That was amazing! Thanks for inviting me into your kitchen for the holidays. The powered sugar at the end was the perfect last touch, even though I didn't think it could be any better. Thanks again Happy Holidays to you and your family. Sincerely Dawn
Какая вы молодец, какой труд, какое мастерство, это просто волшебство! Спасибо большое за великолепный новогодний подарок, за детские воспоминания, которые проснулись вновь!
OMG What a beautifully made video and what an amazing house! Such good quality video and instructions. Hands down the best video I seen this week!👍👍👍👍💯💯💯
With royal icing, just like the rest of it. Not too much so it doesn’t get squeezed out by the weight of the roof. Although if it does, you can always mask the imperfections with icicles letter.
I can't believe how awesome you did I've made a few gingerbread houses in my time but never as beautiful as you have hope to see more of your videos keep up the great work and have a merry Christmas and happy new year
that's an amazing gingerbread house that I have ever seen. You are really gifted and more so very very patient as skill such as this requires a lot of patience and perseverance. Can you please share the measurements of the stencils if possible?? Once again, God Bless You.
are you sure you are not an architecture by trade? i would love to see the same house made for each of the seasons; that would be so cool! thank you for sharing...
I love this video, thank you so much for sharing! will definitely try it I just have one question what substitute can be use in case I can’t find molasses?
How do you get the dusting flour that you use to prevent sticking off of the dough @ 3:50 --> 3:51 ? I made a gingerbread house and left on the dusting flour which made the final product look chalky.
Hmm…Did you use my dough recipe? I never had this issue. If you dust too much then the dough won’t absorb all the extra flour which may make it look dusty or chalky. Here’s how I would proactively try to avoid dusting too much, if my dough was too sticky. I think it’s likely that your kitchen is warmer than mine or perhaps the dough not chilled enough…1. Chill the dough overnight and keep it in the fridge. Don’t bring the entire thing back to room temp. Just the chunk you need. The rest stays in the fridge 2. Roll it out on the silicone mat or parchment you will use for baking the piece. Since you don’t need to move it to another surface you don’t need to use a lot of flour. It doesn’t matter if it sticks to the bottom. 3. If your kitchen is still too warm to roll out and cut the chilled dough in one step without using a ton of flour, try rolling out a big sheet of dough first, chill it for 20min, then cut out the shapes right before baking. I hope this helps. 😄 happy baking!
@@cookingpolish Thanks for the response and the helpful tips! I used another dough recipe...It had good strength after baking but stuck a bit so I was trying to watch different videos to see what I could change. Going over what you said my kitchen may have been too warm and I also let my dough get to room temp. I'll have to try this advice next time. 😁
Oh my goodness this is lovely! How many batches of dough did you use for this recipe? I drew up a template for a house that looks like it's a similar size, and I'm trying to figure out how much I need to make 🙂.
I’m not entirely sure… hmmmm….I made two double batches first, I think that took care of the walls for the most part. Then I made another double batch for the roof and fencing. I didn’t make all the dough at once because my fridge was too full. Lol
Question: I don’t have chocolate fondant for the base. My base is white so I think it will look okay- especially with powdered sugar on top. But will the icing stick to the base?
You should be fine. Another thing you could do is spread a thin layer of royal icing all over your base with an off-set spatula. Let it dry completely. Then glue your gingerbread walls to that surface. Good luck!
I followed a vegan recipe and uncooked dough doesn't seem as dry as you'res. I added 1/4 cup a/p flour extra and still not much change. I hope if it's in the fridge it'll be less sticky.
magnifique, maison très élégante ! Merci pour ce partage !
Thank you! Happy holidays!

@@cookingpolish happy holidays to you as well! 🎀
Nice!
Thanks!
Hello! The house is fantastic, you did a great job! I have one question though, what kind of molasses did you use?
Was it the corn one? Thank you!
I use sugarcane unsulphured molasses. My favorite brand is Grandma’s. When I lived in Poland I used sugar beet molasses or honey.
Я сделала такой домик, это и правда супер, спасибо за вдохновение!
Luv it 💕
Thank you, Carla! 😘
Right away my OCD is rewarded with that perfectly center biscuit..... = u=
Absolutely amazing! What can I use to substitute the molasses in his recipe?
Honey. Use the same amount. It will turn out slightly lighter in color but it works really well in terms of texture and flavor. 👍
@@cookingpolish Thank you! Happy holidays!🎄❄️☃️
I love this video, thank you so much for sharing! will definitely try it
I just have one question what substitute can be use in case I can’t find molasses?
Honey works just as well. The color of the gingerbread may turn out a bit lighter but the consistency remains the same. Happy baking!
@@cookingpolish Thank you!!!
so beautiful🥰

do you have a sketch of the house you are building, can you share it please?
Hi, how thin do you roll the dough out? I have made my custom templates and really excited to start!
How exciting! Mine is a bit less than 1/4". 4mm. Good luck! 😃
can i have the template you used?

how many milliliters are in your cup in the recipe?
250
The excess dough that was cut off when making the walls, what happened to them? Were they tossed or reused elsewhere?
Reused to make other elements
About how long does it take for the windows to fully set? :)
I leave them for 2-3 hours. They are probably ready sooner than that as my marble counter is quite cool. But better safe than sorry 😉

Can you show us how to make the replica gingerbread house from the Walt Disney World Grand Floridian Resort?
I can’t find molasses anywhere in Poland. 😟
Substitute with honey. 😊 Wyjdzie jaśniejszy ale konsystencja taka sama. Wesołych Świąt!
Znajdziesz w marketach typu carrefour
Is there anything I can use instead of molasses?
Honey. Same amount 👍

Sorry, I don’t know much about vegan baking. I can only help troubleshoot if I tried the recipe myself. Good luck!👍
How thin do you roll out the dough?
Somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4" (around 5mm)
@@cookingpolish thank you!
how thin/thick do you roll the gingerbread please?
1/8”. Quarter inch it too thick and anything thinner than 1/8 and your edges will brown too fast
Share the dimensions??
i thought there was a pattern to be shared?
i am makeing this project for class and I really need to bake today. i would really appreciate it if you can make a template for me please.
