Aw thank you so much, so glad to hear you enjoy our content. ☺️ For me personally the majority of my content is ripped Blu-rays as they provide the highest quality I can get. I don't use scene packs for several reasons. The biggest one being that TH-cam crushes video quality but it's great for people just starting out who want the media quickly to get started.
I miss the Supergirl Series, it was a great show, it was so sad to see it, I haven't seen you, make a great edit like this for a while, I miss these edits.
@@vq5554 The show doesn't exist in 4k. The media is ripped from a Blu-ray which is 1080p. The UHD export setting is to keep the bit rate of the files as 1080 upload limits the bit rate to 8 Mbps which crushes the Blu-ray files. UHD allows you to keep all the bit rate from the rips. 👍
There are variables, but the simple answer would be, yeah. Someone (unlikely) may have ripped the Blu-rays and not compressed the files any further and made them available for download. I ripped my own, so I wouldn't know if someone else has done it and uploaded them. Secondly, I'm kind of a quality snob and will do anything to try and reduce compression artifacts for my own videos. I work in TV and was trained to look out for compression issues in files as one aspect of my job, so I have an eye for noticing things that the general audience may not notice or be bothered by. So, I may see the compression issues in other videos that they can't see. Essentially, I wouldn't bother going through the effort if you don't have the tools, software or Blu-rays to do it because it's expensive. You'd be better off picking another source and getting the slightly lower quality version because you probably wouldn't notice the difference unless you put my media next to the downloaded one.
