I did attach a door charge to a chair with a hostage on it once. Maybe door charges/wall charges would be a viable alternative remote detonation device?
A quick note, I find that the insurgent weapons (AKM, AKS and especially Uzi) have the quickest draw and shoot time from concealed (perhaps these are open carried) - useful when dealing with quickdraw situations like this! Interestingly, the MP5k has one of the slowest draw times despite being a tiny subgun. Still, you did much better than me in 2 goes than I did in the 10 or so attempts🤣 keep it up!
Tell me about it. I only managed 3 stars by switching out for Rangers, saturating half the map with stingers, and then laying ungodly amounts of fire onto the hostage room door from across the street until all the active moving hostiles were dead. Probably possible to do 3 stars with CIA, but I have no idea how the undetectable challenge would work.
This might be my favorite Door Kickers episode since the bridge assault. The setup and execution is the perfect blend of Hollywood action movie and tactical realism that kept me on the edge of my seat anxious to see how the situation would develop.
My friend and I spent like 2 hours tying this one before we switched to the other team and shot two AT4s across the street miraculously leaving the hostages unharmed
Love the idea that a Black Ops team would be concerned about civilian casualties. Maybe you're thinking of Dark Grey Ops. That being said, stingball grenades are supposed to make civvies flee, and could have helped get your DMR into the fight earlier by dispersing the crowd.
I used the Slingster 2.0 for a hot minute before I got fed up with the adjustment mechanism catching the sling when I needed to make quick adjustments. It was a love hate relationship for me. I'm running the Sierratac/ Spiritus sling and Subrevtech retainer. I previously used an Arcband, and those are dope, but not as good as the Subrevtech. I was worried that the Sierratac piece on their sling wouldn't hold position well, but it has so far. Much better IMO.
Bradlee and Abu Yousef look so much like undercover agents, IRL they would've blown their covers before they even step off of the plane just by looking like that.
This mission was soo hard to do.... I haven't had a good run of it yet, I got soo frustrated I even brought a rocket launcher in a civilian rich environment! It did not go well >.
Oh this scenario (grrr). I went full kinetic-- used stingers to disperse the crowd north east structure, firing x3 rockets into known structure. Followed up with HE frag saturation-- neutralized combatants and securing perimeter and 360 security. Fun map!
I mean, I know you know the hostage's location and have nice little splash indicators, but 'full kinetic' and 'HE frag saturation' really sound like things that shouldn't go together with 'hostage rescue'. I mean, apparently this guy's important enough to merit rescue instead of drone striking the place.
I used the sniper guys positioned in the back of the left room to protect the entrance of the hostage room, so you can be a bit more relaxed with the other two guys... no one is ever going to open the door to kill the hostage.
I used stingers to get the civilians out of the way and secured the road with the rangers. Right after, one CIA guy pulls out his SMG and takes the first room angle to keep executioners out. The angles were weird, but they worked. That said, I wish they would implement claymores or mines.
Finally! I had this mission 2-stars for ages now, but had no nerves to try to get it to 3. Edit: seems like this is no definite guide for 3-stars either ;)
This was a tough mission. I found out that you can walk your CIA agents up to the front door and open it without triggering a response. This made entering and securing the room easier. I set up one of Black Ops across the the market where the Undercover agents started. They covered the room and set a kill-zone for anybody trying to enter the room to get to the hostage. The other Black Ops was used to clear the back alley to the escape route. After securing the back alley, this operator then took up station on the corner of building to the far right, thus covering the market and neutralising reinforcements coming from the buildings across the market and to the left I found that loading my Undercover agents with thunder flashes and and suppressed AK's was the best option. My Black Ops guys, because they were in cover were had suppressed M4's and plenty of thunder flashes After the initial assault, it then becomes a case of safely escorting the hostage in stages, the most dangerous time is getting him across the the market to where your Black Ops guys are stationed. when you have your hostage across the road, then it is simply a case of using two man teams to secure egress! This is definitely not a mission you can speed run!
Definitely one of the harder missions. It's cool to see that I ended up doing almost the exact same moves as you. I'm not sure whether there's any other way to stop the executioners rushing the hostage without losing anyone, and even then it's partly luck.
when I did this, I had the black ops guys with ponchos so they were initially covert, placed a charge on the wall by the xfil point, then once I took out the courtyard guys I placed a charge on the wall into the room the hostage was in, allowing me to have an angle on the door to that room and extract the hostage through the breech, plus another charge to blast into the room with the couch and stun the guys in there and dispatch them, essentially dealing with about half the guys in the building right away as well as gaining access to the hostage, I'd then take my team of 4 back out through the courtyard in the corner, back past where they initially deployed from and down the alley to where I'd blown a charge to the xfil point
Hey Controller Pairs. First off, love the videos. As I've said before, I love the way you take your own personal military experience, to create an immersive video. Breaking down each move your team makes. It's exactly how I play my games, using real world tactics. Though, I do have a question. I recently got myself, an EOtech EXPS3-4. And I see you're running a riser for it on your MK.18. Never shot an optic with a riser before, does it make a difference in shooting? I got myself a Unity Tactical riser. Would love to hear your feedback.
I also run a Unity Riser. Great piece of kit that gets you on the gun faster and allows for heads up shooting with plenty of clearance for NVGs (when you get there). It changed your height over bore. EXPS is designed for a 50/200m zero. The point of impact on a riser should not change the way you think about your zero, but will change your hold over, especially 25 yds and in. Go to a flat range and measure your point of aim/impact at 7 yds. You'll find that your round is landing at the bottom of the 6 o'clock tick rather than where it intersects with the circle. Hope this helps!
@@ControlledPairsGaming thanks so much, I will definitely give it a try. Thanks for the feedback, and I’m looking forward to seeing the new shooting videos!

Man, this mission is painful. I don't know if the Undetected challenge is even possible.
It is possible.
The map was rebalanced in the latest patch and is a little easier to do undetected, now.
Well, if you know enough about the map, its possible you can beat it undetected, or you know, kill all the enemies before you free the hostage.
I will say I finished the mission.
My approach was ignore the Geneva convention and suppress the entire map.
Oh..."Geneva suggestion". I think I've heard that one.
classic CIA move
