I bought a 'used' new guitar from the Oakdale, MN Guitar Center too. 2019 Epiphone Special I with P-90 pickups. Excellent condition, good as new really, plays and sounds fantastic. They said it was returned for store credit on another guitar by a regular customer who just didn't like the matte open-pore finish. I paid $119.99 + $20.50 shipping. All it needed was a setup and good strings. I also polished the frets and conditioned the fretboard. Great guitar. I really lucked out. Your P-Bass looks great, I hope you like it. $220 is a steal for a nice Squier bass. I'd take one just like it.
@@ArtOfShredYT That was a couple years ago but I think Oakdale's an example of a Guitar Center that's tryin' to do things right. I've also had great experiences and good deals buying used from GCs at Joliet, Shreveport, OK City, New Braunfels TX, and Cincinnati. Guitar Center like in the good old days- 'Guitar Bros.' Avoid Milbury MA! They straight-up lied and knowingly unloaded a crap guitar on me that I had to work on for 6hrs to fix. But I like fixing guitars and I've got time. It's fine now but if was paying someone else for the repairs I coulda bought a nicer guitar new instead. So let that be a lesson to me I guess. But if that was the first GC I ever bought from it would also have been the last!
I got one of these for around 200 new from guitar center and threw Steve Harris pickups in it. Its amazing. Feels and plays better than a lot of the Mexi P basses I have played.
Ah man I wanted this one! I ended up getting the blue one for the same price because the red one was about 400 bucks. Darn! No way I could’ve waited over a year for that deal though
Impossible to know it would have gone on sale at such an incredible price. If I had seen blue at this price a year ago I'd have probably bought it too. Great bass so far! 🤘
You can't beat a P bass . Not keen on the matt finish, makes it look cheap. Don't know what you were putting it through the twangy metallic sound was very odd and not at all P. Bassy.

Nice Bass good deal!
Yup, for sure. It's fun having a bass again :)
right decision - nothing over a nice P Bass and that's a nice one
For sure. I wasn't sure I'd like the gold and thought I might change out the pickguard but it actually works nicely with the dakota red 🤘
@@ArtOfShredYT i think it looks awesome!
