Luton Town season ticket holder, been watching since i was 6 years old in 2004/05, seen us go from league one champions on 04/05 championship then down to non league via 40 points deducted over 2 seasons with one being a 30 point deduction in 08/09 which we still sing about now, we won the JPT that year with 40,000 supporting us at wembley, 5 long years in non league, making history being the first non league team to win at a premier league team in the FA Cup, had a few play off heartbreaks before winning league in 2013, then 4 quick league twonyears, and then back to back promotion to the championship, now in the prem, making our mark, incredible what we have done without a sugar daddy, turning down gambling sponsorship. 100% the best story in English football, so glad my dad brought me up supporting Luton Town
100% spot on ! I was at Wembley that day 2009 and last year's play off final....I was one of the grown men crying last year....I'm 59 years young and watched Luton in the 80's at our peak at the Kenny. Im an unbelievably proud Hatter....big up to your dad !
I've just been impressed with the way they've thought about everything. They didn't go out their and spend tons of money on anyone they could get their hands on. They simply thought about the future. They have a squad good enough to compete in the PL and good enough enough to come back up if they get relegated
Their true strength is in the fans. Through thick and thin, they will support and they will endure and stand by their beloved club. I was supporting Luton in Wembley playoff final. The amount of grown men crying after the penalties was unbelievable. It’s just how much it meant to them. They deserve this. From being ridiculed in August to being feared in February. Come on you Hatters! 🎩
My Dad, bless his souls was a Luton fan, I should have followed his lead! I'm a Northampton fan, although we are doing great in League 1. I'd love Luton to stay up and totally agree with each point you made. Great video mate, well done!
It's not only the narrative of the club that is beautiful, but the great majority of the players who some of them were disappointing in premier league clubs (like Ross Barkley), almost ending their careers (like Andros Townsend) or still playing for the club since the lower leagues (like Mpanzu). It's impressive how players like these and many more from the club want to prove wrong a whole league by fighting each and every match and maybe survive another season in one of the most elite leagues in football.
I'm a Liverpool fan but I really hope Luton stay up. Their story alone is absolutely jaw dropping but the fact they bounced back so well and are now on par with some of the richer clubs in the league is just amazing and honestly if they keep up this pace I think they could (or at least try) win a trophy or two in seasons to come
Really enjoyed watching this. Been a luton supporter for over 35 years and it's honestly crazy how we are now progressing. Excellent editing and presentation. Keep up the excellent work.
My favourite analogy for Luton is that we’re a bit like the wrestler Mick Foley. On the face of it we shouldn’t be here and the idea that we are here makes no sense, we’ve taken beating after beating but through giving everything to the fans we have finally been rewarded and it’s hard for people to hate us.
I'd love for them to stay up. Even their stadium has an old school vibe that is really disappearing nowadays, especially with all the historic grounds being knocked down like Highbury, White Hart Lane, Maine Road, Goodison Park, possibly Old Trafford too.
I remember in league one back in 2007-2008 we both got relegated together and 2008-2009 in league two we were both on minus points facing liquidation 😭 Fair play Luton and get well Tom Lockyer. 👒
Fantastic video mate Luton Town, a traditional club with traditional values with genuine supporters and run by people who actually support the club not just see it as an investment or something they can spend their pocket money billions on. Win, lose or draw they get the same response from the fans, always encouraging and just ecstatic to be in the premier league. These so called expert pundits are looking more and more likely to look very stupid come the end of the season. The fact they wrote Luton off before a ball was even kicked is an indicator of just how corporate the league really is and not a supporters league; they should be more concerned about that but in reality all they are concerned about is money. COYH!!!
Brilliant video, thank you. I’ve supported Luton since the year after they got relegated in 92 and this is pure fantasy. Those 5 years in the conference were terrifying in terms of whether the club could really keep going each time that they narrowly missed out on promotion. To have such a healthy ethos from the board, to the manager, to the players, it means everything and to see them capturing people’s imagination (and being an example that anyone can have a chance) is wonderful. Thanks, this video summarised a lot of that.
I'm old enough to remember Luton as a top flight club. My younger workmates find it odd seeing them there now but I don't. Luton genuinely are a good news story in football. Salford, Harrogate and Wrexham are bankrolled, Luton are not, but they get so little credit. In truth I think the media hate when a small club gets all the way to the top. I remember how the original Wimbledon used to be regarded, something the media likes to pretend never happened since MK Dons became the ultimate bogeyman club.
Great video mate, as you promised, so fair play 👍 Congratulations for highlighting the ignorance of Garth Crooks , as you say there is a shift in people’s thoughts towards the Hatters, but not Crooks.... the man is a fool...🧡🧡🎩🎩
An excellent video young man. It's tough on Burnley this season, after such an amazing season in winning the Championship. I hope you stick with Kompany and give him a chance to build. As for Luton, we're living the dream and yes, I was one of those grown men who cried after the penalty shoot out win over Coventry. Big respect to them by the way. COYH 🧡
as a Burnley fan knowing full well we are going down I hope they stay up, Edwards is just a classy guy and I honestly can't wish them anything but the best
Another class video as always Vizeh 👏🏻🔥 I absolutely love the whole story. Going there 7 years ago in League 2 & then looking at them now is just madness. Even the fact that 2 years ago Rob Edwards was managing & winning League 2 with FGR. Everything about Luton is special.
As a Liverpool fan, I don't want to see Luton relegated. There's this feeling of honor and pride that comes when you watch their games. There is joy in the football they play. I wanna see them stay in the Premier League
Good man, great video. It actually states some obvious truths, but truths that need a greater airing. When Luton got promoted we did, initially, receive some coverage based on the "non-league to Premier League" narrative. Sky Sports did a documentary, with a bit of archive footage, but it was all essentially puff pieces - nobody (outside of Luton) was interested in the real story. The real story is that the last 50 years at Luton conceals more rogues, chancers and (fortunately) unsung heroes than a whole shelf of Dickens. I guess it's the nature of the Premier League that they only care about the headlines, not the details. I was glad to see a couple of managers (I think one was the guy from Plymouth) go on record, saying that Luton's success proved that money wasn't always a prerequisite and Luton in the Premier League should be an inspiration for all clubs. Unfortunately those voices have too often been drowned out by the likes of Garth Crooks and co. These people are determined that only hard cash (and lots of it) can get you to the top. Well, Mr Crooks, a lot of us feel that guts and hard work are a match for buying your way to trophies. Even if we get relegated, I wouldn't trade this team for any other.
It comes down to one thing, and that is a good scouting operation that looks for players that fit the purpose they need. I would add managers to that too. It's no fluke that we have come from non-league all the way up on a shoestring, and you are right, it's 11 vs 11 and it doesn't matter how much those players cost, if the basis of the football played is correct, and the players and manager are carefully selected, then it just works. As a Luton fan, I understand it's unlikely we will stay up, and the majority of us have known that from the beginning of the season, but if we do manage it then I don't think the story ends here.
Luton has the fight of Leeds in 21/22, high goal games and stayed up. If Everton are hit with a second point deduction with forest, i believe Luton will have the fight to stay up.
Thanks @Vizeh I liked your video. The town are staying up. I have supported Luton for over 30 years since the old First Division, to the conference and back to the top. This season l'm loving the team performances.COYH!!
From the start, I gave Luton a chance. In fact, I expected them to finish as high as 14th at the end of May 2024. To see ALL of the elitists both online and in mainstream and alternative media cope, seethe and sneed online when Luton trounced both Newcastle (who are owned by the Saudis) and Brighton (who aren't a club to be trifled with) as mere examples and held back Liverpool and nearly felled Arsenal and Manchester City is pure golden nectar for me. When they stay up and Everton and potentially Nottingham Forest fall, 2024 will be awash with outrage and embarrassment. Especially because Luton Town Football Club has proven what I've said ALL this time about any sport (and Life in general as an ironclad RULE): Skill, Hard Work, Dedication, Smart Strategy Application and nothing else is what you need to win, NOT MONEY! Money on its own NEVER WORKS as it has ALWAYS been the case throughout sporting history.
Big credit to the manager who is able to use thri strengths to the best. Imo I think Lutron Town is the best team at set pieces and if they do get relegated they would be the best team I have seen to get relegated in a while ngl. And I’m sure they will be right back up next year
I think after Luton’s first run of games & losses they took the approach if they’re going down they’re going down swinging .. Have to respect it & hopefully they stay up ..
Honestly I’m happy that Luton is recreating the heroics of Blackpool in 09/10 was it? A massive underdog tipped to go down the first time of asking putting in an absolute shift in almost, if not every single game, lets hope they can go one better and stay up
@@Vizeh100%, I love how we can reminisce this period of the prem again through Luton instead of just seeing the top 2/3 just dominating the smaller teams on a weekly basis
As someone who doesnt really follow english football seeing luton's adventure is really heartwarming in this world of money We have something similar in france with Concarneau just reaching Ligue 2 for the first time in their history and getting by quite well to boot, when around them in Ligue 1 2 and National clubs try to throw money at the wall Concarneau are just a well handled small club sticking it to the big ones, all that even though their home pitch isnt up to norms so theyre never truly playing home (they played some games in Guingamp, most games in Lorient or Brest and even had to play one at Caen for their "Home games")
The elephant in the room is the looming possible points deductions for Everton and Nottingham Forest. If they each receive a deduction of at least a few points, i think Luton will be virtually assured of staying up.
As a Luton fan since the 70's it's been a rollercoaster of a ride but this season so far tops them all- I hope we stay up and if we do it proves that money spent does not equal instant success- Great non bias video btw
Luton has been successful because the squad has actually been playing together for several seasons. You can’t spend millions of dollars and get that sort of cohesion.
20 pts right now after 22 matches. With how the final premier league standings have looked the last 3 seasons, 38 points should just about get the job done. Which means 18 points in their next 16 matches! Very much achievable and hopefully they will even though after Sheffield utd, on paper at least, they have an insanely tough set of fixtures+ man city in FA cup round 5
Ok, 1st time commenter here, been watching your videos for a while now. I'm not from England, I've grown up adoring Arsenal through mainly Henry and Bergkamp, my fav players of all time, thanks to my older brother. Always been a gunner. But nowadays, it just doesn't feel right with all the jerking off rwanda and emirates. I'm officially on board of Luton hype train. I have been watching their games this season, rooting for them without really thinking about it. This video made a difference to become a conscious supporter. There's also the fact that their unique colors match those of my home town! Go Luton!
As a Chelsea fan i can't help but hope they stay up they show that football isnt just who can fork up the most money. Hopefully our owners can keep their fucking check books in their pockets
My uncle from near Glasgow moved to Luton after fighting too many men and having them gang up on him. He died of alcoholism and cigs. Luton has a special place in my heart
American here. With all the controversy in PL today, Luton is one of the few clubs that appear to represent what the PL says it's about, in contrast to what seems be the reality. I have no business supporting any English club, but you'll lose a few teeth if you try to take my Luton hat.
*I know I'm being crazy for saying this, but I hope that Luton Town can win the Premier League just like Leicester, it would be the perfect ending of their amazing rise*
if i didn't support everton, i'd like to see luton stay up, unfortunately they are such a pain to deal with in this relegation dogfight... not only did we lose to them twice this season already, they are also capable of pulling out results out of nowhere
I've had my hopes on Luton staying up the entire season and I'm glad they've been fighting for it so far, really hoping they pull it off. Also, they've now officially taken the People's Champion title from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I used to go to support Luton Ricky Hill / Brian Steen days and when Luton were relegated from the football league I was just thinking how long will it take until we get back to the first division ( prem.league ). Honestly . And I think it's what many others thought too !
that is the price you pay once your club gets promoted to the top flight.....welcome to EPL...now you understand how the rest of us feel......waiting list will be your new reality if Luton stays in EPL for many seasons...
Great video and I really enjoyed the spotlight into Luton, but I can't help thinking you've undersold Brighton's story. Not just a half of football from going out of the football league, but out of business because they didn't have a ground for the following season as it had been sold by a corrupt board without arranging an alternative. Would love to see you do a real deep dive into their story.
Rob Edwards deserves the world if he keeps us up this season But I personally don't see it happening, we'll probably pull a Luton and miss it by a point 😭
The most impressive thing about Luton is that they play very admirably against the big 6 clubs at their home ground: - They came seconds away from beating Liverpool. - Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and even Man United could only beat them by one goal. I hope they can stay in the PL as long as they can.
Hi Liam how were the marathons you did in memory of your mother hope they were fun yet memorable and honorable she’s looking down on the heavens on you being proud of what you become
I personally think heidenheim in bundesliga they also came from the 5th division in 10 years but they had the same manager the whole time and now have European football
Really need Luton to stay and Ipswich or whoever else to go up from the championship, if the promoted 3 and relegated 3 just switch places again then that’ll be a bad precedent.
i'm from Indonesia where majority of my country rooting on big team, but before this season started i already rooting for this team ATLEAST stay on EPL. I know they early matches was kinda harsh but, it's getting wild now 🔥🔥🔥
Credit to you fella, from a Luton fan myself, sorry that your a Burnley fan! We are certainly putting a big effort in, despite the limited resources we have, compared to nearly all the other Premier league teams. I think we can stay up but I hope it will be on merit rather than points deductions for teams like Everton and Forest. Credit to Sheff Utd for doing a "Luton" on us on Saturday, they did their homework and that's credit to Chris Wilder. A bad day at the office for us, but we get up and go again. We are long overdue to beat Man Utd on Sunday. Come on you Hatters! 🎉

Big respect to Coventry and their fans, they were class at the play off final. Good banter, no trouble and mutual respect
Always said Luton were done dirty by the FA with the points deductions, etc. I'm hoping they stay up. Great video, mate.
I Love those Underdogs in Football... My favorite team is an Underdog in the german game... So far we had one Cup Final... Sc Freiburg is my big love
Luton will stay up
Top Video....look forward to seeing more...keep it up.
Easily the most entertaining team this year
Everyone loves them
2014- *10 years Ago.* Yeah right its been that long.
_realises_
Holy, it's been that long.
My uncle from near Glasgow moved to Luton after fighting too many men and having them gang up on him. He died of alcoholism and cigs.
Luton has a special place in my heart
Wish you well❤
American here. With all the controversy in PL today, Luton is one of the few clubs that appear to represent what the PL says it's about, in contrast to what seems be the reality. I have no business supporting any English club, but you'll lose a few teeth if you try to take my Luton hat.
As a Luton fan for 30 years it still boggles my mind that Americans have heard of us! Thanks for the support fellow Hatter #COYH
@@ThePassionHiFi Thank you! The world is full of Hatters, they just haven't discovered it yet. #COYH #LTST
I hope Luton stays up
I have nothing but respect for that club and their story. Honestly, Luton town play some great games.
*I know I'm being crazy for saying this, but I hope that Luton Town can win the Premier League just like Leicester, it would be the perfect ending of their amazing rise*
thats why this sport is so increadible
if i didn't support everton, i'd like to see luton stay up, unfortunately they are such a pain to deal with in this relegation dogfight...
not only did we lose to them twice this season already, they are also capable of pulling out results out of nowhere
I've had my hopes on Luton staying up the entire season and I'm glad they've been fighting for it so far, really hoping they pull it off. Also, they've now officially taken the People's Champion title from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent, well informed article. Much better than the mainstream media nonsense. Very impressive.
Excellent vlog young man.. living the dream
I’m watching this video in April and Luton are 18th on goal difference. Remarkable group of players and management.
Ross Barkley is a game changer un real talent
I saw luton play away against gateshead at carlisle! whose ground was unplayable due to flood damage. Non-league to the Premiership, unbelievable.
The biggest people’s champion since Chael Sonnen.Luton now have a higher chance of surviving than being relegated according to betting odds
Great video on my team...& that's what we are a team, not 11 superstars 🧡
A really thorough and intelligent analysis. Great video.
I used to go to support Luton Ricky Hill / Brian Steen days and when Luton were relegated from the football league I was just thinking how long will it take until we get back to the first division ( prem.league ). Honestly . And I think it's what many others thought too !
As a luton fan that's just turned 18 and is able to finally go watch home games. I'm actually pissed because every game is selling out instantly 😭
that is the price you pay once your club gets promoted to the top flight.....welcome to EPL...now you understand how the rest of us feel......waiting list will be your new reality if Luton stays in EPL for many seasons...
The Town are staying up
🎉
Great video and I really enjoyed the spotlight into Luton, but I can't help thinking you've undersold Brighton's story. Not just a half of football from going out of the football league, but out of business because they didn't have a ground for the following season as it had been sold by a corrupt board without arranging an alternative. Would love to see you do a real deep dive into their story.
Love it man!
Rob Edwards deserves the world if he keeps us up this season
But I personally don't see it happening, we'll probably pull a Luton and miss it by a point 😭
Imagine staying up but Evertons 10 points get halved
The most impressive thing about Luton is that they play very admirably against the big 6 clubs at their home ground:
- They came seconds away from beating Liverpool.
Thank you man, god bless❤
In the 4-4 if a team deserved to win it would've been them. It's great to see them do better than everyone thought
Still can’t believe they did that, I can’t even dream of Burnley scoring that many goals away from home😂
As just a football fan, that Giles deal was brilliant
after this video I now positively can confirm that Vizeh is the biggest jinx in football history
Hey, I really recommend you do HSV, their story is insane and Fiago’s fanbase is gonna spawn
“If we could get 3000 likes that would be amazing”
It’s been out 6 hours and already has 2.3k likes 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Bro Puszcza Niepołomice is the real G
THE TOWN ARE STAYING UP🎶
Be incredible achievement
i'm from Indonesia where majority of my country rooting on big team, but before this season started i already rooting for this team ATLEAST stay on EPL.
i love this club man ❤
Very envious Charlton fan. Luton deserve to stay up just to shut up Garth Crooks once and for all
