Thanks for the info.

    Corbin also makes a solo seat for the XSR900.

  • @seaninness334

    The seat looks great. I doubt I'll have much interest in riding two up but it's nice to know it's there. The shorter wheelbase makes the stock back end look a bit stubby. I also think creating more area for a bit of cargo on light tours will be useful. Thanks for the post.

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking the video out. It's definitely a trick bike to make space on, especially with the short rear end

    • @seaninness334
      @seaninness334 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@XSRDetroit That seat (in addition to being more comfortable for all) really thickens and extends that back end. The highlighted gold also seems to do this. It's a really nice effect. I'm still unsure of the tail tidy configurations for myself. Anyways, I like the channel and like where you've gone with it. Best wishes on riding and general health during this time. Any trips planned?

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! I'll be heading out in a few weeks for a camping trip, I'll definitely be filming. Should be a fun ride.

    Thanks for the review! looking at a gunfighter and lady for my gsxs 1000. I really like the UJM style look this seat ads. Did this seat give you a longer reach to the ground?

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but only a little bit, it added a bit of height to the seat

    How can I order the same Corbin Gunfighter without the lady seat? Can you share all the specifications you used for that seat? I'm very interested in buying it for my 2024 XSR700. Thanks!

      I grabbed this seat used, your best bet would be to reach out to Corbin

    Hi. Just watched this video as I'm considering buying one. The only issue is that I live in New Zealand now so the total cost is US$650 - so its not cheap. My question is "is it worth it"
    Craig

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you ride with a passenger often, yes it's worth it. If you're riding solo you could spend less for more comfort. I bought it mostly for the sissy bar.

    Was there a change in seat height when you made the switch? I can't flat foot the xsr900 and wondering if this helped at all or made it worst.

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To give you some perspective I'm 5'8. I would say the seat did drop the seat height just a bit. With riding boots I'm pretty much flat foot

    Seat looks great! What material/panel/welt/color options did you choose when ordering from Corbin?

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100% to be honest. I bought it used. I assume black for everything.

    How much more comfortable is it than the stock seat? I’ve ridden the stock seat on two 1,000 mile trips, it does get hard after a while. I’ll probably get the solo gunfighter to use just for those long trips, (I love the look of the stock seat but it is hard, even wearing cycling gel pad shorts under my gear) the rider portion on your lady version looks the exact same as the riding surface of the solo version. This seat brand new is also the exact same price as the solo seat if you don’t get the attachments, ($533 brand new)

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a bit better for the rider. I primarily bought it to make things more comfortable with the passenger. It's definitely pricey but I'm glad I got it.

      Just fine. The material that the seat is made with is a bit slippery but it isn't a huge issue

    How much does the seat height goes up.. short rider here

    • @XSRDetroit
      @XSRDetroit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 5'8, it doesn't effect the height much, might be a tad lower. It has more space to move around than the stock seat, I prefer the Corbin

    Does your passenger trust the backrest enough to sit back and not hold onto you?

    • @XSRDetroit

      I asked, she said yes. The mount peg for the sissybar is very sturdy.
