I am glad you have tested the bike after setting the suspension. This is exactly what I need, thank you for showing us that really works well and is enough for trailing once in a while. Very good video!

If you ever go back to the Jordan valley, park at dead man’s hill. Then it’s a 10ish mile hike to the camp ground, and then another 10ish to get back to the car next day. Makes it more of a “legit” backpacking trip. Nice video!

"Do it like I would out in the woods". Wheels out Jack stand, ha ha and giant breaker bar. You really need to use the stand you're going to use in the woods, and spanners. If you're planning on laying it down with no stand then do that and see how difficult it would be, to get the wheels back in, and you torqued it up are you going to have that with you in the bush to undo the nut?. Great video BTW , good learning experience for you. Ever since I got a rear flat on my T7 . I always mount my tyres at home with the stuff out of my toolkit, except the pushbike pump (why torture yourself). I just mounted that exact pair on my 300 Rally think it took about 15 mins for the D606, from empty rim to finished, there is so much technique involved. Lube the beads, small can of WD40 on the bike, dish soap and water at home. If you're struggling on one side check the other side is still in the wheel well (the side that's already on the rim), as that will affect the side you're trying to mount. Keep making sure the beads are in the centre well. Start opposite the valve, so the valve isn't holding it out of the well a bit. Also my 606 had a yellow dot on it normally this denotes the lightest part of the tyre to mount nearest the valve, helps with balancing. Stick with it, I'm 64YO and yeah sore hands the next day for sure. 🤣

Glad you like your 2023 Maverick. I have the identical truck only in Alto blue. So far it has been very reliable for the last 14 months. Only had the recall to reprogram the tail lights. My Synch has not had any issues so far. I find the tires noisy on old pavement and there is quite a bit of road noise coming from behind the back seat. Other then that it is quite nice to drive. I really like the black interior that comes with the black out package but it does need cooled seats to go along with the heated seats. I wish I could get a Lariat with a cloth interior though. All in all it has been a great vehicle. I traded int my 2019 loaded F150 Lariat so there are a few things it had that the Maverick doesn't but it is still a very useful and easy to live with machine. It is the fastest vehicle to warm up in the winter time that I have ever owned and is much easier to clean snow off of than mu F150 and gets much better fuel economy. BJ in Ottawa, Canada

Just now catching your video, and congrats! But after 39 years working in bike shops myself, I feel I must criticize your "speech" while changing tires/tubes. No - being on your knees is not a bother. Your back and hands do not hurt, but you "heard yourself" claim that they do. This mindset is completely counter - productive, and will not serve you well in your future attempts. You do not hurt, you feel no pain, and if the bone isn't "sticking thru the meat"- your fine! Love; Uncle Greg.

I have 13k miles on a 22 FXE and I love it. Most of my rides are 50-60 miles on forest roads and secondary roads to get to them. I've stretched 100 miles on a full battery, but that takes some work! I will never be more than 45 miles from my house and that's the way it is! Range anxiety is real until you learn the regen game and having GPS with distance home helps. You cannot ride 2 people on the bike for any distance either. Too small. It would be difficult for anyone to have the 7.2 as an only bike because of the range and slow charging, but the thing is a blast, and if you don't respect the torque, it will throw you down in gravel or on grass a minimum of one time each ! I also have an XMax and a F750GS.

I don't know the numbers but it drinks gas way faster running at 60-65 mph for extended times. Around town and 25-35 mph on dirt roads is ridiculous...like 70 mpg. Still really good on gas either way though

How much weight can your roof rack support? I am wondering if there is a carpenter or ladder rack that can be added to the Maverick so ladders and longer lumber or other items can be carried on the Maverick taking advantage of all that space on top of the roof for hauling stuff around. (Kayaks would count.)

Not surprised with the thin paint on the Maverick. Paint is an expensive part of the manufacturing of the truck and the Maverick is a price point truck. The old ford Maverick car from back in the day had something called an LDO option (Luxury Decor Option). Along with the interior and some exterior trim upgrades (and these were real notable upgrades with substance to them), they added something else. They added an additional coat or layer of paint. It made a real difference. Both in looks and long term durability. I wonder if we will ever see something like that offered on the Maverick pickup.

If you need co-pilot when you drive, you should not be driving at all. You youngsters today need to grow the F up. It's two hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road at all times. Don't trust artificial intelligence.

In my bike I receive the wind against my chest but not against my helmet. How it is with the L? Goes the wind against the chest or hit the helmet too? I have a 24 Lariat with the All Black Package in Silver. My mileage is usually 21-22 MPG. I upgraded several thing including tinting all the windows and blacking out any chrome (AWD, silver lug nuts). I have a black interior that is so much better than the two tone seats. I have not had any problems in my 6K miles.

You are better off with a spray in liner. The drop in can vibrate against the paint as you drive which can result in paint rubbing off and then rusting.
