Hey guys, what do you know another Supergirl edit with many more to follow. I just can't seem to help myself, this fandom is so inspiring!
This hasn't come out as I want, there is more I wished I could have added especially scenes with Cat Grant...another time, another video. I wanted to do a video on Kara's insecurities, struggles and anger because I love drama and tragedy.
These scenes seem to feed my inspiration and to make a 'feels' video. It's all I know! :D
What can you expect from someone who's favourite scene from the Lion King is Mufasa's death.

When Kara cries it seems like she cries not about only one thing but everything that has been taken away from her. She lost everything she loved...
I think when she cries it's a build up not just about one particular thing.

I love how this video sums up all of Kara's internal struggles. I can't imagine how it feels to have your family and your world yanked away from you. Kara is also one of the least selfish people there is. She truly just wants to help everyone and make the world a better place. She is truly a hero for everyone!
Yeah, I love exploring the complexity of characters, and Kara's story and life is such an interesting aspect to explore. In many episode they add a little more to her. She's an amazing character I can't wait to see how they develop her further.
I watch your videos and I realize, that Supergirl is more than just a tv show, more than just a part of dctv. These powerful messages that the show is full... I have tears in my eyes, thank you.

She always loses everything. But she deserves the world. I didn't know a TV series could teach me so much about kindness, hope, compassion, humanity. I couldn't figure out how she could continue to save even the villains. Despite what anyone told her, she had hope in the end and that was just so inspiring to see that if Supergirl had hope then I should have to.
That's awesome I'm glad she an represent that for you. After all Supergirl's motto is hope, help and compassion for all.
What I am about to say, probably will make me cry, but I had to comment this video.I really identify myself with Kara, not just because of personality, but her story. She lived her whole life without her parents, same as me and Supergirl have become my favourite tvshow so as The Flash, because his story is similar with mine (family story).

Yes, I see you. ^-^ Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment it really means a lot to me. Although I don't identify with the show the same way you do I'm glad liked my video. This aspect of the show aside from Alex/Kara's relationship is the reason I keep returning.
I don't really get emotional when it comes to editing, and Supergirl hasn't made me cry...YET but it's the emotional scenes that speak to me and I resonate with the most. They can be so powerful and I feel like Melissa plays this role so well.

Thank you, it is one of my favourite edits that I've done, I'm not sure which is my favourite, but this one is up there hahah. Of course as the creator I see faults in all of my work, there are a handful of things I would change about it in retrospect. I would like to do another video, a more up to date version for Kara as she has been through a great deal more the past few seasons since this was made. Kara's internal struggles and emotional stuff is my favourite theme to focus on as I've done a few videos on it. I just love the angst and emotional stuff, so I guess expect more of this kind of thing in future? Haha!

This video is the perfect representation of who Kara is and all the feelings she has. It has the emotional DNA of Kara in the comics, which is also why I love this edit so much! It has all the feels of New 52 Supergirl angst.

Wow. Wow. This is absolutely amazing. Wow. I've made videos from these shows, but never this well. May I ask about how long it takes you to make these? They are incredible! ^^
Aw, thank you so much I'm really glad you like them! I specifically remember this particular edit took about a day or so which was pretty much non-stop editing because we were really inspired. So yeah this was finished very quickly in relation to a lot of our other edits which can vary from a few hours to days to make. It really depends on the inspiration, how slow or fast the song is and how long the song cut is. If i was to average out how long it takes, probably 3 days of editing spread out over a week or so.

I, from the bottom of my heart, believe Alex should have let Kara yell at her mom longer rather than cut her off. She needed to get rid of her anger and anguish and that was the safest way she could
I mean she wasn't yelling at that point she was screaming and using heat vision. Alex was just trying to comfort her rather than stop her. As it wasn't doing much good to have Kara getting angry and upset with something that essentially was only an AI, not even that.
