12:36 I definitely agree with the notion of frameset options...While the industry seems to be offering less in the way of framesets, we need more (and with UDH please)!
@@BrianMcDonald haha the brand "Speeder Cycling" is releasing a road frame soon with UDH. Specs and design are oddly similar to the latest Tavelo Arow frame.

@@ChinaCycling hi Joe, Nusantara is here for Tour Gateh D’Tranung. They identify as Nusantara Devo Team. It’s going to be fun watching these young lads battle it out! Cheers
Love the reviews!!! But those upgrades are way more than $2K... more like $3K. The wheels $1540 and crank $375, bars $300, tires and tubes $100, saddle $250, ceramic jockey $350 and BB $180. That aside, I love the reviews and based on your recommendation I plan on getting that Tavelo bar for my scott foil RC30.
Thanks for watching! A few of things for consideration: 1. With my discount codes (#influencer) you'll save $200 off the wheels, OSPW, and BB combined. 2. I mentioned in the video that a power meter does NOT come with the complete bike. So you would have to invest in one regardless other upgrades. 2. You should easily be able to resell the Vision Metron cockpit and included Entity 50 wheels.
Do you need to get custom spacers for the cockpit to fit your bike? How do check if a cockpit is compatible with a bike or not (Are they usually interchangeable?)?
The integrated cockpit is from Panda Podium. If you order through them it comes with compatible spacers which you can specify on their website. The handlebars work with any 1 1/8" steerer tube.
@ really really good so far!! It’s an upgrade from my polygon strattos s7. This is my first aero bike but I loge it so far. What I like about it is the price and what you get for it. Wanted to get the a9 but it was only the groupset and the wheels are different and ai didn’t feel like it was worth it at least now. I’ll spend more time with how it is now but what I might change soon is the saddle and might get some powermeters.
I installed the same crankset with magene chain rings. Did you have to raise the front derailer at all? Whenever i pedal backwards my chain derails. Did you have to index the chain at all?
I pretty much did the same as you did with my A9x as I mentioned in your first look video. The saddle it comes with is just not good for a race bike(I still use it on my commuter bike because it's still a comfortable saddle )I swapped the vision metro handlebar because 42mm is too wide. I changed the Dura Ace C60 for a Princeton Carbon works Peak4550, and the bike felt great both on flat and in the mountains. compare to my other superbikes, what this bike lacks is just brand recognition----- whenever I'm on this bike other rider would assuse I'm riding an open mold bike. with the Magine power meter I have a completely different experience (same model as you have ): the power number is always too high, and the left-right balance is opposite to my other powermeters. I don't know if it's a common issue or it's just me
Magene offers a lot of value. However their electronic products (PMs, bike computers, etc) are still just a step behind the big brands in terms of reliability.
Love the reviews! At the end you mention that the steering/handling felt predictable and controlled. How much of that is the frame/form geometry and how much is the 140mm stem? Wouldn't almost any bike feel controlled with that long of a stem?
Thanks for watching! Seat tube angle, head tube angle, rider weight distribution, and stem length all play a role in the overall bike handling. Among other variables too. But no single aspect lives in a vacuum.
@@PatrickLino Makes sense! And in this case it's not your only bike with that kind of stem length so its a much more even comparison to the other bikes you ride
Hi Patrick, I also bought this handlebar with fsa acr headset cover and spacers. Small question: did you buy and used the fsa acr compression ring (H2474) to fit the headset cover on the bearings? Thanks in advance.
Howdy. I only used the same headset bearing from the Polygon frame. All the other hardware like c-ring, top cap dust cover, spacers etc where supplied with the Tavelo specific handlebars. Hope this helps.
Update on my Helios: Mine is now 7.2 kg with bottle cages, power meter and paddles.I had a customized crystal effect red and blue paint job, and somehow it made the frame a little lighter(also fixed the seat post slipping issue since the new pain made the seat post thicker). I weight my size XL frame and it was 1005g, which is acceptable. I ran full Dura ace 12 speed di2, but used a set of new Red cranksets and sigiyi powermeter. This combination saved around 230 grams compared to stock 9270P Power meter crankset. Also I had a new wheelset build, 50mm steel spoke front and back weights 1320g with 23/30mm inner/outer width. I have to say that the bike feels way different than the stock configuration, the A9x was like 8.1-8.2 kg, now it rides like a dream. My remaining complaints are 1. i wish the frame sizing could be better: I'm 6,2 and just like you I use to play basketball. My arms aren't as long as yours but I also find the need to use longer stem to compensate the lack of reach. I think its the same issue with Chinese bikes as well--- asian people are shorter in general (I consider myself a tall Asian) --- the bike sizing is weird compare to western brands. 2. The brand polygon doesn't really mean anything. Even though mine is now a beautiful custom paint bike with top of the range components, people won't look at it the same way they look at my other name brand bikes--- not that I care since I'm lucky enough to own many super bikes--- I feel if someone else is spending this amount of money, they might find the band lack recognition. Overall it is not going to be the most desirable bike, but it does offer a lot of performance and value for the price. I also would ask you to chime in since you ride many bikes as well, I object feeling is it's not the most thrilling bike to ride, but it definitely rides well enough, not super bike but way above average for sure.
Nice video bro as always. Kindly let me know your version of the bike computer? I am using bsc200 and want to upgrade and notice that you are also using igpsport :)
