100th Mills Trophy Race - (6/7/2024)

- Hello All,
I recently sailed on a Catalina 42 MkII for the Toledo Yacht Clubs Mills Trophy race that takes place in Lake Erie. It's a 67 nautical mile race from Toledo to Put-in-Bay Island. It was a fun race, but it was blowing at least 25 knots consistently which made for some scary moments (ei; We ran over out spinnaker at about midnight). In any case we had lots of fun and can't wait to go next year.

This crew clearly has no clue what they are doing! It all starts to fall apart when they are hand tailing self tailing winches! Much practice is needed here!
@@SaltySailor5050 This was my first time sailing on this boat as well as the first time this crew was working together. Also the heavier winds caused for some difficult situations. True, we did make some mistakes, but there were other boats out there that had it worse than us, so I think we did okay.
