Great video Mike! Love that you included the messages between me and that clown of a corbin salesman... hope this helps other people looking for a saddle for the 1100 rebel. Cant wait to try it out for myself but will for sure put some protection between the bike and the saddle. As always keep up the great work bro! Love from Norway 😘
try replacing the bolt with a thinner head?? Adding something in between only delays the paint chipping. And that thing you'll be putting in between is what will rub against the paint.
Being an old guy who has bought many Corbin seats over the years ... There is no excuse for the responses from customer service; None! Thanks for the posting. BTW, I remember Corbin from their inception over 50 years ago I guess now they are big and successful and leaving the lowly $800 customer out in the cold.
Dude, I was so close to ordering the classic solo seat from Corbin. Wonder if that one is better. I wish there was more informative stuff like this out there for our bike, you're the man
Be warned, I know someone personally who had their frame scratched by Corbin’s solo seat as well, then switched to the Mustang seat and loves it. Plus, for the $600+ price tag, you can DEFINITELY find better out there for just a solo seat! You could find a local upholstery shop to redo your seat exactly how you want for a fraction of the cost and still get to keep the helmet hooks since you’d be using your stock seat pan! Or the Mustang solo seat is sub $400. I appreciate the kind words by the way! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
got almost 30K miles on my 21 Rebel 1100 DCT. Put the Mustang seat on about 2K ago and love it thus far. Jus sayin . . . Much success and God bless, y'all.
Wow, 30k!?!! How many sets of tires have you gone through? I’m just over 6,500 miles and I’m getting the cracking in the front many people are reporting.
@@Sectionatebeats on my third set - went back to stock Dunlop/Sumitomos after a round on the Pirelli night dragons. Yeah - 29,428 miles to date. Bought her in June 21. Would recommend replacing the bearings up front and back every 15K or so as I had the back ones blow out on i95 southbound at 75/80 MPH. Wheel was visibly cocked over to the right by the time I rolled her slowly into a gas station next exit. Honda was solid and replaced rear wheel, ABS, brakes, etc. Had told the folks where I get it regularly serviced I thought we should replace the bearings but they said I'd know when they needed replacing. . . LOL - Great bike and I've no frame of reference since Ive not been on anything else before. Daily rider in NE Florida/Jacksonville area.
@@RobertGPriceLLC ahhh man, they were right, you knew right away alright, luckily it wasn’t worst! I will proactively change for sure as I’m on the heavier side and lots of potholes and bad roads here in NE. Thanks for the great info! 🙏👍🏼
Very interesting! I was considering a Corbin for my Africa Twin even though it was near $900.00 here in Canada......now I am thinking I won't spend that kind of money based on your experience and the lack of customer service.
Thats crazy, to see the response recieved and to know it's a known issue. I was on the fence because I don't like the look of how big the seat is but this helped me make the decision
Yea man the fact that an eBay seller has better customer service than a company that’s been established in the industry for 50+ years is pretty crazy. Definitely not what I was expecting out of a $678 seat from such a well-known company 😔
I had a Mustang seat for my 500 and now have one on my 1100. Mustang seats take away vibrations and increase the ride time between pit stops. Excellent product.
Now that I have 1000+ miles on my stock 500 rebel seat I can say I could comfortably ride it until empty. Would like the Corbin for a second rider and customization plus others have said it’s comfortable and the extra height. But will stick with the stock
Got into your channel Burch, you and SRKCycles, and it motivated me to get my own motorcycle. Finally got my own Vulcan S yesterday (can't find a honda rebel near my city) and going to start taking classes soon so I can drive it. Thanks for the entertainment.
I only get my Corbin seats in Black Asphalt. No ugly stitching or pattern at all. It’s grippy and doesn’t clash with any of my bikes. I also don’t ride with a passenger other then my 15lb dog. My girl has her own bikes so I can’t speak for passenger comfort. My butt likes the feel and I don’t mind the additional weight from the Corbin seats even in my Groms.
Informative video, I was looking into purchasing a Corbin seat but after watching your video Corbin is out. Taking the time to show the texts and photos was key for me. It's one thing to tell a story, it's another thing to back it up with texts and photos. Thank you!
Wow. Corban really dropped the ball. Those seats cost so much because of the supposed detail to dimensions and quality. It's a damn shame when the OEM seat looks better than a seven hundred dollar seat. Banging heads with your passenger or being concerned with throwing them off definitely breaks the experience of riding. Nothing about making a quality seat should be rocket science. Durability, comfort, fitment. I heard Mustang had fitment problems too with the 1100 but may have worked the issues out.
Agreed 100% man! Not the experience I expected at all. From what I’ve heard, Mustang fixed their latching issue, so I may consider looking into them. Just not sure if I’m ready to have my heart broken by another seat company 😭😂
Yes, they have, at least with the solo seat, fits like a glove, easy to take off and put back on 👍🏼. Still hard as wood, but I think it has a break-in period as well (I threw an air hawk on it and I’m happy) 🙏🍻
WOW! Thank you so much for sharing this video. I have been looking to upgrade the seat on my Low Rider S. I had narrowed my choices down to 4 different companies, with Corbin being one of them. Thanks to this information, they no longer are on that list. The questionable quality is bad enough on its own, but the poor customer support and unwillingness to back up their product is inexcusable. They will not be getting my business! Thanks for the heads up.
I have been trying to decide between Corbin and Saddlemen 2up seats for my Indian Scout Rogue. I will be going with Saddlemen for sure! Thanks for the advise.
I have had pretty much the same experience with their customer service but related to a different issue. I have also had the same damage done to my Rebel 1100 and took steps to keep it from happening again. I do like the way the seat feels but also do not love how it looks but it is pretty sad how a company like that can charge so much for a seat that just won't do shit to for the customer after the sale is made. I probably won't be buying one from them in the future as well
I’m worried I’m going to have the same issue. I have the mustang passenger seat and the burly brand sissy bar and the back rest is hitting the belt line. Waiting on the passenger kit from Honda, then I can actually test it. Anyway thanks for the update on Corbin. I am really happy so far with the rider mustang seat. Such a shame that Corbin handled that so poorly.
Definitely let me know how the Mustang passenger seat does with the Burly Brand sissy bar! That seat’s been on my radar too, but it’s starting to seem like our best bet is just having our stock seats redone to exactly the specs we want.
@@LifeOfBurch should be on next weekend. I’ll let you know. Ya I’m really starting to think the same as you. Just going to have to custom the passenger seat. I do want to diamond stitch my rider mustang seat so maybe I’ll just have them clean up the passenger seat while I’m at it. We will see.
Another great video Mike! I almost bought one for my Honda shadow, but the shipping times for my seat would take way too long so I bought another OEM seat that was just newer with fresher foam. Pretty happy with it! Ride safe brother!
Wow, I was going to buy a Corbin seat, Fairing and bags for my Triumph Rocket 3 GT. But after this video I will not. Thanks for showing this video. It has helped me make a decision.
So glad I came across your video! I was so close to pulling the trigger on one of their seats for my Road King. Very glad I did not. I'm going to message them and point to your video as the reason I am holding off, and see what the response will be.
I was just debating between a Corbin (which I’ve had great experiences with in the past) & a Saddlemen seat for my new 1250 GSA. Now that I’ve seen this video I’m happy to say I bought the Saddlemen.
First time comment, long time subscriber. Love the content, keep it coming! Go blast Corbin on their social media pages about the damage and customer service, if you haven’t done so already. I’ve heard time and time again that this method dramatically helps get your point across about their product. Any reputable company would help make this right, it’s sad to see them not be cooperative.
Try the Mustang Solo tripper Solo & passenger. I cannot vouch for the passenger seat, but my solo looks great, feels better. Made the whole riding experience more enjoyable especially when accelerating. I've put on over 1500 miles with this seat (over 5k on the 2021 bike) and it is far superior to stock. Not at all slippery and absolutely no damage due to beefy rubber bumpers. Plus, you get the original access to the storage.
I’ve thought about getting the Mustang set, but if I decide to stick with the two separate seats, I’ll probably just have a local shop redo the stock seats to my specs. I want to be able to keep the underseat helmet locks if I keep the two separate seats. I’ve sat on a Rebel 500 with a Mustang seat though and it was sooo comfortable! Definitely high quality stuff 👌🏻
I know I'm late to the party, but I have a a super cheap fix for the bolts that scratch the bike. Self stick weather seal tape (9/16" W, 5/16" T). I put the weather seal strips over the bolts and the best part is it's soft and squishy, so it's not rough on the paint. You will need to press down to bolt the seat in, but nothing crazy. I've had my Corbin Dual Tour for several months now, took it off to leather treat it and no scratches! I learned it from another TH-camr, but I forgot his name. Hope this helps.
Good info for all your subscribers and their friends and family. I know I will be sharing this with everyone I know and will specifically not recommend
Thanks for sharing this experience with us, in the way you did. Hope someone more helpfull in the corbin company will see this and act aproprietly. It's a shame for any company deliver such a faulty product and then react in such a bad way, that a call out like this, is even nesessary.
Just watched another video similar to this and he had good experience for himself and partner mixing corbin solo with mustang pillion. A bit mix match but if you get black corbin it will match ok. Just a thought if you wanted to give it a go.
Wow, good info to know. Good customer service is super important. No one likes spending a ton of money and then being kicked when you present reasonable concerns. Corbin certainly seems like a business to be weary of.
Thank you for that, it is always useful to learn that sort of thing from someone else's experience. A born again rider, my last bike was 2003 CB 1300.( loved it) Had about 10 bikes from 1973, never a real sportsbike, nothing like a cruiser and nearly all Japanese. (4 UJM's, litre or larger capacity) from the mid eighties onward. I like the idea of the rebel and the anticipation and planning of a new bike is as sweet as ever, it should be fun. Given that I am not good at I.T. and not particulary cashed up, (I don't live in the US, the bike is $21,000 here so you can you extrapolate what that seat would cost) an experience as you report would be incredibly frustrating. I have allowed for some after-market goodies, (your two-brothers' exhaust is a must) and would have trusted corbin just because I recognise the name from way back. It's already too late to have the bike and goodies before Christmas. Buying, ordering, paying, waiting, and anticipating the best (and only) present I have ever bought myself, will be very, very, nice. Had I decided to order from corbins, maybe not so much. Again, thank you.
Yeah man, I had nothing but issues with a Corbin about 15 years ago on my Monster. Since then Ive put a Sargent seat on every bike Ive had with no issues and superior comfort.
I had a corbin on my Ninja 1000. I loved the way it looked. It was freaking gorgeous. It was so uncomfortable, though. When I contacted them they told me to keep using it and it would break in. I did that. It never got better. I replaced it with a seat from another brand and decided corbin sucked.
My Corbin seat feels wonderful, for me, but I haven't a) exercised the passenger seat with an appropriate test subject or b) checked under the seat for damage. Guess I have to do that now.
Great video. I wish I saw it earlier. I just bought a Corbin for the T120, but its made too far back and now have to stretch and lean forward for handlebars, the leaning then negates the reason I bought the seat so that it is a little taller and more comfortable. Although the firmness is nice, but it needs adjustment. I will see how the customer service is I suppose quite soon. Thanks for the video!
There were fit and finish problems on my Corbin 2-up. I had to add extra washers under the front U-bracket because the seat did not want to come off the bike once attached. I really had to struggle to get it to come off after the first time I attached it. There is also a tiny imperfection on one of the seams that I will eventually have to repair. I haven't and probably won't contact Corbin. Even if they agreed to fix it, shipping and waiting is too inconvenient for me. My last complaint is not Corbin's fault, but I really miss the easy seat removal now that I need a hex wrench every time I want to remove the seat. Two things I really like are the comfort and the looks. I can easily ride 90 minutes without my butt going numb which was impossible with the factory seat. I personally like the way the passenger seat is higher, not from a passenger comfort perspective which I haven't tested, but I think it makes the bike look more old school. No paint damage on my fender, but that's probably because there hasn't been any weight on the back. All-in-all I like it and will probably keep it, but they could have done better. As you discovered, their customer service is notoriously bad. You are kind of on your own after purchasing.
Great video. I received my new Corbin seat for my 2022 Nightster. It does fit. The Nightster seat is hinged on one side to enable one to get to the gas cap. It may only be off 1/4”, but it will not lock . Their solution is the leave the seat bolts loose and to force the seat to lock. I have told them that it is time to make me a new seat. If they refuse, I will file a complaint with my credit card company and the BBB. Too bad, the owner of the seat could not do this. But since he leaves in Europe, I am not sure what recourse he has. I will keep in the the loop for their resolution.
Still waiting on Corbin to give me a refund. I filed a complaint with the BBB but they have 21 complaints against them. I also filed a dispute with my credit card company to get me a refund. Hopefully, I will not get stuck with a $450 paper weight 😂

Glad to see a newer video from you Burch. I hate to review this but I feel I must. First Everyone is different about their bikes and the products the buy for them. I personally think the seat looks good on your 1100. Old school King/Queen look. The fit is what people need to understand. It’s an aftermarket bolt on seat. Metal to paint fit NEEDS to be covered. And where it rubs padding needs to be added. It might be a few layers of electrical tape or foam padding. It might provide protection for your paint. You can’t see it and if you don’t like it it comes off. Common sense. And if your honey doesn’t like it go back to the original seat. I hope the guy across the pond will enjoy the seat. And Corbin is not on my list to buy from. Thanks. Happy motoring.
Good review! My experience with Corbin has been different. It's all-day comfortable for me (I do lots of long-distance touring). I have it on my Goldwing DCT Tour and had it on my BMW K1600 GTL before that. It's firm, but that works for me. I wear padded bike shorts from Walmart for extra cushioning and breathability. The seat sits me 2" further back than stock to fit my 6'5" self.
Hi Burch, I'm glad I watched this video because I just got my 2023 Rebel about two months ago and was recently looking at the Corbin seats... I will now look at others... No Corbin seat for me. Mainly because of the lack of customer service...
I’ve had good luck with Corbin on a ZRX 1100 I had and am considering one for my 2024 GSXS1000 GT. I appreciate your review, if nothing else it gives me a heads up on Corbin. I’ll be cautious.
Thanks for the advice on the seat. Ya that customer service guy obviously did not care. I was looking at the mustang solo tripper 84000 seat for my rebel 300
I had a Corbin seat. I had it ordered with the bike from the dealer. I live in Central Florida about an hour away from the Corbin shop in Ormond Beach,Fl. The seat looked great on my bike but my Tushy doesn’t have eyes and after about 85 mile I started squirming on the seat in discomfort. I too as well thought maybe it needed to break in some. After a few months, no dice. I contacted Corbin. They said Up to one year from purchase Corbin will re-foam the seat with a less denser foam for no charge but I had to ship it to California at my expense as the Florida shop doesn’t do these repairs. So I ship it via Fed. Ex. I get the seat back about a month later. The seat was better but not by much. I ultimately sold the seat at 50% off its original cost. I happened to find a guy out of Virginia who took my original factory seat and built a custom seat that did the trick. Also, the guy had me sit in my bike and my wife took pictures of me on my bike as he wanted to see how I fit the bike. He asked my weight and height as well. Later on down the road I sold the bike just because I put allot of miles on her and I wanted to try something else. Now as I said, Corbin looked great but my tushy doesn’t have eyes. I’ve been riding for over fifty yrs. and I’ve had seat issues before with many brands. It’s almost like manufacturers know owners will be changing the seat just like changing the stock tires or shocks… If you ever sat on a stock Harley seat you’ll know what I’m referring to.
Wow. Great video and insight into Corbin. Am a new rider and seat upgrade is something I've been looking into. Thanks for the heads up, that brand was what I had in mind because I figured they make quality stuff. Personally prefer a company that has great customer service even if other brands have superior products. I don't mind paying premium for peace of mind and thus will shop elsewhere.
I just got a Corbin for my MT 07 and definitely sits high. This type of customer service scares me. Thanks for the honest video and you’d think at that price point they would be head and shoulders above… Guess not wow!
Thanks for the info, was planning on getting a Corbin for my KVS 650 but haven't decided on one. Have you tried Saddleman or Mustang seats? I hear good things about their seats but haven't heard much about their customer service...
Thank you so much for making this video man! Love your content. Watching your videos has really inspired me to get a Rebel for my first bike within the next month and you cover things in a very personable and relatable way that other content creators just can't or don't do. Very much appreciated and keep it up! There is no doubt you will continue to get bigger and bigger with your genuine approach to everything. Much love!
Yea I recently bought a seat from Corbin for my mt07. I've put around 2800 miles on it at this point, the seats are firm to begin with for sure... they do break in like a good pair of work boots though. I didn't have any issues with my seat snapping into place, no damage. I watched your entire video and it sounded like most of the cons from the seat was weighed in favor of the passenger experience. The gunfighter lady backrest seat that I bought works like a charm and would probably have been better suited for anyone wanting to frequently carry a passenger. Another difference between my seat and that one, was I bought the Vinyl seat. The stock seat from the MT07 was hot garbage, you'd slide around everywhere and was so uncomfortable after around 40 miles. I bet the leather corbin seat was just as bad if not worse for slipping around. But the Vinyl seat has been a dream. The customer service was funny.... I'm not sure why your buddy didn't immediately ask for a different contact. If they can't open a image from a email... I would've want someone else.
I've read numerous posts on forums where they had problems with their Corbin seats not fitting the bike and Corbin refused to take them back. How did you get them to take yours back?
I ordered seats for my 03' GSX-R1000 and after a short time I noticed a slight poke through the seat over hard bumps or acceleration. It actually created a pin hole in the leather. I had to pay for shipping back to Corbin. It turns out the wrong length screws were installed during manufacture. All they did was change the screws, they didn't recover it and they they just sent it back. My position is that there was a manufacturing defect that caused the leather to be damaged. They needed to fix both. Its been years and 70,000 miles on that bike, that I will never sell. The seat is very comfortable and looks good from a distance, it's a shame I'll always see the hole and tell people why Corbin sucks. I told them they should fix the seat cover because I have many years of riding left. I have spent money on 4 other aftermarket seats since then and am about to buy a Sargents for my new GSX-S1000GT+. Corbin seats are also very heavy, if you're the type of person who buys a lithium battery to save weight then a Corbin seat is not for you. The seat pan material is thick and heavy like its out of the 1960's, made with old school techniques. They came up with a process that worked and never innovated afterwards. The Corbin Sparrow, is why the seats are so expensive?
Love your content and although I would probably never have spent that much on a seat anyway. I will definitely stay away from a place like that! Thanks for the warning
Yup, 100% in agreement - I got food poisoning at California Tortilla once... and haven't been back since. As for your seat, that's a damned shame, and I feel for you and Sindre. After seeing this, I'd be leery of buying anything Corbin as well! Thanks for sharing!
@@LifeOfBurch HAHA, no, the one in Bethesda - and it's still open. It was some chicken-based burrito that I always subbed in beef. Funny how such a horrendous 3 days turns into a lifelong memory, huh?
In Washington state there is a guy Rich’s custom saddles. He measures your butt on the bike and builds a custom seat. Like getting a Tailored suit. He is legendary in the area. He book about a month out. Done in a day. Fit in the morning and drive away by 5pm. Burch, If you come out, I will let you use my Rebel 1100 for the fitting and transport.
You are one of the best to deliver content and back it up..a rare occurrence this day and age of misinformation/disinformation. Thx a bunch for sharing. JP
First, I want to say thank you for sharing not only the story, but screen shots of the conversation. Pretty damning evidence and excellent reason not to trust Corbin. Second, DUDE you still haven't replaced that ant-filled left mirror? 😆 That was such a weird thing to happen. Glad you caught it before getting on the interstate. Third, as of June, it looks like Mustang finally makes a seat for the Rebel 1100. I think it's still wise to add electrical tape or some other barrier under the aftermarket part to CYA, but the Mustang seat is also 1/2 the price of Corbin. Good luck!
I was considering buying a Corbin product a while back. I called their customer service for information. It sounded like a young teen girl answering my call which is fine but she couldn't answer my questions and when she was transferring my call, she hung up on me and did call back. That's one of the reasons I didn't buy from Corbin. The other was their prices and shipping costs combined with their customer service.
Thanks for this video, my buddy actually recommended a Corbin seat and while looking at videos I found this, thank you so much. I will avoid the Corbin.
Great video bro… I am in New Zealand and wanted to buy a Corbin seat for my rebel 1100 and you have saved me the struggle to get one 🤟🏻… sorry Corbin, you have lost a customer
I would have sold my HD Sportglide if it wasn't for the corbin seat. The stock seat had me too far back and after an hour of riding I was tired... Now I can keep going like the energizer bunny
I have the Mustang solo seat. I enjoy the feel and riding position so much I got the passenger seat for my girlfriend. She loves it over the stock seat. I'm sure Corbin is a good company, maybe they just have the wrong person handling their customer service. Maybe this post will make them do something. Do the right thing Corbin. 😡
EDIT: I also had to deal with Christopher, he was also a massive jerk. For some reason, he received all my photos just fine, and I sent 4 at a time. What a total load of bs. I bought a Corbin seat for my Honda CB300R; despite them asking for my inseam, it raised me by over an inch an a half so now I have to tip-toe at stops, the seating position was raised by over and inch and slid back by about 2-3, and they got the color wrong. There was also a 1/4-1/2 inch gap all around the tank and tail. I reached out to them, and the customer service guy, Christopher, basically evaded all my questions, before/after pictures, etc, and blamed it on me and told me I could send it back and pay to have the color redone. Thanks to the massively different seating position changing my balance so much, I also dropped the bike at a turnaround that I've done dozens of times before with no issue. It's the first time I've ever dropped a bike, and I'd have been able to save it if my feet weren't on tiptoes. (Did I mention it was very uncomfortable and I had to shift every few minutes, and my shoulders and wrists were screaming after only 30 minutes because I was hunched over so much?) After reading some other complaints online, I've concluded that the old Corbin from before 2015 is gone, and an irresponsible, badly-designed catastrophe is in its place, with bad customer service, as well.
Thanks for the heads up.Cus of Covid, many things are not returnable. Now we have monkey pox, exasperating the issue of non returns & the excuses, that it comes with
Check the rebel1100 seat i bought from aliexpress. Look great, great quality.. you keep the rebel design and its extremely comfortable for pillion. For the rider its better than the stock and looks better too. Didnt damage my bike and was extremely cheap compared to yours
Glad I saw this. I was going to order one for my bike. I guess I will be looking at the mustang seats. Maybe the solo tripper if the have it for the 1100.
I’m lucky that I live close to a Corbin factory in California. I’m going in to have mine adjusted because I’m also slipping all over the place. The back seat is also a lot taller than stock. Hopefully they can do something about that as well.
I was actually surprised with your vid, maybe it's because I got the gunfighter. You're right tho once you get a bad taste in your mouth it could make you steer clear from that point on
i would contact the better business bureau and file a complaint. i appreciate you posting this though and saving a lot of people from spending the money. i was told in my new rider fb group not to buy Corbin and this cements it.
I bought a corbin seat for my triumph 2018 tiger low - I asked them to keep it low due to having a low bike. They ignored my request - sent a generic seat for a 2018 tiger 1200 - it didn't fit exactly center which was annoying, and the heated seat only worked with a switch that if you don't switch off, kills the battery. When you put the seat on - it raises the riding position so high, I couldn't ride the bike without leaning over to one side at every stop to put my tip toe down. Corbin will never get my business again.
I was looking for a Corbin seat for my 2021 Street Bob. I went on Corbin's website and assembled a seat. Before I hit the Order Tab I noticed something... The front of the seat extends PAST the Bikes Frame, and Rests on the Lower Portion of the Tank. A 💡lightbulb went off in my head that said, What materials are going to be leaning on my Tank ??? My bike is MINT and it cost me almost $20K OTD - I don't want any Scratches on the f**kin tank. After some research I discovered that what is on the Underside of that seat are Metal Rivets Drilled directly into the Seat Pan, which will be laying DIRECTLY on the Bottom portion of your tank. With your full bodyweight on the seat, those rivets will be digging and gouging into the Tank's Paint. I thought .... WTF 🤔?? That can't be good . I'm NO Engineer, and not much more mechanically than someone who Installs aftermarket parts that I purchase for my Bikes, but I DO KNOW that metal rubbing, hitting, or being ground directly into paint, will DEFINITELY gouge it. I'm SCARED SH*TLESS of this seat now - I won't Touch It. I'm currently running a Saddleman Step-Up on my HD, which is a perfect fit. The front of the seat stops microns before it touches the tank, and the tip is padded with the Vinyl Cover ( or whatever material they use for the seat cover is ) , and that's the ONLY part that rests anywhere NEAR your Tank - and Again - it's SOFT , NOT METAL . The Corbin just looked so Cool , Custom Color Stitching, Etc....🙁 I can't believe they would overlook something like this. Anyway, while the Saddleman is not as Comfortable as I'd like , IT IS A Perfect Fit. It Looks Kinda Cool, and it doesn't Scratch my bike - I'm gonna Stick with it. GREAT VIDEO my Friend - Thanks for Confirming what I suspected.👍
This might encourage the Honda company to make some improvement options to deluxe seats for their bikes like their biggest competition in the cruiser market does, (If you get my drift)
I kinda like the gunfighter seat but it’s so damn expensive. Idk I need to see one in person. But when I saw those messages that turned me off to Corbin completely. Thanks for sharing this.
Love the honesty when it comes to bad experiences even when it’s a brand you like.
Thanks bro 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great video Mike! Love that you included the messages between me and that clown of a corbin salesman... hope this helps other people looking for a saddle for the 1100 rebel. Cant wait to try it out for myself but will for sure put some protection between the bike and the saddle. As always keep up the great work bro! Love from Norway 😘
But the real important question. How was his pronunciation?
As far as the pronunciation goes, not great. Not terrible 😂
Thanks man!! I appreciate you even giving me the chance to try the seat out! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
try replacing the bolt with a thinner head?? Adding something in between only delays the paint chipping. And that thing you'll be putting in between is what will rub against the paint.
Thanks, saved me a great deal of money :)
Being an old guy who has bought many Corbin seats over the years ... There is no excuse for the responses from customer service; None! Thanks for the posting.
@@LifeOfBurch Glad I watched this one. Looks like will pick up the Mustang instead. Plus they actually have distributors in Canada... TY!
got almost 30K miles on my 21 Rebel 1100 DCT.
My thoughts exactly.
I'm loving the Mustang seat on my Rebel 500. Best purchase I've made for the bike.
was just about to pull the trigger on a corbin, looks like im going in a different direction now. thanks for the info Burch!
Thank you for sharing, i was looking into a Corbin seat actually.... I will never shop any items from a company with bad CS, so great that you shared.
Check out T-Rex Racing. They’re making the passenger peg and bracket set. Just got mine in last week from em.
Hands down the best seat for the rebel. Have one on my 500. Absolutely worth the cash.
Mustang Tripper has been amazing on my 1100 as well.
Where do you buy these mustang seats at?
Yeah I will not get Corbin after watching this, thanks for spreading the news, Burch!
Thanks for sharing this experience with us, in the way you did.
Hope someone more helpfull in the corbin company will see this and act aproprietly.
It's a shame for any company deliver such a faulty product and then react in such a bad way, that a call out like this, is even nesessary.
Agreed 100%! Not what I expected out of them at all 😔
Just watched another video similar to this and he had good experience for himself and partner mixing corbin solo with mustang pillion.
This video is the reason why I will not purchase a Corbin seat and will make sure my group don’t either

Did this ever get resolved?
I was planning to buy a corbin. Not going to anymore. There is no excuse for that sort of customer-and I am struggling to say this-"service".
Mustang is the way to go imo.
Went with a mustang and it made my Indian scout so comfortable.
I like to sit on those memorial benches, I feel like I give them company for a little
Thanks for this video! I was about to by my wife the same seat, but now I'm considering other options.
Happy to help!
I just got a Corbin for my MT 07 and definitely sits high. This type of customer service scares me. Thanks for the honest video and you’d think at that price point they would be head and shoulders above… Guess not wow!
I have had 2 Corbin seats and will always have one on my bike! The will customize the seat to put you right where you want to be!!!
Thanks for the info, was planning on getting a Corbin for my KVS 650 but haven't decided on one. Have you tried Saddleman or Mustang seats? I hear good things about their seats but haven't heard much about their customer service...
So nice of you to read the bench in your video
I have been watching your videos for a while now and you made me a rebel 1100!
Bro respect for the honesty. Thank you for the warning.
In addition to my other comment, seriously, I must say that I was thinking of getting a Corbin, but I don't know now. You've made me question that.
Thx for the heads up. After research I think I’m going to just find an upholstery shop to add some padding to my stock seat.
Love your content and although I would probably never have spent that much on a seat anyway. I will definitely stay away from a place like that! Thanks for the warning
Buuut you will spend twice that on an exhaust 😂🙄
Thanks for your honest review on the seat, that customer service really does seem terrible. Loved the video!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I was looking at CORBIN for a driver seat and a passenger seat back combo. Now I am not sure I will go that way.
Yup, 100% in agreement - I got food poisoning at California Tortilla once... and haven't been back since.
As for your seat, that's a damned shame, and I feel for you and Sindre. After seeing this, I'd be leery of buying anything Corbin as well! Thanks for sharing!
So you’re the reason the California Tortilla in Annapolis shut down?! 😂 (kidding…kinda hahah)
@@LifeOfBurch HAHA, no, the one in Bethesda - and it's still open. It was some chicken-based burrito that I always subbed in beef. Funny how such a horrendous 3 days turns into a lifelong memory, huh?
i was just about to order a corbin this weekend. NO WAY i'll buy one now. thanks for the video
Real bummer that the seat didn't work out. I definitely won't be getting one now :D Thanks for the heads-up !
I hate the stock seat, but hate bad customer service even more, esp after paying a grip...No thanks! Thank you for making this video.
Good luck!
I have suzuki v strom . I absolutely love my Corbin seat. Little expensive but by far my best investment.
Was considering Corbin but after this I can’t comfortably buy without worrying about possible damage, what a shame
Wow! Didn't think Corbin would be that bad. Thanks for the review.
I would have sold my HD Sportglide if it wasn't for the corbin seat. The stock seat had me too far back and after an hour of riding I was tired... Now I can keep going like the energizer bunny
It would be nice to make a comparison video between Rebel 1100 & Triumph 1200 street.
I’m DEFINITELY trying to test out some Triumphs soon! They’re one of the few companies that I’ve never tried before 😳
I think Triumph T120, is the only serious competitor for the Rebel.
(Did I mention it was very uncomfortable and I had to shift every few minutes, and my shoulders and wrists were screaming after only 30 minutes because I was hunched over so much?)
After reading some other complaints online, I've concluded that the old Corbin from before 2015 is gone, and an irresponsible, badly-designed catastrophe is in its place, with bad customer service, as well.
Thanks for the heads up.Cus of Covid, many things are not returnable. Now we have monkey pox, exasperating the issue of non returns & the excuses, that it comes with
Try saddleman…. I had one for my roadking the step up and it was badasss. Had gel and made a hell of a difference
Check the rebel1100 seat i bought from aliexpress. Look great, great quality.. you keep the rebel design and its extremely comfortable for pillion. For the rider its better than the stock and looks better too.
Didnt damage my bike and was extremely cheap compared to yours
Ooo nice!! I’ll have to check that out! Thanks for the heads up 👌🏻
Glad I saw this.
You're right tho once you get a bad taste in your mouth it could make you steer clear from that point on
Wow I will never buy a Corbin seat ever now, thanks for sharing.
Appreciate your info.... I'll certainly never put a Corbin on the Rebel 1100
i would contact the better business bureau and file a complaint. i appreciate you posting this though and saving a lot of people from spending the money. i was told in my new rider fb group not to buy Corbin and this cements it.
The front of the seat extends PAST the Bikes Frame, and Rests on the
Lower Portion of the Tank.
A 💡lightbulb went off in my head that said, What materials are going to be leaning on my Tank ???
My bike is MINT and it cost me almost $20K OTD - I don't want any Scratches on the f**kin tank.
After some research I discovered that what is on the Underside of that seat are Metal Rivets Drilled directly into the
Seat Pan, which will be laying DIRECTLY on the Bottom portion of your tank.
The front of the seat stops microns before it touches the tank, and the tip is padded with the Vinyl Cover ( or whatever material they use for the seat cover is ) , and that's the ONLY part that rests anywhere NEAR your Tank -
and Again - it's SOFT , NOT METAL .
The Corbin just looked so Cool , Custom Color Stitching, Etc....🙁
I can't believe they would overlook something like this.
Anybody else notice he did this Vlog on a couple rides? Note the missing and reappearing left rear view mirror 😅 well done nonetheless!
If your girlfriend says to you “I’m ready to give my butt a break” you should definitely listen to her. ❤
I kinda like the gunfighter seat but it’s so damn expensive. Idk I need to see one in person. But when I saw those messages that turned me off to Corbin completely. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad I saw this before I bought my Corbin. Not buying from them now!
Thx for this review. I was just today looking at the Corbin but the single.
Nice to know. I was gonna purchase a a gunslinger seat for my rebel 300 but after hearing your experience I’ll just stick with my mustangs seat.
