Man I just started watchin dudes content about 2 weeks ago on tiktok he is the snake head king. Only 2 other dudes I know that fish specifically for snakeheads.
Some of the best fishing in my opinion is in creeks. Love taking the kayak out on creeks and catching small mouth and carp.

Carls and Mystery Tackle Box have been apart of the channel since I can remember, I am pretty sure I actually remember the first introductions, been followin you way to long LOL feels like 7 years now, and no plans on stopping! Just hope Fish and Game don't go all power trip and fine you for releasing the snakeheads.... shouldnt be forced to kill if you don't want to, but in my state they would use this video as evidence for the ticket :(
You only have to kill it if you are transporting it. You can release but only the water it came out of.
The smally you caught at 6 mins is the perfect size to eat. The smaller just legal ones taste the best. Ik, ik, you dont like fish. But fresh beer batter smally is fantastic. Especially while ur out camping, etc.
There is a small pond by there that has a couple 10lb plus snakehead in it that I can’t ever catch

I know that area very well. Since they took down the dam that was downstream, I have caught striped bass and white perch along there with smallmouth, rock bass, redbreast and the occasional largemouth.

@@joshchristian8838 I've only seen 2 people catch crappie out of that stretch of the river in over 14 years of fishing it. I would recommend hitting Liberty reservoir, Loch Raven , the lower Gunpowder or Triadelphia if you're looking for crappie.
Just moved to Maryland and I’m about 25 minutes from Lock Raven, I fished it for the first time I ended up with a 28 lb bag I have pics to prove it haha, it’s been one of my dream lakes since I first subbed to you back in 2018. Maybe I will see ya down there for a little 1v1 thanks for all your videos and the time you put in Mike.

Friend caught a 7. 6 pound small mouth. Quebec small mouth are bigger than largie in region. Lake record is 8,9 lb for smallie and 9 lb for largie.

that snakehead at the end looks like someone hit it with a hammer and it didn't die, maybe got away from them. they're very hard to kill, like a catfish. I eat them, very tastey but if I'm not keeping them I release them also. most ppl try to kill them

i do something similar for smallmouth in creeks here. i toss a silver/blue back husky jerk through the rapids and i get more bites than anything. not always huge fish but nearly nonstop action

I fish a small creek similar in size to the one you fish and i once caught a 4 and quarter pound smallmouth bass. These small rivers/creeks produce lots of fish!
