I find your videos very informative. I have a question, I'm a healthy guy, but six years ago i stopped feeling the intense pleasure associated with orgasms. I do ejaculate without trouble but their is no pleasure with it. I have never had sex with anyone so Im positive I dont have any stds. I talked to my doctor about it and he didnt care and had no interest in figuring out why this happened. Ive been reaching out to doctors on youtube trying to find an answer, If you have any ideas whats wrong with me I would love to know, Thank you.
I am practicing semen retention. For 3 months now. Please conduct a research on Indian Brahamachary method of living. Indian semen retention means no ejaculation which is no edging no self stimulation what so ever. I have felt the difference. It helps in dopamine detox. 7 days might be torturous but post that, it also has material difference: confidence, lift heavier weights at the gym, focused, and lot more. When you say these findings are not yet backed by modern science, I feel awkward why there is little to no study done on the same. Try it on for 14, 21, 28 56 and 84 days on different ethnicity (not race). Read some Indian literature. Who am I to say so? One who is experiencing the benefits manifest.

@@workingshlub8861 It sounds like every man should release sometime soon before the wedding, not only to relieve stress, but to also have that clarity, like imagine, is she going to become a nag after marriage? me and my wife share our porn watching sometimes. it can really intensify a sexual experience. we understand each other better, and don't judge each other's tastes. we have respectful boundaries, and no urge to fulfill fantasies by cheating.

To people, who say this is a placebo after they tried it: Congratulations, you probably weren't really addicted to begin with. Stopping alcohol consumption is no big deal for the average Joe but it will change the life of any alcoholic. My personal experience has been too overwhelming for it to be a placebo. Matter of fact, I have been trying to combat this addiction for a long time and the fact that I have failed numerous times is reason enough to continue trying.

@Lucas McGuire who cares even if it is a placebo? thats the amazing thing about the human mind. there are still benefits regardless. dont get too caught up on that word brother
I think the biggest issue with nofap and NNN is that there is not nearly enough data on the subject either way. Personally I've had very interesting experiences with nofap and based on those experiences would recommend it to anyone. Obviously this is anecdotal evidence and may not be the same for everyone but I've tried and for me it works. The first week is always the toughest but once you get past that the mental clarity starts to set in. To be clear, nofap doesn't mean no ejaculating, it just means no masturbating to porn. The whole purpose of nofap is to redirect our sexual efforts towards engaging with another human being instead of an image on the screen.
I feel like NNN is not for any health benefits or mental clarity, I know my mental clarity has suffered, but rather as a challenge to see if you're strong enough to ignore a primal urge with the solution strapped on to yourself. It was surprisingly difficult.
But if you want to do nofap it will be better with exercising, controlling your lust were actually powerful, tho you will have sexual frustration and angry man without exercising
Its not about the literal scientific effects from NNN. Its about proving to yourself you have the self control to abstain from your own instincts, proving your free will, and trying to focus on something other than your biological instincts.
Exactly. It's also about avoiding an over-sexualized lifestyle, certain online addictions and ultimately self-control and morality. It's a kind of philosophical act of discipline against modern bodily hedonism. But strawman video would never adress any of that.
It's about not being able to get laid. If all you have in your life is masturbation, go for it. I refuse to believe any man with access to regulat pussy is telling their women "no"
It’s November 28 and I’m still going strong. I failed on the 20th last year and I promised myself to get through the whole month this year. 2 days left to go!
I think NNN is more on the art and reassurance knowing that as animalistic of an urge as it is we are able to control it… therefore we can appreciate ourselves more.
@@ink8742 I don’t really decorate myself with NNN but I do appreciate the principles behind it, you could say I only focus on the lord rather than the gameplay.
The issue is not masturbation it’s porn. The surge in dopamine from porn is similar to hard drugs. After daily porn masturbation for decades our baseline level of dopamine drops significantly. Because of this, we begin to loose motivation and drive. After giving up porn, we will notice that we won’t want to masturbate everyday and our baseline levels of dopamine will return to normal. Giving us our much needed drive and motivation to live a healthy life.
I passed NNN and I saw fairly large differences in my daily life. Confidence feels higher, I'm mentally more engaged in whatever I'm doing. Some say it's placebo but every-time I abstain I feel these benefits. Even if you don't get the benefits I would recommend doing it anyways! Self discipline is definitely something gained out of abstaining.
That’s totally placebo. You believe that’s helping so you truly feel like it’s helping you. You do what you want, there’s no cops to fine you if you do or if you dont. There’s no point to stop because masturbation doesnt harm you. I would recommend people to simply do what they want.
I can honestly say...The thought of doing this (NNN) has NEVER SERIOUSLY crossed my mind. I don't care what month it is. I don't care what the cause is. If I have a round in the chamber...we're going to the range!
I absolutely wish ALL doctors would use common understandable language like Dr. Malik. I feel many patients are uncomfortable discussing issues because they feel intimidated if they don't understand the technical medical jargon or terminology used by doctors so they don't ask the right questions or give the right answers when having a conversation with their doctors. Here I am 61 years old and only recently learned that a fractured bone was a broken bone, because I always thought fractured meant it was a small crack and not broken completely into two pieces. Dr. Malik is one of my favorite doctor resources on the internet because she understands half the battle of being a good doctor is being able to communicate and being understood. Awesome video, I have already sent it to several of my guy friends as I am sure they too could benefit from this information. Thank you Dr. Malik.
She uses the word "nut" which seems to be a technical term for ejaculation. I started watching because I eat a lot of nuts and wanted to know if I should change my diet. Eventually I did a dictionary look up on "nut." Don't know why she didn't use the normal word.
I'm just so glad that almost everybody agrees to take one month out of their life to stop an addiction so wide as porn, wish we had stuff like this for smoking or something
For me personally no nut november taught me that I have a severe porn addiction. I start now without watching pornography. But I must say quitting smoking was actually easier for me than skipping porn. I struggled with quitting both at the same time and just kept not smoking and reduced (but no quit) my porn consumption. My first goal is to complete my first three smokefree Months and than go naFap. I think its more manageable. What do you guys think?
I'm not surprised to come across someone else who is in the exact situation as me. The smoking and porn are so tied together than quitting one quits the other and that is what makes it so hard. We're fighting two demons at once without any training. Seems the best course of action is to take small steps and not get discouraged when there's a relapse. Accept that it's gonna happen and actually plan and allow for it then gradually move that post further back. Set a time when you're going to indulge and cheat. A few days in the future at first and then a few weeks a few months etc. Plan those relapses so you can stay in control of them. It's gonna happen, might as well be when you decide. And stick to it. I've been doing this with my diet and I'm at the point that I feel physically ill when I overdo the carbs and sugar. Last Saturday, my scheduled porn night, I felt uncomfortably out of breath and the cigarettes tasted awful and I think it's because I've been restricting to only one during week nights. My body is naturally rejecting the toxins.
I can't say that I've ever or will ever smoke but I definitely faced a similar addiction for what seems like several years now that got so bad to the point where it felt like I was dieing inside my own mind. Now what saved me from this is going to sound dumb to some but it was an anime episode. It was just someone talking for 15 minutes that finally gave me some footing to push back against my problem. Course I did have some slips but then I realized perhaps if I want to be fair about a change in a situation then maybe instead of getting rid of it all together then to just reduce how often it happens. Currently I only indulge once every three weeks or so. But it's still nice to know about others going through a similar problem.
@Ty Bey it was in Re:zero season one where Rem basically starts giving a speech that can be summed up as " the person I feel in love with would never back down from a challenge, I want everything you want so very much but if you were to give up now if we were to run now then you wouldn't be that same person and I couldn't except that offer."
@@silvalinan4077 i deeply feel you. My anti-smoking streak reaches now the 36th day. And I‘m very committed to continue. Even got a mantra. But i like the idea of controlling the relapse. Thank you for your time and answer.
I think the main issue is lack of self-control. Abstinence from occasional masturbating may not have the ‘mind-blowing’ affect many people claim it does, but the truth is that the vast majority of men who struggle with masturbating struggle with the deeper issue within themselves which is addiction to the dopamine and the feeling they get once they ejaculate. Addiction is harmful regardless of what you’re addicted to, and gaining control of one’s self and one’s mind and emotions is, in my opinion, the main goal. EDIT: added ‘lack of’.

As a man, I think I speak for many when I say we don't participate in No Nut November, or NNN, because we read in some men's magazine that it's good for us. I'm pretty sure a lot of us are already aware participation in NNN holds no real medical benefits. We do it because we are men. Great video. It's nice to hear an expert say everything I've learned over a 2+ year abstinence from porn. The inspiring thing about NNN is the amount of young people it gets each year to question their reliance or porn and the internet for mental comfort, relief, and stress reduction. Being porn free for more than two years now has really restored my sexual health in relationships and with myself. I did start with a long period of abstinence from masturbation (about a year), but I've reincorporated that and feeling better than I have ever felt about my relationship with my body. NNN helps people see this and realize that, as stated, masturbation can be a healthy thing, and it's the porn to which we have associated it that is the real, serious problem.
Before I met my husband he was doing that nofap for a year or so amd he was in an excellent mental state. Since he stopped that, his mentality has weakened and feels that because of excessive sex he's losing the passion for sex. Should I encourage him to.nofap again?

Ejaculation and porn addiction are two different things. Addiction is never a good thing. Having the discipline to overcome an addiction is mentally beneficial. Physiologically though, semen retention and not ejaculating can’t be beneficial for the body. The male reproduction glands are like any other organ. If you don’t use it, it loses its strength and function. Great video Dr. Malik!
Dr Malik missed one point. If you keep yourself physically active. Intense weight training, kegels combine with stretching and yoga. You are going to be a beast on another level. Try ejaculating before any exercise and your performance will drop. The main purpose of semen retention is to use your seed either for procreation or for your purpose.

Why aren't there more studies conducted on this? Although it sounds silly, it's a very serious Men's health and wellbeing subject. Too much pornography and masturbation can be detrimental to a man's motivation and make them lethargic, affecting their lifestyle and relationships. Personally I can't do NNN any longer than a few days because the hormones disrupt my quality of sleep which has a negative affect. My general rule of thumb is to not fap on a workday day until post workout, or my energy levels and motivation can be slowed down during the workout.

After watching this video, I couldn’t help but think about the whole No Nut November phenomenon and whether it really holds any weight from a scientific standpoint. The idea of abstaining from something so natural, like masturbation, for an entire month seems a little counterintuitive, especially when you break down the facts presented here. The urologist's explanation about the effects of abstinence on semen production and testosterone levels was interesting. On one hand, it’s clear that there are some physiological responses to not releasing semen for a while, like temporary increases in testosterone or changes in seminal fluid composition. But on the other hand, the notion that abstaining for extended periods leads to any sort of major long-term health benefit seems a bit overblown. What really stood out to me is how some of these challenges, like 'No Nut November,' often get wrapped up in misconceptions and cultural stigmas around sexuality and self-control. The way some people talk about it, you’d think abstinence was the ultimate solution to achieving 'manliness' or 'discipline,' but as the urologist pointed out, there’s no real evidence to suggest that prolonged celibacy or restraint results in anything more than temporary physiological effects. For me, it’s also worth questioning the idea that there’s something inherently wrong or unhealthy about sexual release. The science shows that it’s pretty natural and healthy to engage in it regularly, so framing it as something that should be avoided or controlled for some kind of moral or physical benefit just doesn’t make sense. In the end, personal choice matters more than a collective challenge based on misconceptions about the body. It was an informative video, but I think it also raises more questions than answers. It’s all about balance, as with most things, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to these kinds of decisions. If anything, we should be more focused on being informed, questioning these cultural trends, and prioritizing our mental and physical well-being over arbitrary goals.
There's a lot of different opinion on this stuff. I personally feel that this stuff should be done in moderation at the end of the day. If you're going to masturbate just do it a few times a week, and do it without porn. I personally feel like I have more energy for my workouts, and sleep better when retaining for a little while. I think a lot of this stuff is hyped up anyways, but if you're taking steps to improve yourself via working out/diet, and putting in extra hours at work etc etc and trying to form meaningful relationships then that's the most important thing. So I feel moderation is the best route to take, that way you're not over doing it, yet you're not robbing yourself of your natural drive to ejaculate every now and then.
As some one who had abstained for over two years I do think there is a correlation with physical energy/ testosterone the longer I went the more I understand why coaches told athletes to abstain before a match

its been 4 months and honestly for me i been getting more attractive to women then ever before i can feel my levels of energy going up my confidence is better i feel more mature, more focused on myself
At 31 I can honestly say there is a huge difference in the way I feel when abstaining from specifically masturbating vs doing it even every few days. When I do it, I feel less anxiety and worry less about women problems. But the the cost is I have less motivation to do things, intrusive thoughts, and my eye contact and confidence suffers. Also without fail, if I do it right before I go to bed I wake up in a bad mood with traces of negative thoughts. When I abstain I have more overall confidence and ideas, but the trade off is my emotions feel much stronger and I'm more prone to over thinking or getting in my feelings. Still haven't figured out the exact right balance but I've at least Come To know myself lol Sorry had to do it
Don't be sorry these asshats think they're qualified to tell us how we feel it's no different than when women try to take care of themselves and men behave dismissively of it. Just do you and continue to do what you think is best for yourself. I support you man.
I'm 28. Dude finding that balance. That's exactly what I'm trying to find. Once I let too much go, I definitely get a lot of anxiety, faster heart rate, and I find myself using more energy to speak (I don't think I've seen anyone with that problem btw).
It is exactly what also happens to me. I'm single since like 8-9 years and if I don't fap at least one or twice a week I become too much cranky. I have the feeling I would be more incline to make a mistake and get stuck in a relationship I don't want to just because I want sex with her. It's like I would be in a position to get manipulated.
@@chriscarlone527 you didnt need to do that. Men dont care about women to that degree. If she got boobs and cakes is most of what we care about. second is how she carries herself mentally. thats it
I feel like moderation is the key. If abstinence increases sensitivity to dopamine( which explains the test boost after abstinence), then doing it too often might cause a reduction in Dopamine receptor activity( emphasis on might.) If this is the case, this reduction in the dopamine receptor might lead to more prolactin production, thus reducing testosterone. Low dopamine can screw with alot of body functions. I don't think giving it up is good either. I just don't know of any bodily function that you can do to an infinitely high frequency without consequences. Eating is healthy, but we can take it to an unhealthy place.
Breathing. I've been breathing every second of my life and there has been no adverse consequences. Also I dont think frequency is the right word. You can eat a lot, but in reality its the caloric quantity that impacts your body. You'd be surprised how much low calorie food can exist. You could find something to fill you up for less than a thousand calories and it'll have th opposite effect. Losing too much weight. I think there are a lot of factors at play in reality. For masturbation it could be, rather than frequency, the recovery time in-between. How long the act takes.. the quality of it. There could even be genetic factors at play.
@@An.Unsought.Thought you can hyperventilate. As far as eating, either with calorie dense foods or low calorie high volume foods, if you shove enough food down, it will have adverse consequences. From stomach and digestive problems to weight gain.

Semen Retention is like doing a dopamine cleanse. Yes an orgasm is a an amazing feeling but when we delay that reward we can achieve a lot more and still enjoy that same feeling later down the line. Yes it is all in our head, the affects of retaining this vital fluid. However the benefits are not just in our head, benefits like growth within & spiritual bliss due to discipline and will power.
You guys are dumb. Semen retention please, have you tried not shitting your pants after eating a bean burrito, laxatives, and a fuck ton of ice cream. I’ve done this ritual for three years and have become a super saiyan god. This is honestly the best way to develop discipline in my opinion.
As a single guy, I always figured I had a porn addiction until I got a girlfriend who let me have sex. Suddenly I no longer had an interest in porn because I would much rather get my rocks off with my real life woman. When that relationship ended I went back to porn. So if you're single and watching porn, it's not the end of the world. Just make sure when you do find a sexual partner that they replace the porn watching. Oh yeah, and maybe hold on to them because going back to porn sucks!
Nah. You need time for yourself sometimes. If you SO guilts you into stopping porn that's what I call a red flag. I bet next thing will be going to the toilet together to crap.
@@charginginprogresss Why are you switching it up to guilting and red flags? If you have such a good sexual relationship with a woman that you never even think about wanting to watch others fuck, then that's very positive and you should absolutely do everything to keep it that way.

I did a 12 page research essay on P and P addiction a few years back. It's pretty shocking but we really don't (or at least didn't) know what the effects of P are. Online, endless, and endless varieties of P is a very new thing. That being said, plenty of possible links to negative outcomes were being theorized, and some had corroborating evidence. There are also plenty of testimonials, the volume of which I think give it some credibility.
The average Joe watches 70 minutes of porn weekly(based on self reports, which are obviously biased toward the lower end). Those 70 minutes are usually divided in a bunch of videos varying in content from the most "vanilla" to the most extreme. So, yeah, the average person already has and consumes Terabytes of porn. If you are a regular porn user you are already at the addiction point. There is no healthy relationship between a man and a porn site, there can't be by the nature of the business, just like there is no healthy relationship between a chronic prostitute client and the prostitute. There can be a healthy relationship between a man and his own body and his own pleasure. NNN is not about quitting masturbation, it's about quitting porn, which is something everyone should be trying.
@@SandhillScapegoat I came to that same conclusion essentially. I argued that P is a major public health risk, considering how pervasive and relatively new it is, as well as how little definite research there was at the time.

We have the technology to ensure that if not all at least most of the users of porn websites are not underage, yet we reuse to use it under stupid premises such as "It won't stop ALL children" and "It will hurt people in the Industry". The reality is, a higher and higher source of revenue for porn sites comes from underage children aged 9-17, and that is money that goes to the big businesses and producers and it will still not touch the pockets of your run-of-the-mill exploited actors. The second you start thinking and talking about pornography out loud, you realize that it's all cons, I can't find a single pro. Even as a sporadic consumer you should be able to see it.

Sober October mr spider
You commers are weird and clearly not addicted to anything

No nut November cleanses porn addiction so you can get addicted again
I think the main issue is lack of self-control. Abstinence from occasional masturbating may not have the ‘mind-blowing’ affect many people claim it does, but the truth is that the vast majority of men who struggle with masturbating struggle with the deeper issue within themselves which is addiction to the dopamine and the feeling they get once they ejaculate. Addiction is harmful regardless of what you’re addicted to, and gaining control of one’s self and one’s mind and emotions is, in my opinion, the main goal.
EDIT: added ‘lack of’.
Great input this is how I feel too!

Lost shadows left behind

Dancing through the graves of those who stand at my feet
Dreams of the black throne I keep on repeat
A derelict of dark, summoned from the ashes
The puppet master congregates all the masses
Pulling strings, twisting minds as blades hit
You want this power? Then come try and take it
Beyond the tree, fire burns
Secret love, bloodline yearns
Dark minds embrace, crimson joy
Does your dim heart heal or destroy?
Bury the light deep within
Cast aside, there's no coming home

As a man, I think I speak for many when I say we don't participate in No Nut November, or NNN, because we read in some men's magazine that it's good for us. I'm pretty sure a lot of us are already aware participation in NNN holds no real medical benefits.

Life is all about balance and moderation. Even so called healthy habits can have negative consequences when overindulged upon.
As some one who had abstained for over two years I do think there is a correlation with physical energy/ testosterone the longer I went the more I understand why coaches told athletes to abstain before a match

It is exactly what also happens to me. I'm single since like 8-9 years and if I don't fap at least one or twice a week I become too much cranky. i fele huge diference aswell. shit tons of energy and focus.
I feel like moderation is the key. If abstinence increases sensitivity to dopamine( which explains the test boost after abstinence), then doing it too often might cause a reduction in Dopamine receptor activity( emphasis on might.)
If this is the case, this reduction in the dopamine receptor might lead to more prolactin production, thus reducing testosterone.

Always interesting, always learning new things about every topic she talks about! I love this woman!

@@MClapYourHands Especially for children.
My wife gets me everyday doc. She keeps me going.
Good thing about being a man is you don’t need to rely on studies to understand being a man. Stay strong brothers retain and gain. Take weeks off often ignore women for periods of time train, read, develop great things.
poor thing...

Well if that was the case then this whole video and this whole topic wouldn’t exist and this comment section wouldn’t have people debating on this

For me semen retention /nofap has cleared my skin and gave me all kinds of benefits it's crazy I used to have bad acne but soon as I stopped fapping my skin cleared up I felt more energised and have more of a connection with people it's crazy.
I know right? They talk a lot about what proteins, minerals, vitamins, etc semen contains, also how good is it for the skin when applied on, but they forget to mention this sustain isn't created out of nowhere, it's all what a man loses
@@rhqqn446fjnnbbc Semen has very little vitamins and proteins. Almost nothing compared to what you get from food.
It's placebo
How did you sign up to those? I need these links to share to my friends and also beneficiary to me

Grandpap always said, "if you don't use it, you lose it."
Lol 😂😆
Wise words from grandpa
How come i never lost it then?
@@Adrenalean767 that just means you still have a chance before you do lose it. Good luck buddy.
Lose what bro? Lol. You mean if you use it you lose it.
Dr. Malik not only are you knowledgeable but extremely attractive. Keep up the posts and thank you.
the point isnt science , its a mental challenge to prove to yourself that you are capable of saying no to your urges
I give anyone who beats NNN credit. Sexual pleasure can be an addiction, and y’all could be doing so much better with your lives. There’s no way it can be healthy for you if you do it on the daily
