Dave, there’s something that is so satisfying about being in the middle of the forest, yet you are able to maintain a sense of home. As long as you have food and heat, you’re good. Pretty neat to watch your videos. Were you in the Canadian military?

We don't have many big snows or super cold winters here in N AL, but that's my style and I'm doing it this winter! It does get cold here enough to need a hot tent and I've been researching different styles and heaters. I love your setup. I do like ones you can see the fire but I am going to research that kind too bc I know you chose it for a reason. I've been watching your channel and see your order and gear list and see you know your stuff from experience. The cold is no joke as you know. I'm not skimping or picking gear from just names. I'm going for type also like all the wool choices you did and base layers up to elevating platforms that double as sleeping tables. I do have some health issues like a muscle condition that hinders me from getting to exerted especially in extreme temps hot or cold so unfortunately I can't go alone for safety reasons but thats ok too at least ill be out there. So I live in Florida. One time I got out of the pool, it was about 70 degrees out but the wind was blowing so I bout froze.
