In draft you only get to pick 45 cards, and at the most at a slim chance, 24 pirate hats. So it's not a matter of "should not", it's a matter of "can not"
not sure if your reply is also supposed to be a joke or you're really just that dense have you heard of the concept of exaggerating for comedic effect, my man
He's not playing on the regular Arena server though, Ixalan hasn't been released yet there, that's like the PBE of Arena on which they invite only a bunch of pro players and streamers/youtubers!
I love hearing Luis' game developer brain add some commentary, like tapping lands/creatures/artifacts for the Angel or the loading screen tips. It's a shame they don't have someone like him to advise them while making the game.
it's so much fun seeing you draft a regular set! I was so engaged with seeing if you could pull off the lasso haha, it's great to see such a good player drafting something to it's full potential I guess is what I'm trying to say
The white artefacts work really well, if you have the Moon Smithy. I feel like having your three big payoffs all needing to tap a bunch of your own stuff hinders the deck quite a bit if you don't get a really good early game.
There's some kind of "blue-black / white-gold dress" thing going on with the set symbol because for me it's really clear which is which, but so many people can't tell at all. It's really weird. It's some kind of contrast illusion that affects different viewers differently.
Are you looking at the set symbols on the blue artifacts? Some colours have better contrast than others. Also depends on the size of the cards, with smaller dimensions having so much less coloured zones. With real cards it is often just easier to look for the C or U in the bottom left corner but on Arena that's not an option.
@@jakeskate29 I have no more trouble with this particular set than any other set. I immediately know. My point was that there's an optical effect happening that confuses a certain percentage of viewers because of the stripes. Look up "the dress"
This felt like a good deck but fell to the classic RW aggro problem: good when you draw your cards right but totally helpless if you're a little unlucky. Same thing regardless of format and that's why I've never liked it (but always die to it).
Yeah, needing stuff and mana to craft but also lots of stuff to tap for your payoffs is really difficult if one or two of your plays early get removed.
I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. But I'm getting double ads every 5 mins. I love LSV and understand the need for some ads. But I find this irritating and disruptive
Mtgo is like a strait up paper mtg simulator, just the game information. I get that people find it boring. But arena is just rectangles making car accident noises. Maybe I'm a boomer, but I can't deal with it. I just wanna know what's happening in game.
As a YGO player mtgo is way closer to our free online sims and Arena is basically a worse version of Master Duel. There's no good comparison for Duel Links, but then again MTG has never had a feature film or 30 years of ongoing TV or 100 million copies sold in books so maybe that will come in time
So with this release, does Arena not track the user using screen capture software like OBS to decide whether or not it is allowed to F**K the user over by selecting different shufflers or is it just for this pre-release, so that the average player thinks to themselves "ah... it's not just me who draws 7 lands in 10 cards in a 18 land deck, and the very next game I get 1 in 20"?
Weird that this has never been brought up when LSV routinely goes 10+ cards deep on MTGO without a nonland card. People will complain about literally anything at this point.
first opponent was like "after all... why shouldn't I pick the 54th pirate hat.."

@@AlkonKomm well I still don't know if your original comment was meant to be a joke! Crikey mate
That first opponent went so deep on hats!!!
LSV drafting on Arena is like The Incredible Hulk fighting at an elementary school.
He's not playing on the regular Arena server though, Ixalan hasn't been released yet there, that's like the PBE of Arena on which they invite only a bunch of pro players and streamers/youtubers!
Imagine The incredible Hulk going 2-3 in a schoolyard fight.
I think you would be surprised, there are people who only play online that grind who wouldn’t have played mtgo or paper even
But WHO is the Hulk fighting?
You clearly didn't watch the video.

I love seeing some regular draft content to mix things up!

When I saw so many pirate hats coming around, I decided to full send on the hats. Sadly I got hosed by removal almost every game
It's gotta be a good feeling to see Luis being tickled by your fourth pirate hat.
@@jeffe2267 for sure, I stood no chance against a world champion, but at least I made him laugh!
Love to watch you draft! It makes me such a better player! Thanks LSV 😊
That gnome sound effect is ridiculous
Idiot Aggro is my favorite archetype.
TheCommanderSphere needs to listen to LR. Four hats is crazy 😂
Love the different takes so far on the land cyclers haha.
Rat’s off to ya! Haven’t heard that one in a long time
Wait, I'm missing something, where is the Sandiest of Dogs?
4 hats guy playing Magic like it's Wolfenstein where more hats is more armour.
Enjoying the new set videos!
How will Marshall know which cards are strong if he can’t tell uncommons apart from commons?
First OP with the dreaded TF2 strategy.

the game at 19:42 is…content
I mean you could probably wear 4 pirate heads, if you were a Hydra or a Cerberus.

why is the Envoy not a consideration p2p1?
I think I would've conceded at hat number 5
where do you go to play this?
Magic the Gathering Arena.

I'm glad I'm not the only one complaining about the terrible set icon. 😂
Literally everyone is.
Why is it terrible?
This deck is sweet but I can see this set getting tired fast. They added fun durdle mechanics like Craft that you just don’t have time to mess with
I am getting some heavy (original) Zendikar vibes from this set. Adventuring theme, hyper aggressive... and lots of un-playable cards.
Yeah, needing stuff and mana to craft but also lots of stuff to tap for your payoffs is really difficult if one or two of your plays early get removed.
The tower of hats at 21:52 is a "perfect" example of what is called in mathematics the "secretary problem" :D en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secretary_problem

Well thank those ads for the free content
I got zero ads in the whole video, (I don’t pay for premium) maybe just bad luck?
Got this in the LR commons & uncommons review. 2 ads every 3 cards in a 4.5 hour video. Needless to say I didn't get far into the review

Day 1 of asking you to finally draft Anduril
I never thought id be defending the mtgo interface but holy heck is arena terrible to watch
I find MTGO to be dreadfully dull and bland to watch.
what do you mean, mtgo is unwatchable
arena is way nicer
Mtgo is like a strait up paper mtg simulator, just the game information. I get that people find it boring. But arena is just rectangles making car accident noises. Maybe I'm a boomer, but I can't deal with it. I just wanna know what's happening in game.

The answer is no, arena is not terrible to watch. So what's your defense for mtgo?
So with this release, does Arena not track the user using screen capture software like OBS to decide whether or not it is allowed to F**K the user over by selecting different shufflers or is it just for this pre-release, so that the average player thinks to themselves "ah... it's not just me who draws 7 lands in 10 cards in a 18 land deck, and the very next game I get 1 in 20"?
Maybe it's worth a bug report?
You must be new here, bad beats are just a part of random land drops.
"I don't draw exactly the cards I want, waaaaaaaaaa muh shuffler"
Weird that this has never been brought up when LSV routinely goes 10+ cards deep on MTGO without a nonland card.

Bro, it's a game of luck. Of course, in draft, deck building and card picks need skilled decision making, but just please calm down.
