I think SmallCase has made Mr. @warikoo it's Brand Ambassador 😒. Just Promoting their product and losing the motto of the YT channel. Edit: Sir Please teach about resume building, video for freshers, how to crack interviews, Startup Ideas as Small case isn't worthy enough because we can directly buy stocks from Brokerage firm like zerodha, upstox then why to redirect though small case. And I think believe a tip based investing is worst better to understand or read about company in detail and then invest (considering stock purchased as per given on small case, percentage of units/stocks is not a matter of debate) @warikoo And also rebalancing portfolio according to small case (considering quarterly rebalancing) will attract Tax and breaks compounding effect. so better to read about company first and then invest precious money instead taking some companies tip stock

Hi Ankur, great video, absolutely loved it! I beg to differ with your point around smallcase being a great instrument for a new investor. Being an experienced investor and having done sufficient research on this, I urge you to address the following points so that your followers have more visibility - 1. Taxation in smallcase - Taxation is different in equity, debt, gold, ETFs, etc. If not understood earlier, it can create problems at a later stage 2. Brokerage and Other charges in smallcase - Brokers charge their fee in addition to the smallcase fee. Since many smallcases contain 1 or 2 stocks (maybe more), separate charges on each are applicable. I personally believe smallcases are simple on the outside but complicated (maybe expensive too) on the inside, esp. if you take the above into account. Cheers!
This is exactly what I was hoping to find in the video but didn't. Zerodha is charging Rs100/transaction in smallcase, and I have no clue what that means. Does it mean if I go for an SIP in let's say Equity and Gold, will I be charged Rs. 100 every month? Or only the first time when I place it. Similarly no clue about taxes etc.
to add to the above comment, Ankur mentioned personally he doesn't like Mutual funds. But the All Weather Smallcase Infact has shown investing in MFs, Gold ETFs, etc. so i am a bit confused.
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

A great video. Just to add. Smallcase is good and probably better than most mutual funds. But it does have some disadvantages. 1. You have to pay Short Term Capital Gain whenever you rebalance. 2. For Value & Momentum, they rebalance it once every 3 months. I'm not sure if most stocks will have positive momentum for 3 months. 3. Some of the Smallcases which I invested in (which were popular at that time) are not that popular now because of low CAGR. As I realized now it's not that easy to beat an index in the long term. 4. A lot of Smallcases are becoming paid where you have to pay a subscription fee per month to access it. It became similar to a mutual fund.
Thanks Ankur for the video. I have started investing in gold, crypto by watching your videos. Now I will start with smallcase too. Much appreciated. I am thinking of long-term too. "Top 100 stocks" is another smallcase that is good for beginners too. That's my opinion. Can't wait for Monday to start Investing. Seriously never thought I will look forward for a monday😆 Edit: Those who didn't get what I wrote. On weekdays only from (9:00 a.m to 3:15 p.m) we can invest/buy a smallcase
Ankur, never knew about small case until I came across your video. I have been investing in equity for about 4 years now buying individual stocks. I think small case is very interesting and will start investing in small case. Thanks a ton Ankur.
You forgot to mention couple of important aspects 1. Fees incurred during the purchase of smallcases which is Rs 100 2. Rebalancing portfolios everytime (which is nothing apart from selling and buying stocks) attracts capital gains Also the other charges are still involved like STT, etc along with fixed DP charges during sell. I would rather purchase those same stocks from Zerodha and control them.
Another good smallcase I had my eye on was - The Great Indian Middle Class - a great way to invest back in the companies whose products we've all grown up on

The startups which you have created and the decisions which you have taken in as early in your 20's to come back to India, dropping your Ph.D. is something that makes me follow you more because of the decisions and the type of person you are. These videos which you create have really made an impact on me. I started following you a few months ago and the way you connect with people is amazing. 39% return in one year is no biggie. It's the CAGR that gets compounded over several years that creates massive wealth. So if your brother can get a 39% CAGR (which is more than Warren Buffett's CAGR of 19) over a period of say 25-30 years. Then he would inevitably be one of the best investors in the world.
Hello Ankur, Great video! Very clearly articulated! While choosing to invest in a Smallcase, I'd like to ask how to decide whether to go for a SIP or a Lumpsum? I'm sure there is more to this than just getting into the discipline and habit of investing! For the smallcases which have a low minimum value amount, I think SIP would be better (correct me if I'm wrong) but I get confused when its the high minimum value smallcases! Please guide me with this clarification!

Hey Ankur! I am in my final year and my job will start in a few months. Your videos motivated me to learn more about investing! I am really excited to start investing right from my first salary! Thanks a lot! Please make a video on how to plan and invest specifically to buy some stuff like a car or a house.
I have been trying to figure how different investments like mutual funds, stocks, cryptos are taxed. There is a lot of information available on how to invest and not enough on how the returns get taxed. It would be extremely helpful if you could make some videos on taxation:)
If you understand malayalam, watch the video of Sharique Samsudheen regarding tax filing for capital gain and loss.
Reffer channel fin time!
if you sell your mutual funds after an year then long term capital gain which is also exempted if the gains are less than 1 lakh
anyways if sold in lesa than 1 year then stcg @15%.
so it is reasonable to hold for longer duration.
this is for equities, which I think you should be in to maximize gains.
Seconding this. Looking forward to hearing from Ankur on this :)
Exactly bro... I feel the same @warikoo
One more gem Warikoo - I wish to see charges with examples too

Very helpful. I have gradually become a daily user of small case after your videos last few months ago. Zerodhas trust value further adds to it.

In the case of value and momentum smallcase, when we sell the stocks that have stopped rising, would we have to reflect the profit made as capital gains, or does the money remain in the demat/brokerage account ?
What a Finish to the day 😍.. I invested in stock market for the first time today, after watching hell lot of videos and educating myself, was confused with Small case, and here the King is to solve the riddles.. thank you so much ✌️🤗
Yay
why were you confused earlier regarding smallcase

Hello Ankur,
This will be my first comment on any youtube channel(maybe not first, but for me a meaningful one).
I really like what you have done with your life and what you are currently doing with your life.
I really wish to see your videos on a daily basis.
Thank you for all your content and advice which you provide. :)
At last I would like to ask that how is this comes to your mind, like how you choose a topic and then come up with this content?

My brother invested in weight and investment during covid19 era and at end of 2020 he got 39% return
Thanks a lot, Ankur i absolutely had no idea about this product, though I had heard about it, never knew the use case scenario, simply awesome

Hello Ankur,
Great video!
Each point is explained well , And iam clear exactly what does small case means, thanks for it 👍
I was having a hard time understanding smallcase but you made it very simple to understand.. you have earned a new sub..👍
Hi Ankur,
Thanks for the video.
Queries:
1. Dont we have fund managers here too and they try to maintain the ratio, beat index or maintain cagr similar to mutual fund?
2. How about theme/sector based investment:eg: auto, IT
How does small case works on this or self made categories?

I'm having one question here about smallcase. May I eligible to enjoy stock bonus/ stock split/ dividend when I am investing via smallcase?
The perception of income generation is a highly delicate topic, seeking financial freedom and escaping the rat race as stated by Robert Kiyosaki can be achieved through proper financial literacy and expertise, through diversification in currency pairs, digital currencies and stocks running up to in £112,000 annually from compounding profits. Which is thanks to working with a remarkable Fiduciary, Nicolas Benford.

Nice diversification ways, looking at digital currencies and its high potentials plus acquiring stocks. Must have a nice portfolio

Thanks for sharing this video 😊
With respect to analogy of MF expense ratio, isn't this splitting that charges into 2 parts..
1. Smallcase charge
2. Demat account charges (rebalancing will incur transaction charges)
At the end how effective it is ?
Very much because you will eventually beat the market
What are smallcase charges???
@@hrishikesh07m You don't beat the market. Smallcase could never. Only less than 20% MFs have ever been able to beat the market.
No one talks about charges on buying smallcase basket, rebalancing charges or SIP charges
How much is the charge if I'm doing a monthly SIP?
To be honest, the video is incomplete as it doesn't cover the fees involved
