Although this type of apps are made to help people, they pose a big privacy and security issues as they pretty much see everything that you are doing and collect info about it. I did a little bit of research about this app and it turns out they had a security breach last year, which exposed their users personal info to malicious people

Thank you, Dr. Malik; I have been porn-addicted for 15 years. Now, I am 32 years old, and I have struggled with social life and depression. I never had a real relationship with any woman, and I know any good women dont want a relationship with porn addicts. I have been on the road to recovery and holding myself accountable. This video is beneficial to me. I am sharing this life story so other people can see that they are not alone.

I love porn and I watch it every day, but I also do many more things, I enjoy my sexuality, and life life to the fullest! LIfe is too short for you to allow someone to dictate what you do.

I think porn addiction is just a small part of a much larger issue: our over-reliance on instant gratification to allievate stress, anxiety, or negative thoughts/emotions.
Actively trying to resolve problems in our life is hard because it takes time, requires us to exercise patience, self-control, and perseverance.

What people say about stopping porn will help with anxiety is 100% true too. Im not sure why but after about 3-4 weeks my anxiety is no where near as bad as it was when i was chronically masturbating. I used to get panic attacks when smoking weed and now i dont. All of these "anti-porn" videos are simple "male-shaming" 101. Funny how there are ZERO videos on TH-cam preaching to females about the dangers of using sex toys (vibrators) for masturbation?? Sex toys are incredibly popular today with females.....I don't know an adult woman who doesn't own at least 2 or 3 of them. Men use "porn" for the exact same purpose females use sex toys. Men are visual and women are tactile. But yet, not one of these videos EVER bring up this issue. Why? Simple....because "female" sexual behavior is NEVER to be criticized. Total hypocrisy!!
EVERYTIME someone posts a video on porn use, they should also talk about "sex toys" the EXACT SAME WAY!!!
But they won't....and they never will....because that would be "shaming" females.....and we all know that can't happen. We can shame men and their use of "porn" but we can't ever criticize females using sex toys for the EXACT same reason.

Keep trying man, it's a difficult process and setbacks will probably occur. A lot of people can relate to your story, myself included, as i am someone that has a lot of guilt whenever i search for sexual scenes on TH-cam in the last few years. I am trying to stop it completely, after quite a few setbacks, and i am in a better place now, although wary that i can slip any day, as i have trained my mind for a long time to search these kinds of things. Before that i strugglled with the same guilt when i visited pornographic sites and stayed there for extended periods of time, totally exploded with dopamine, and it's a pretty vicious circle. I was sometimes thinking that it's ok, a lot of people do it, but i got used to watching other people have sex so much, that trying to meet someone that i care about and have an intimate relationship with them has become an unattainable goal for the time being. As a result, a feeling of worthlessness pretty often reemerges, as i have not been in a relationship for more than 8 years now, and it was a relationship that i made mistakes and hurt someone that didn' t deserve it. So lots of guilt, compounded with psychological issues made the vicious circle of seeking pornographic and now sexual material become a reality. I am sorry for the length of my reply, i did not mean to talk about myself so much. I send you all my heartfelt wishes that you have a life fulfilling and prosperous, with good and loving people around you. 🙏♥️

It is so hard, I've been fighting this since I was 16, now I'm 20. The bad thing is that I didn't realize it was becoming an addiction, I thought it was just my desire for women and that it was normal for my age.
What makes everything harder is that I am such a lonely guy, I really do not have friends in real life, I'm always feeling numb, depressed, and alone. So, from where will my motivation come from? I really wanted to have real relationships with people, but when I see they don't like my companion, I fall once more into the abyss of fake love. It's all about a fantasy, and my dream of being loved by a woman or something. I will keep fighting...

I used to have those problems a long time ago. It's easy to blame porn and make it a scapegoat in that situation. Especially if you come from a religious cult background with jaded views on sex. I'm not saying porn is good, but in my experience those symptoms were caused by things like a lack of exercise, bad sleep (insomnia), anxiety/depression from past traumas and maybe even unwarranted guilt.
I would say if you want to quit porn, forget about quitting porn. Focus on and do the hard work of improving the rest of your life and quitting porn will naturally follow.

Hey guys I don't usually comment but I'd like to share my story. I am 15 working through this addiction. I was introduced to porn at age 12 because of an ad that appeared while I was watching a show that was supposed to be for kids. I feel it is ridiculous that this addiction can affect people around my age. Teens are supposed to be working through school, making new connections, and finding oneself. For this problem to be toppled on to that is insanity . I find some people actually get into porn on purpose because it is so normalized now, without realizing the affects of it. I tried many ways of trying to get rid of this and one day I thought I would try praying to God. I feel like God has been showing me the answers and recently I started reading the Bible. I pray for anyone who's been going through and I wish all the best for you

Thank you for your hard work. I think the problem is that we live in a sexualised society now compared to before and it is not helping.
The trouble is that banning pornography (I know its not the subject of this video) is not as simple as it sounds as there is a bigger market for it then before.
I'll admit did watch porn before and I used to enjoy it but that was only like once a week sort of thing. However there was a period of time when I didn't watch porn for nearly two years until the covid crisis hit and I started watching porn on a rare basis usually lasting two hours or more.
No one really mentions this but I notice a trend when TV shows that contain sex and nudity can also lead to people watch pornography as well. The thing with mainstream tv, netflix, disney+ shows (that contain sex and nudity like sex/life and Pam and Tommy), the choice of nudity is laughable and ridiculous as they tend show female upper nudity but not female genitals while they show male penis.

Same. But it’s curable fellas. Stay off of porn and masturbation for 60-90 days and ur brain will heal again. It’s hard but it can be done with time and discipline

The best way to avoid this addiction is to indulge one self in busy tasks. There is no another alternative to it.

Another method (which imo is easiest way to overcome)is by experiment yourself by trying to see what it's like to masterbate without porn. During those days you'll gradually naturally not only stop watching porn, but it's far easier to resist the urge as you naturally have gotten bored with masturbating without the use of pornography, so you instead to masturbating as a total whole.

I don't know but really I didn't stop watching porn for a period of time I would then stop watching all this for some months or weeks, later I would go back to it. It started to become a problem when I think I would not watch it but I ended up watching. It became so that oh I am not watching these stuff and then later in the day the urges got a hold and I did watch it.
I wanted to fix my attention span or stop using that much of my electronics but stopping this addiction was the first thing to do.
After procrastinating for probably seven years or so, I am gonna stop this addiction. I give myself a challenge to stop it and get normal without watching all this. A great idea is just to keep track of the dates like with duolingo or other games where having a streak makes you more motivated to continue learning or playing that game for some time.
Thanks a lot for this video, it is very motivating with simple tips and only 6 minutes...

I’ve quit porn but I haven’t been able to quit the sexual fantasies that are porn-related or porn-influenced.
So honestly it’s more than just quitting a behavior. It’s also about finding something to replace it that is hopefully in the same vein, unless you’re looking to be a celibate monk.

I've always wondered about the impact of pornography upon the brain and the mind. I believe there are some things that you just can't un-see after you have seen them. I personally avoid like-the-plague anything that I think is un-reversible or difficult to reverse. Things like cigarettes and tatoos are high on my list of things to avoid and loathe, and I don't understand people who wade into these types of things so blissfully or at least whithout any circumspection. Pornography is one of these types of things for me. I'm not sure what impact it has on the mind, but I suspect it has one. I try to maintain my autonomy - free will - control of local motion. Maybe this kind of approach might help others. Its about freedom. Pulling one's self away from orbiting one planet so one can explore others as one chooses.

I quit porn a year ago and my story is funny 😂
I was fed up with the fact that nowadays interracial porn means a white women and black men. Whenever I used to search porn I always got some interracial porn with the same combination 😂. I found it slowly disgusting. Whenever I found this kind of category I immediately stopped continuing to watch more. Suddenly I stopped searching porn on the internet 😂. But now I am very thankful that in an awkward way I stopped watching porn. And now I am having a very happy and healthy life.😊
