Yes we milked around 4:30 that afternoon. We were so thankful that the fire didn't do any damage to the parlor. The electric company came out that afternoon and put a new transformer on the pole for us and a electrician came and redid some wiring that need done.
Amazing rebound from the fire, our town council wanted $8,000.00 in permit fees to start our rebuild, but residents protested and we got it down to $2400.00, which was still a huge burden time wise

My grandparents farm house burned in 1938 sad !!
I think a house fire would be a lot worse then a barn fire.
I know what you went through I lost 140 tie stall barn thank goodness for good friends we got all the cows out but 1
