When I'd come home from grade school this was the first shows I'd watch, then Johnny Sockos, Speed Racer and Marine Boy! The early 70s were great. Better times!

@@shadowpapito Got yer back, friend. UHF channel 17 showed Ultraman every day after school, followed by Johnny Sokko, Speed Racer, Marine Boy, AND Space Giants. And for me it was from 1974 to around 1980. There were several cartoons as well, courtesy of Wee Willie Webber, who pretty much ran WPHL 17 from 3 to around 6 every day. And we had Dr. Shock's Horror Theater as well on the weekends. The memories!

We watched WPHL 17 from New Jersey. We had an electronic rotating antenna that we could adjust, and the picture was perfect! Ultraman was my afterschool fix, as well as Johnny Sokko and Space Giants. Add to that the bunch of cartoons-Marine Boy, Speed Racer, Johnny Cypher and the lot. Wee Willie Webber really knew how to throw an after school party!

Thank you so much for posting this series! If you love kaiju this is a MUST. Tsuburaya's team made history with this show. Remember, this was 1966 and was considered state-of-the-art in Japan!
The unbelievable amount of work that went into this show is mind-boggling. Imagine doing a Godzilla movie EVERY WEEK for 36 weeks! Pretend you're in 3rd or 4th grade watching this for the first time and being alternately blown away by the effects or terrified by some of the monsters. This was a family-oriented show but there are some scenes in in various episodes that would f*** you up at bed time. FAN-TASTIC!

I'm only familiar with the original season and characters. Shin Ultraman (2022) hits you right in the nostalgia feels too, with an updated version of the Science Patrol: the SSSP.
