  • Manchester, a Gangster city from the early 1910's, notable for the worst gun culture in Europe's history. South Manchester's gangs became engaged in feuds with each other for the control of the drug trade. Shootings and murders increased in frequency in the area. This started attracting negative news and media headlines, with the nickname of 'Gunchester' being used to sum up this increase in gang, drugs and firearms activity.

Theres always one person who comments on any video about British gang culture claiming America is so much rougher, 1 difference in size 2 difference in population 3 firearms laws....... so tbh yeah America probably is more dangerous but who actually cares? its like childish playground antics my dad is harder than your dad lol grow up

So how is that something to be proud of?
Truth is, you English people copy anything Americans do.
The music, the accent, the attitude, the swag, everything.
You wish you guys were American.
This video was titled the "bronx" of "manchester", after all
      Get real "bruv"

sean mclellan I couldnt agree more. I couldn't be prouder to be from where I grew up, but unfortunately gun violence is definitely a part of life here, nothing to brag about let a couple of people you know get murdered than tell me how that feels, unless of course you are the type of of person that takes pride in such negative shit.

ANYWAY FANTASTIC PEOPLE AND GREAT BANTER.we would often drive around moss side in my mates car and buy some nice weed from the lads on the bikes.good days

Remember when organised crime in Moss Side turned pretty medieval, more and more people getting hacked with machetes (in addition to firearms) etc. Then the police pretty much banged up everyone who wasn't squeaky clean in the entire area. Crime plummeted after that but left a vacuum for other areas to take advantage of.. Salford, Cheetham Hill, even Scousers, Brummies & Southerners.

    • @ronburgundinho3929

From the U.K. - Been to Amercia twice (Detroit, Ohio & Opa Locka/MIA) but never NYC. NYC was at it worst throughout the 1970's & 1980's. Even during the late 1980's, parts of NYC looked like parts of Germany & during the war, after it had been blitz and that's NOT a joke or exaggeration to. That's just setting the scene/the backdrop. Add to that (1st) heroin epidemic, then (2) serial killer phenomena, then (3) loads of ex-Vietnam war veternas, wondering the streets & out of their minds on drugs, (4)hiv/aids epidemic, then (5) crack cocaine epidemic, then (6) gang culture, then (7) street crime that fuelled smack & crack, then (8) liberal guns laws. NYC during the 1970's & 1980's was "YES" a place to travel and for international business, but NOT an international tourist destination like it is today...... The point being made is that there never had been a place, time or era in the U.K., that could or would rival USA for violence/crime THANK GOD.
PS: genuine love & respect from 🇬🇧 to ALL the people mentioned in the above locations. Especially Detroit & Opa Locka, MIA. I'll never forget you people👊

If people spoke to the police rather than allow drugs pushers and dealers to hide within the community then the young people wouldn't be being shot on the street.
If you don't act like a community and don't fight to keep the crooks off the street, then you are allowing crooks to act as they wish.
Don't blame the police for targeting everyone, if you don't tell them who the crooks are.
The blood of these young men, is on the communities hands, they know who the drug dealers are, but they do nothing to bring these to men justice.

The people of Ireland had enough of terrorists murders and stood up and stopped the violence. It's not just fear of dealers it's an institutional hatred of the Police. Well there is no one else to help you put these thugs away so wake up.

I used to go to the spinners pub in moss side in the 80s to buy my weed were the crescent shape flats were they are gone now I believe I went there from Stoke every week end it was a tough place if you didn't take liberty's you were fine then in the late 80s early 90s I got hooked on heroin I'm clean now have been for years but it had 15 year s of my life no one forced me to use it it just happened when I got made redundant from the coal mine I worked at to much money and to young to have the cash I received but it's a long time ago my fault I never stole from people I was what you call a functioning addict hard when you have to work and feel Ill but yea that's what happens I suppose and there is no such thing as friends in the drug world you can't trust anyone I've been battered and ripped off I was mistaken for someone else got a proper beating with a tire iron by this dealer he's dead now but yes every thing is dandy when you're high but shit when you are in withdrawal apparently they give methadone in the prison system but I don't know if that is true I heard it comes under torture when you are refused a substitute

I get really eerie vibes from watching videos before 2000 massive difference in technology but it looks more like late 80s to me but who would I know I was born in 96
