Love the advice in the beginning! In once heard “everything worth doing is worth doing poorly”, so when I’m in a depression phase I sometimes just brush my teeth for 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes and it’s still better than doing nothing
You are a star. Explaining in honest words is great too see. I am on a journey trying a vegan life style at 75 so I find great inspiration as there are days like today that it seems to feel that just getting some reduction on calories is a big step. Keep doing your videos as they are inspiring
Inspiring! You talked about your thought/ action process and YOU DID IT! Congratulations! I will remember this. You give me hope and a map to move forward. Little by little. I can do it, too! Thank you!
Thank you for blessing us with this video even though you were not feeling at your highest. You help many when you show that you are real as we all feel sometimes exhausted at always trying to achieve perfection which is not possible. Your way of life and meal ideas have been an inspiration to me and my family. Love from Canada ❤
Great Chelsea , you did quite a lot despite not feeling great 👍 as you mentioned most probably the shock of your injury has effected you mind set and just being aware of it and still taking little steps in a right direction is what makes a difference and you and family did amazingly today 😍 I have been listening to Dr. Stacy Sims, she has a world of information on women’s health, and she suggest to eat before exercise and negative impacts of prolonged fasting on women’s health and performance. Listen to her if you get a chance and she is based in New Zealand as well 👍
Another easy thing that might work, if you can get it, is all-fruit orange marmalade, preferably without the peel. You can mix it with soya sauce, rice vinegar, powdered ginger, etc. to make a stir-fry sauce. The recipe is definitely in one of Dr Neal Barnard's books but I'm not sure which one. Takes a minute or two. No blender required. I live in Europe and we have a couple of brands here that fit the bill. They are usually sweetened with grape juice or apple juice.
You are so very wise, young lady! I find that if I have a task on my calendar that I don't feel motivated to do, if I commit to getting started on it; it often turns out easier than I anticipated. This discovery is encouraging and I usually go ahead and finish it. I also schedule not more than an hour on any task. Taking a break every hour to have a snack (or watch a Chelsea Mae TH-cam video) works best for me. I try to avoid situations where I have to use a lot of will power because it's exhausting and leads to burnout. I give myself lots of pats on the back and share with others how awesome I am! 😊
Chelsea - I don’t mince garlic anymore since I discovered you get basically the same outcome with mortar and pestle. Just throw your garlic bulbs and chunks of ginger in there and pound it for 30 seconds. So easy and quick!
You're the best Chelsea! I love your videos and appreciate your hard work. Your hair looks really cute short and I liked it at the end when it was flipped to one side. Sorry you weren't feeling well but you would have never known it because you still did a great job.
Thanks so much for sharing with such transparency and vulnerability. I have days like this as well and it's helpful to know that someone as far along as you still have challenging days. Great video and great tips. Thanks again!
I love the way you cook. It’s just like how I cook And it makes your vids feel like home somehow. Thanks for the content! Btw next time you make that orange tofu dish ~ add some zest of your oranges for a bigger punch of orange flavor 🤘🫶🏻
Love that you share the tougher days, I can so much relate. I have been having a cold for 3 weeks now and today when I also had my period and my son of 1,5 is sick I just wanted to eat chocolate all day... We had a small treat after the midday rest my son and me (he found out I had a small piece of chocolate and just ate it all 😂) so I did treat myself and after that I started with dinner with a lot of veggies . So true what you said, listen to your self and give yourself what you carve in a constructive way and then continue one towards your goals! Hope your knee is better!
You don't need protein power, it's exercise that builds up muscles, just eat a variety of plant food and you'll get enough protein. Did your doctor say you need more protein?
As a mom of 2 younger kids, maybe slightly younger than your own… how do you get yours to eat the same thing you are preparing for the adults? Every time I make healthy food they always say “where’s the mac and cheese?” as soon as I set it down in front of them 🤦♀️ haha both of mine do like vegetables and don’t generally like meat products but if I made the same stir fry that you made they would most likely say “no thanks” almost instantly haha Im going semi crazy trying to meal plan, grocery shop and feed multiple people in our household with so many different food preferences while trying to eat cleaner for myself… any suggestions to help get the whole family on the same food plan?
It’s hard. Most nights my kids think the food I make is yuck. They have to eat their veggies, and they don’t have to eat the rest. I tell them constantly this is what we eat for our little animals (feeding good gut microbiome) They don’t have to like it, but the more that’s the only option the more they’re ok with it.

Thank you for your honesty on how we all have days that are harder than others and we are just human. You are awesome and authentic.❤
My sentiments exactly❤
Thank you for sharing! I agree your husband is a good guy! He seems so sweet! :)
I agree with you. :-)
Yes, he seems lovely! ❤
Nick's a keeper!
Yes, exactly. I didn’t feel like making a smoothie so I had my overnight oats. 😊
I loved how you shared the little act of love of your husband leaving the keys in the door for you. What a sweet kind act.❤
Thanks for keeping it real Chels! Hope tomorrow looks brighter!

You made it! Sometimes I feel like Dory "just keep swimming" You have a lovely family and your girls are growing so fast!
🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 I freeze my ginger and use a micro-planer while frozen to grate the ginger. Awesome!
Thanks for sharing your family, meal prep, and tips with us. I like how you keep things real!
The stir fry looks great but to make it more “orangey” try adding grated orange rind 😀

I watching you while doing 200 push ups and 200 squats a day. ❤Thanks Chelsea❤

Love your videos!..
Very inspiring...
Tip..cut your ginger into 1/2 or 1 inch pieces, then use a grater. Much faster than chopping it..
Awww I used to love fat camel when we lived in Whangarei 🥰 I miss it. Love the video as usual and the chats about motivation 😊
Thanks for sharing. Not everyday is a great day and it was nice to see how you navigated that.

“Not served myself much.” lol my normal serving of food at 230lbs. That stir fry looked so good.
Thanks so much for sharing with such transparency and vulnerability. I have days like this as well and it's helpful to know that someone as far along as you still have challenging days. Great video and great tips. Thanks again!
stoked that your podcast will be audible AND visual!! I came late to them but have been binging on them recently 🙂
I LOVE your podcast chels!

Love the info and your life that you share! I especially appreciate your food prep/cooking that you share. Repetition is so helpful! Thx again!
Great advice, hope the knee heals up fast! Sweet mini : )
Didn't know you had a podcast! I love listening to your videos while I'm cooking so this is perfect. About to listen to the first episode on Spotify!
I'm always looking forward to your uploads and watch the videos at least twice. Thank you! ❤
Lean with Plants is THE BEST vegan podcast!🎉🎉

would love to see more food prep!
I love your podcasts, Chelsea!
Ty Chels! I hope that you have a better day tomorrow 😊
Unrelated to food, I love your bobbed hair. Looks VERY good!
Love the podcast! Excited to see it as well.
The new tattoos are super cute! I listen to podcasts on my trainride to work and the LWP pod is always in the rotation.
Really needed this
Have you read ultra processed people? Chris Van Tulleken! Think you would like it :) I listened to it on Spotify! :)
Chelsea. My question to you is how did you not eat that homemade bread!?!?
Thanks Chelsz 💚🦋
I love your podcast!
Love love yr podcasts 😊
Sorry to hear about your knee. Bummer when injuries keep us from doing what we love. Was it a skateboarding injury?
Loving those sleeveless tops you are wearing. Are they all from the same manufacturer or store? Is it something that you can advertise on your video?
Love these, thanks Chelsea! They are so helpful.
What type of oats do you use for your overnight oats?
You don't need protein power, it's exercise that builds up muscles, just eat a variety of plant food and you'll get enough protein. Did your doctor say you need more protein?
Very true. In saying that, for significant muscle growth (aka bulking) like I want to achieve, extra protein makes that process MUCH easier.
Can we use corn starch regularly in our food. Would love for u to do a video on refined flour, oils, corn starch etc
I use corn starch as a thickener because I’m gluten free.
I’m just getting into overnight oats too! Soo good! How many cups of oats do you eat per serving and are they gluten free??
Thanks
Hi! Were you also doing intermittent fasting while on your veg diet?

Thanks!! I love that response 😁
how long do you air fry the potatoes for the chips and what temperature??
It's winter in the UK nearly spring I need to lose those ten pounds 😂
Appreciate you ❤
❤❤❤
How about using orange concentrate for the sauce
What do you do for work ?

Thank you you are lovely. What are those ugly marks on your beautiful arm.
Is this a copycat channel trying to be like Broccoli Mum? It seems like it.
