This is epic and such a brilliant character study on this iconic Superhero! I really love your take on Kara's religious/spiritual beliefs and how you connected that in regards to other characters and how she inspires them. I find that to be a refreshing and fascinating concept as you get a deeper look into her backstory and her faith. Kara is such a wonderful and intriguing character. She may be the most powerful being and seem indestructible but underneath it all she is like anyone else. There is humanity in her through the love she has for her family and friends and for her people. She is beautifully flawed. Melissa does a fantastic job portraying her and giving her layers and depth. Again this is awesome!!! You did an incredible job with this and love the song choice! 😀❤
this is amazing, thank you!! i'm so happy you think so, I found the concept of faith, her motivations and her worshipping rao along with her being worshipped by other people something really intriguing that I really wanted to explore because she's such a deep, vibrant and rich character and with a complex background and Krypton's got a huge culture and history too so I wanted to kind of shine a light on her more spiritual side and her upbringing and dig into that more because it's not something we've really seen being touched on fully on the show but when it's referred to in scenes you can tell it means so much to her, and melissa does an incredible job at portraying that and adding so much more depth and context to Kara with her mannerisms and line delivery over the years which I really love. & I agree completely she is beautifully flawed but that's also part of the reason why she's so magnificent I think because she might have these superpowers but deep down she's a person just like us and so that kind of enables us all to say 'we can be supergirl, we can be like her, we can be kind, we can be the best we can be, we have that potential.' y'know?

Yes I find it fascinating as well: her backstory, her religious beliefs, how people see her and are inspired and her character. The way Kara was brought up is different than how her cousin, Clark/Kal-El/Superman was brought up as unlike him, she was raised on Krypton and feels a personal attachment to her home planet and she's experienced that loss, seeing her planet blown up and to lose her family. It's like she's missing a huge part of herself. And you're right, the show doesn't fully touch upon that...her upbringing, her spiritial side or touch upon her past traumas, losses and how she originally covered it up because she felt like she had to or no one would understand. I wish they would do another episode like the one in 1x06 this season. It would be awesome if they did something like that for Melissa's directorial debut as we get a deeper look into a backstory and touch upon her past/current traumas and losses. Like seriously Kara needs therapy and emotional love and support from her family and friends. And yes Melissa plays her character brilliantly and I know she would sell it. That's why we can identify w/ her because what she stands for: hope, help and compassion for all. Kara always has hope even after all the pain she's endured and that's why fans look up to her because she's inspiring and so is Melissa. She's a real-life Superhero.

I really liked this montage and the music is absolutely beautiful, my only criticism is that the music is often too loud and drowns out what is being said in the clips.
