Idk why everyone is saying this. Chan chose Erika since the very beginning. He loved how nice she was towards him, being respectful and giving him the time to express himself. So, he liked her physically as well as her behavior. When Chan was with Sabrina they seemed to be friends hanging out together. The letter he wrote on the last episode was clearly towards Erika. I mean, he has always been consistent regarding his choice, until the very end. I just don’t understand all this surprise and backlash towards Erika. Give her a break.
I agree. People need to rewatch the show because they're clearly forgetting some details. I wasn't surprised he chose Erika at the end.
The thing about Erika is that she herself didn’t make an effort to socialize with the guys and expected them to go after her. When they didn’t, she used the race card. Yes, the race card is very true, especially in Korea unfortunately. But within the dating show itself, Dan showed interest in her, KJ and Changhak were just too interested in Tiffany and Minjae liked Sonja. Not only that but both herself and Bella were picked at the start of the show based on appearance alone whilst Sonja, who is white and Sabrina, who is asian, were not picked. The race card was clearly just her being upset about not being picked by the most conventionally guy in the show or any guy she deems attractive
@@bierangtamen that might be true in someone’s eyes or not, but as Anna said during the Q&A session about the show, that was her truth. Some might have agreed with her, some might have not.
Regardless this whole thing, Chan liked Erika the most, irrespective of any issue there might have been, and this choice has been consistent, despite fans wanting to ship him with Sabrina. So, no big surprise at all.
@@tortellina1234 I was just trying to explain why Erika received the backlash so not too sure what correlation your second paragraph has since I didn’t touch on my thoughts on Chan picking Erika and whether that was surprising or not
Also, I don’t really understand your “truth” argument. The first issue fans had was that Erika portrayed the male cast in a very negative way due to not being picked by Changhak and despite the overwhelming evidence that majority of the male cast was open to dating other races, she still played the black card which is a sensitive topic and expectedly wouldn’t sit very well with a lot of the viewers. She can have her own truth but her claims inevitably resulted in controversy. Also, not to mention, she left bits and pieces out of her story in her conversation with Bella on the swings about the night with Dan and Kj about racial preferences amongst the male cast in Ramyeon and Chill so her claims about the race situation seemed invalid and understandably upset a lot of people

I mentioned that at the end because it seemed that a big part of the reason why people are so surprised for Chan choosing Erika is because they were so focused on the race issue that they did not notice (apparently) that they had a connection. The editing obviously contributes to that too. But that was the reason why I mentioned the “backlash” thing at the end of my first comment. I understand you were just explaining to me the motives behind the backlash thinking that I might have been oblivious.
As per the truth thing, again, as Anna said, people are entitled to their perspectives, and see and interpret things based on their experience and knowledge. As outsiders we can agree or disagree based on what we know. And I guess, that’s okay.
That was my favorite interview so far. More days should be added to this dating show. This one was only a weekend right? It would be great to see a week of the girls and guys getting more time to learn about each other. ❤ Looking forward to season 2!

yes, i don't like all this bashing and the production is fueling it with their questions. i don't like it. it feels like bullying to me. the show is over, but they keep going as if they are enjoying this. neither of the two were my favourites, but i feel bad for them for being painted as some kind of villains. i especially feel bad for erika. it's not like she played someone. she may have been in the wrong, but so what? it's not like she really hurt someone. the guys may have gotten offended, but they discussed the matter with her.
Chan is my favorite, he was the best-looking and most sincere one, IMHO. I hope that he stays sweet and keep his kind heart. There is going to be a lucky girl out there.

Honestly, looking back on the show Erika didn't treat Chan right cuz she didn't have feelings for him. Sabrina did and that's an important detail to note in him wanting to choose sabrina at this point. Also, it ended up not working out with Erika so.
not treating someone right and not having feelings for them are two very different things. Sabrina also had feelings for Dan since day one.
@@unapolgeticlikeri she mentioned in the first episode before changhak came that none of the guys were her style. One she thought was cute but she didn’t like his personality. I think she was passively into Chan, which is different than Sabrina. I guess we will find out more in her interview if she chooses to do one. She has been pretty quiet on social media about the show so she might choose not to do one.

One of the 🔥moments on the show was after Chan won the “hand-push” battle against Changhak. Bella was walking towards him, he extended his hand out, inviting her to stand next to him. That small gesture made my heart flutter….what a GENTLEMAN! 😍

I agree with that. They should not make them choose between Erika and Sabrina, seriously. That makes things so harsh for the person. Just filter that out and make other comparisons if you need to. But not this one: this is clearly done for engagement purposes, but I feel like it’s not worth it!
As a supporter of this show and DKDKTV/Anna, I agree with you. It was completely unnecessary. As producers of this show, they should remain neutral. Erika was bashed quite a bit so this is fueling that fire and it doesn’t sit right with me.
Having opinions during the show as a viewer is fine but i think at some point it should be enough. We already had the commentators who werent very nice the majority of the time and now we have this which once again pushes viewers to be harsh/mean. Just trying to stirr the pot and cause more drama when there is no need for that especially since the show went on for less than a week
Interesting how they didnt ask "Bella or Sonja" during Minjaes interview, yet they asked Chan "Sabrina or Erika" simply because they knew Erika is disliked by many and because they knew him and Erika arent in touch

I personally don't enjoy to watch such as dating shows but I immediately searched & watched the entire show because of him. :' damn i really love his personality. Idk if I phrased that right. But basically when you reach a certain age you prefer seeing confident and self-assured women on screen over the shy, innocent, and insecure type. We're just not relating to those emotions anymore. I also thought majority of DKDKTV viewers we're in their mid twenties and above so it's surprising to see so much support for Sabrina

@@LovelyLittleLillies I feel just the same. I’m 26, and I really do not relate to her. Indeed she has her charm but she seems immature to me and not particularly appealing. I shouldn’t make comparisons, but I think this example is quite right in this instance. Nadine from Single’s Inferno, had basically no dating experience, but she was still very bubbly with everyone and showcased her quirky personality in a cute and innocent way that was however attracting. I think in this case, confidence plays a big role. Sabrina seemed to lack some confidence in the show. That’s my take.
