What do you guys think of these all in strategies?
It's definitely one of the strategies of all time!
Hera you know the way you put video styles where it is you vs a few beginners, please consider doing the same videos except having 30 minutes peace time. Would actually like to see you in an all out fuck fest of dozens of castles and big battles rather than the top tier rush stuff micro play. Would be just an interesting side style content for down the line. Otherwise this video is top :)

It would be more entertaining for you to meet them directly, all in vs all in. With the Saracens market, it would have been great.
absolutely despise it. id rather be lamed and persian douched on 4 lakes while playing huns, then playing against stupid shit like 20 pop fast castle knight siege.
Watched T90's video earlier about this strategy and he lost to this all in, 11. When the critical mass of scorpions is reached it seems hard to stop even with scouts. When I watched, I was like the counter to this seems to be tower his wood line and harass him with a few archers and go into mass bloodlines scouts. T90 mentioned some of this after but I did think of some ideas myself. Hera just does it in real time while playing and talking to his chat. He's a top level pro for a reason.
There is also a huge difference in APM and multi-tasking ability too. Hera is casually harassing two areas at once with a few archers while dodging scorpion shots and later defending at home, dodging scorpion shots with his villagers while continuing to harass and pick off scorpions at the enemy base. I'm 1500 and for me at least, I can't even consistently dodge 2 scorpions in one place while doing nothing else.
@@YuhuanXie I hear 1.5k do less micro than people at like 1-1.2k, is that true?
@@thefire-nanceguy4440 Definitely not true. It's the same with Chess, Age of Empires, or any other game-- in general players at higher elos are better at every stage of the game. In this case eco/macro, micro, strategy, game sense, etc... Maybe some 1.1k players have better micro than the average 1.5k but that's because they are solely focused on micro and their eco is trash while the 1.5k is microing a bit and macroing fine behind.
Hoang/Ozone/any other super fast 2.3k+ will have better macro than any 1.7k, and a really slow player like Jon Slow/Daut/etc... will have way better micro than a player 400 elo below them. Just how the game works.
@@thefire-nanceguy4440 probably yes, a lot of people break past 1k learning to do archer builds and on my friend's account that I got up to 1.4k randoming with 80% win rate I noticed I'd often slightly lose archer vs archer micro early on but just run over the 1 to 1.2ks with a bunch of scouts or something a few minutes later because their game is usually really shaky past 20 mins.
I am generally a very macro focused and defensive player though, I have really low APM/reaction times and have my lowest winrate from min 20-30 mostly dying to castle age pressure (it's gone up a lot since I practice monk/siege defense) with a much higher winrate past min 40 since my style is mostly influenced from Viper; castles on hills, relic control, walls, attrition.
@@boatman2801 agree, used to play competitive chess, elo is something like a 2x difference in strength every 120 points. A difference of 4x+ (just 240 elo) in playing strength is almost certainly equal or better than the weaker player in almost everything. With the exception being 'opening prep' since you can get pretty far in just doing very well prepped cheesy openings in strategy games but at some point you hit a wall and need to gradually learn the rest of the game.
I got to 1.5k with a 60% win rate 1 tricking Chinese over 6 months. Then I started randoming and dropped to 1.2k and am back to 1.5k but am much more well rounded and knowledgeable about the game. Was on a friend's account during vacation and got up to 1.4k on that one with 80% win rate randoming.
Props to YouPudding for bringing those ingenious strategies to the pro scene! They help keep the game feeling fresh and bring life to the community. Really fond of them. GG
Yeah T90 said that he was about 2k3 even before he started the Sicilian strategy, so a really good player
That was super sick micro. Countering this all in looks easy when you get that much value from every single unit!
I think it would be more powerful with knights, monks and scorps, but then it would 100% be a hoang push

Yeah probably worth, just didnt consider it this game since i was more focused on what he was going for

compared to sicilians this is also weaker because you dont get the donjon to help defend your eco

@@Arsenikos1329 not sure it will be. Hoang wouldnt be able to do much in castle I wouldnt think due to how quickly youpudding reaches it
Hoang is strong player, pudding average... So unless it takes you of guard.. pudding strategies will never work vs top players (except the 1st time he pulls it out )

@@ignaciocalvo1856 I wouldn't call 2k+ players "average" per se, but Hoang does have more practice under his belt with his signature strat. YouPudding on the other hand is more innovative, and probably a better improviser as such. I hope they meet on the ladder soon, and someone like T90 covers it. It could go either way I think.
If a pro did this with back wood and gold… maybe it has potential.
With all these meme cheese strats recently, its a breath of fresh air to see solid standard play still come out on top
@@Quin-du6gl It wasnt a tower rush, it was just one tower. Regardless, both are legit strats and have even been meta at some point. Vivi reached KOTD 2 semifinals and in 80-90% of his games there were forward towers involved.

Ok, so the counter to this strategy is god-tier fuedal micro with 3-4 control groups and dodging like 80% of all scorp shots while having a perfect eco at home. Seems legit :D

Hey @hera! Love your content. Just curious, why do you need duplicate accounts for ranked play? Surely you will still jump to the top of the ladder. Seems like it will ruin some games for others on the way up. For example, as a 1500, if I was playing you, it would be a waste of time for both of us.
I have 2 accounts that are rank 1 and rank 5-15. Both of these are very high elo accounts. Reason is my rank 1 account is way too high elo usually and takes forever to get games, even vs other pros

I realize he is at the limit, but it looks pretty easy to full wall there no? Full wall with one or two scorps on defense seems pretty strong.
How do you defend this if you’re Mayans or other meso civs, without scouts?
hmm archers and tower into faster castle age eagles maybe? Its possible to get castle age maybe 4-5 mins later than him, try to stall until u get eagles then u shud win for sure
I’m cooking up my own strategy called the ‘Teutonic Douche’. So far it’s not working out very well, but it just needs a little fine-tuning.
Since the big patch they released it hasn't been the same without the extra range
@hera actually i tested it his rush is better with dravidians imo "for the 400 wood and also the siege is still cheaper in wood too" dravidians will OPEN with 2 siege workshops and 4-8 scoprs when you hardly have a few archers.
Celts felt fine too, celts 15% wood does not get you 400 wood in 10-15 mins though.
But i also found out that one can also sell 100 stone and stone wall one position with the other 100 with it so for example, he could make it so that you cannot damage his gold ever and then he can focus defending his wood only.
Also, you did not win with feudal rush, you won by being skilled with micro tbh. Most players cannot replicate what you did there. 3 + grps of archers getting microed while doing everything else.
I personally wished the game moved faster. I used to play on fast against the computers and normal sometimes is so slow. And casual is like. H to ell no

This is just a hoang strat...but it is a bit different than hoang in how to get to castle age..
This is even less eco than hoang but the castle age is even faster, and push is weaker than Hoang.
How to stop such all-in? 1 - be 500 elo higher

Oh I WONDERED why I was seeing all these dumb Sicilians rushes on ladder now. At my elo (1100) they don't work though, execution too crap, you just go castle and win.
they're low elo for a reason 11, thats why you might see the same players doing the same strategy for awhile... to perfect it. I've got it down to 14:35 fc. But then the first couple of games you play on a new day you're not as polished lol. It's a hard strategy to master as its very micro intensive and at the same time you have to think about a few things during inconvenient micro periods to prevent walking into tc lol
It's very healthy for the game until it's the new Hoang and all pros lose their minds :D
