Have never been to Northumberland in my life and this has certainly wetted my appetite! Thank you for a very detailed review of the site and surrounding area.
Oh David Northumberland is one for your list. The coastline is stunning. There are some really amazing places to go and see. Our vlogs for Old Hartley, River Breamish, Cragside and Beamish are sensational and a must see! 💕
wow.....its ten years since I went there. Its had an utter transformation. There used to be a bird of prey centre at the side of it. Ive just finished the conversion on my van so a return is deffo going to happen. great video!!!!
Thank you - appreciated. Definitely worth another visit - we loved it and would love to go back. Shame the bird of prey centre isn’t there still. Have a great weekend, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
This looks great, we must have driven close by on our way up the A1 as we headed to Fife. Liked & subbed to your channel too. Happy travels, Dave & Helen 👍
Thank you Dave & Helen it is literally a hop, skip and jump from the A1. It is a beautiful site. We are looking forward to your Scotland series as we are heading that way in June. Thank you for subscribing 💕
Beautiful. We visited Lindisfarne a few years ago and it was blowing and absolute hoolie 😯. Still a beautiful place, but thanks for showing what we could have seen. The site looks ace too 👍
It’s a beautiful area if you catch the weather right - shame it wasn’t as nice when you were there. The site was lovely and we would definitely go back - all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Wow can’t believe how much the barn at Beal has expanded 😀 we used to live in Berwick upon tweed and the barn was just a cafe restaurant when we were last there. Great video guys I know where I’m staying when we pop down to visit friends 😀👍
Morning! It is such a beautiful place. The Barn was beautiful, so well converted and busy most the time too which is great for them! Sneak in a little visit to friends to have a 👀 I don’t think you would be disappointed 💕
Looks another lovely site and some great local attractions. Joly island looks nice too and as you say its keep an eye on the tide times. Oh David another beer in hand 🤣🤣. You all looked liked you had a great time to. Many thanks
Afternoon Tim! I have never been to Holy island before (Rachel) and I love it! The Barn was lovely … a great site! Beer in hand and Roxy found water! 😝
We stayed at the Beadnell site in Northumberland last week and had a trip to Bamburgh where we had Pilgrims coffee and a kipper in a bun on the beach. Both were delicious. I have been to Holy Island a few years ago but it would definitely be worth going back and I will keep that campsite in mind. Thanks for sharing.
Oh what was Beadbell Bay like? I think the whole Northumberland coast is so under rated - it is stunning! It was my first trip to Holy Island and I loved it. Highly recommended 💕
@@LeisureBit It was lovely. The Craster Inn at Beadnell is dog friendly and the food is really nice. There’s also a dog friendly cafe which we didn’t visit but it served champagne by the glass so I took that as a good sign! You can also walk along the great beach into Seahouses which we also love. We made it to Bamburgh but Alnwick and Warkworth are also nearby so it’s a fantastic campsite to explore the area. The weather was cool but very sunny so all in all we had a great time. We’re definitely going back. I agree with you that Northumberland is a hidden gem.
First of all, big congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers! Well done you two. You work so hard to produce professional and informative vlogs. It’s a well deserved achievement . You have certainly tempted us to plan some visits! Barn at Beal Looked like a nice site. Like the rustic style. So cosy. Gorgeous views. Want to go to Lindisfarne and Holy Island. ( back to my Mike Oldfield days 🤣) Cheeky sparrows😉love Roxy’s happy tail🤣 cycle route looked good. Love the idea of the causeway but quite scary if you get caught out. So many nice walks. Awesome drive over the causeway. You had gorgeous weather too. Nice tour of the village. Priory looked really interesting and what a location for it. Lindisfarne castle looked very impressive on the hill. That cobblestone stairway was interesting. Easy to spend ages there. Enjoy your mead. Lovely vlog guys 😊👍🧙♂️
Awww thank you so much that’s really appreciated and means a lot. Lindisfarne was amazing, I came away wondering why I hadn’t been before as have done the boat trip to the other Farne Islands back when I was at school (many moons ago) and can’t remember ever going to Lindisfarne. We also did the boat trip about 5 years ago from Seahouses, if you’re in the area that is also worth considering. The causeway I was worried about before going, but if you stick to the safe crossing times and give yourself some additional time I’m sure all would be uneventful - I wouldn’t want to be the one chancing it and getting caught out (imagine the embarrassment) all be it would be a very popular vlog I’m sure, just less popular with the coat guard etc 😀 I would have liked to have had a look around the priory inside and the museum but we were too early and you had to be off the island by 12:45 ish on that day if I remember right. Someone gave me a tip that if you want to explore the island in the busier months, going over before the tide comes in then coming off when it retreats was a good idea, however, the coffee shop etc. on the day we were on all closed when folks left for the day. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Northumberland area. We are really looking forward to exploring Skye after watching your fantastic vlogs - the scenery is beautiful and things you discovered are amazing ❤️ Thanks again, have a lovely weekend. all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Morning guys! Thank you for your kind words 💕 The Barn @ Beale was a lovely site, great views and the food was amazing! Like David I can’t believe it was my first visit to Holy Island, it is stunning. Imagine if we had got the crossing time wrong! 🤣🤣 a taxi got caught out the week before! Roxy is a happy little girl most the time (unless there is a motorbike 🏍 or bipping microwave) I hope we get to meet up soon again Rachel
Definitely recommend Eat Sleep as overnight stop. Full English breakfast recommended also. The guy who runs it (Sean) is happy to accommodate campervans as long as they eat in cafe
Northumberland is on our counties still to do. I have been looking at a site called Budle but this site looks far superior and much closer to Holy Island. I visited as a child but only really remember the drive back as the sea was on its way in. Take care Gill
Thank you - any along the edge seem to have a nice view - we certainly thought it was one of the best, all be it higher up may give wider aspect. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
@@LeisureBitHi David. We have managed to get pitch 16. Can you remember if you need a 20 m hook up cable or would a shorter one do for that pitch. Thanks
Brilliant keep up the good work
Thank you for the comment, really appreciate the encouragement- have a great weekend, all the best, David 👍

We’ve driven past this many times and have stayed o/n twice in Eat Sleep car park behind garage at top of road
May try yours next time 👍🏻
