I remember a few Wars ago, when me and just 3 other guys made a small tank raid on the wardens, packing up diesel and driving all across the frozen lakes on barren unplayed routes to get far behind the enemy lines where we blew up several Harbors, supply bases and FOBs and made all in all 2 trips leading to the Warden centre assault just stopping and crumbling. After 3 weeks of War, just 1 Day after our heroic adventure the War was ended

That's always great to hear! A lot of people are very nice and prosocial but there's the odd moment of toxicity here and there. That being said, to avoid Foxhole just for that is to deprive yourself of a great game over something extremely commonplace. Glad to see that's not the case for everyone, though!
from what I can tell its a 50/50 either you get the most kind, helpful, nice people ever or the most annoying toxic people ever. In my hours i have come across very little toxic players at all however i know plenty of people who have.
@larubric Its been a year, how does this comment stack up in today's foxhole community? I'm this close to clicking buy game but some bad reviews about grieving teammates and smurf accounts causing griefing are a huge turn off.
I recently bought the game and have not noticed much toxicity in fact I can only recount like 1 person in 20ish hours of gameplay, especially with the logistics side there is plenty of videos and people willing to help you.@@AbeTweakin

I have said it many times, but it always bears repeating: Foxhole is CONCEPTUALLY the perfect game. There is something for everyone. Like FPS firefights? Got it. Like trucking simulators? Got it. Like city/group management? Got it. Like doing lone wolf spy type stuff? Got it. The list goes on. It is a game that has so much within it wouthout being lost in the sort of aimlessness you get in a game like minecraft. ALSO, Wardens are stinky nerds.
I wish the game had a slightly more defined command structure for efficient running of ops & strategy on the frontlines. Aside from that, literally perfect.

That's fair. I think perhaps I'm far more casual than the average player and the experience of warfare on a grand scale doesn't really change for me if I'm winning or losing. For those more involved who feel like they're losing due to something they can't control, I can understand complaints. Still feel like maybe some people take it too seriously, like Hans and Larry, and set really awful examples for new players.

Problem with policing political viewpoints is that you are either going to commit an unreasonable amount of time trying to figure out the current contemporary metapolitics and it's nuances, or you're going to piss off 50% of potential customer base by accidentally siding with a false narrative. It's a lot easier to not take a side and tank the few hurt feelings your meme profile pics might cause, rather than fan the flames and cause a massive division. Imagine if your video game developers took issue with you having references to Michael Jackson due to them seeing on TV he was supposedly a kiddy diddler. How about getting banned for saying Orange Juice, just because they started getting involved with the OJ Simpson debate? World has no shortage of controversies and policing opinions never ends if you go down that road.

Had a day once where we tried to defend the swamps from tanks and artillary while having none ourselves, only zookas and AT grenades and running low on anything including gas masks because only 2 people were supplying us

Great review and accurate. You made a point about asymmetrical warfare but it's hard to determine if one faction is losing because of skill issue, overpower weapons or both.

I got about 190 hours as a medic main, and I have to say. Plasma costs bmats too ;-; you normally won't last to use anymore than 5 plasma in a go, and other infantry probably won't loot it since to takes up an entire slot.

4:40 literally me. Yesterday i bought foxhole and after completing training course I deployed in... I don't know how it's named, south of big city, fort something or somthing like this. So, yesterday, after 2 hours of gameplay (getting exploded by few tanks) I took antitank grenade launcher and smg. I've assaulted and wiped 21 player out of the trench, so our guys came inside of it, then there came enemy tank, I destroyed it, than came another one. He and the machinegunner supressed me and i was really surprised when I saw 6 grenades landing on me. This death was much funnier then killing all of the guys in the trench. So, moral of the story: no matter how much you kill, if you are playing foxhole you are masochist. Seriously, which mental stable person after 8 hours on factory will come to a game to work on a factory another 8 hours

Being honest I feel like the community has changed or at least grown less toxic idk I'm yet to encounter an extreme case of toxicity. I was genuinely surprised when people said the Wardens were extremely toxic as my first experience with other players was very positive... encouraging I might say, of course I was playing Charlie for my first half so that might have something to do with it.
A year later and this video has something a little wrong, the game got more bad ass than it was before and is now soooooo worth the money. Tanks got improved, navel behemoths were added, rocket artillery for the Soviets were added, and factories were added for logi femboys. And in my personal opinion, the community became nicer with me not having a single issue with anyone in months.
Here is my tip as a fellow medic, dont bring too many bandages and plasma, most of the time 6-7 bandage and 5 plasma are enough, except if you are the only medic there and you are surounded by many enemies. Also dont forget gas mask, and maybe radio and bayonet+rifle. No one expect bayonet medic highlight of previous war in my experience: 84-85: the great dam war 86: we must push plaza at all cost 87: tried colie for the first time, regret it because green uniform make it harder to spot blood at night for every new foxhole player, beware of arty, a good arty team with sufficient ammo will decimate the whole frontline fast, make sure that you are not at the wrong side, getting shelled is not fun
My advice as long time player: gas masks and filtres. Fack everything else. Only pick up bit of ammo and gas mask plus filtres and 2 bandages and pick up the gun at the front from the countless boxes from corpses being collected. So logi needs to waste less ressources making new guns all the times instead of making ammo or grenades or shirts. Also sticking to rifle as early player while leaving the assault rifles to experienced ones because they expensive. Ducking in bushes works wonders if you get swarmed to stay hidden Riding bicycles beyond frontline and sabotaging is also good option to contribute

8:12 Nothing like a long night where you know the enemy is just beyond the tree line.. and you wait.. and you wait... and you wait... you hear gunshots in the darkness... and you wait... and then, by the Grace of God himself, the sun rises, the darkness diappartes. This is one of those things foxhole really captures well, even though it's a top down - the sense of "Band of Brothers" and making it through the night I haven't experienced in any other game

Honestly one of the most amazing TH-cam videos I’ve seen in a long while. I’ve played foxhole for a couple hundred hours and the commentary is spot on. The editing is amazing and has so much effort put in, and the comedy is perfectly balanced without feeling too much or too little. Every. Single. Person, that I’ve ever tried to get to play foxhole gets this video linked to them as soon as I think they might enjoy the game. You sum up the gems that this game has to offer to well and present the new player experience so accurately that I truly think this is the best foxhole review I’ve ever seen, and it is one of my favorite videos of all time. It earned my like and sub ages ago, and after having come back to this video for the n’th time, I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. So much so that I HAD to comment on the craftsmanship and effort put into making it. I've had this game for all of a month... I have 166.7 hours already. In the first day of 89, I scrooped for 14 hours straight. 10/10 would scroop again.
i think all the mean collies are on reddit, and they're the noisiest. TBH in the actual game, i've only been screwed over once as a collie in my time from private to 2nd lieutenant, and they were clannies.
This game give me trauma and ptsd . I was playing as medic, rushing frontline with the squad of 4 other random dudes, jumping through house ruins, fox hole, trenches. A loud boom sound hit, body flying everywhere, An arty land a big one next to our location. Down guys yelling medic, people rushing in to carry wonded back, another arty hit. We were evapolarated in seconds. The enemy see the opportunity to make a break through, pushing with their tanks and infantry support. We got overrun, people charging bayonete to our bunker base, pistol fire, gerenade , machine gun pin us down. And booom we lost effort to hold the line... What a game.
I’ve found problematic people to be the minority when I play. People generally get along pretty well with some bad jokes being thrown around as arty rains down on us. Good video
This is a great video that shows what foxhole is about but I do think it forgets to mention the great presence clans have in the game and that most of the toxicity is them deciding for others what can and cant be done ive seen peoples bases be completely destroyed because a clan said it took resources from them and they can get away with mass reporting someone if they think they deserve it luckily not everyone is toxic like that but if you happen to get in that situation it will ruin the game for you
the way you talk about this, is the same way i view a different game that in a way, feels the same, ARMA 3 is also a War Game, and how it is played is on any players desire. sadly arma also suffers from that shit, worse even if i dare say, at least in my experience in some servers...

Hoping you still reply to comments here because I have a question. I like this game in concept but every experience I've had with it so far has been fruitlessly running to MG fire. I don't know if I somehow Ultra Instinct-ed away from every coordinated action but I never managed to feel like part of anything and just felt like I was wasting my side's resources. Every map I joined was stuck with the lines not moving and no real push from either side What do?
Nice to see the game still going strong! I used to play way back in the early days, many stories to be told, being a medic for a huge push where everyone screamed for medic, assaulting a building with a pistol doing CQB work only to have the building flattened by Collie arty after we took it (but it made them lose the town so that's nice). Taking a class photograph in a blizzard before a suicidal human wave push through a ravine. Guerilla and counter guerilla work in the woods. Pathfinding a way into a heavily fortified city. Ambushing enemy logi trucks. It was great. And then there was that one incident where they nuked a friendly city and the whole community lost their minds. Is that city still in the game? I forgot its name.

Tbh, the fortifications and logistics are the main thing i would like to do. It just feels like my work will benefit people more then me being on the front. I can work on defenses and plan fortifications, supply lines and so on. The first video i saw of foxhole was from a video where some people were on an island and low on resurses and were struggling to get by. I wana set up on a island now and dedicate my self to making a whole god damn fortress, a bastion on the waves. Tho rn i wanna buy the game, my question is will i want to play it in the future and how long i can dedicate myself to it. So ill wait before buying it. Have fun shooting and manneging resurses :D.

Be me Warden one who has made a Noble Widow fooling around the first time with it being driver/Commander and aiding at the bridge fight close to the salt mines. Warden I : This is basicly a Hetzer better keep shooting tanks. To save Ammunition Warden II : Okay Collie with Anti Tank rifle walks by Warden I switches to Commander "Antitank rifle distance 30m 33 degrees" Warden II okay. Warden II proceeds to blapp the ATR and the other guys next to it with a single shell. Warden I&II : Laughs in German on VC continues to laugh on VC. Warden III : This is a Foxhole moment.

One thing I can say from myself when it comes down to anger after a lost war, even if your not there to witness the ending screen, is the competition that emerged from the score count (won/lost wars). You're trying to put as much effort and time as you can to help and win the war, and when you lose it really feels like your team could have done better or you can think that the enemy equipment is overpowered compared to what your faction has after some encounters (even if its biased by you remembering mostly the bad parts of it) But as in almost every game, there will be hard and toxic competition. Also get rekt blueberry, long live the Legion
6:00 A while ago, me and my warden m8's made a shit ton of Armored Cars, then told random-ass people to grab one, fill it up with ammo, take to the front and do damage.
As a veteran of the infantry and motorized infantry all I can say is when you first launch grab a rifle and grab 3 rounds and get you're ass in the fight ask a Sargent or a Cpl where they need you stationed and hold that position for hours on end just sit there and defend that position. You'll experience how to survive and fight through basic experience as a infantryman. Logi is more complex and harder to understand for most new players and basically all you need to worry about is what the hells coming at you. If you go in with basic training you're a trained rifleman. If you go in without training you're gonna be a new volunteer and be hated for needing on the job training. Always take what you need never more. All you need as frontline infantry is a rifle 3 mags MAX and a bandage trust me you're only gonna need one. Chances of you surviving actual combat are very slim as a man with 1 hour of combat experience compared to a man with 300 hours but that also don't mean shit when you're getting hit by artillery mortar fire snipers grenades and machine guns. JOIN A SQUAD make friends and fight with them when possible they will help you survive easier and they are more reliable and trustable. Ranks can be random you can be a private or a Lance Corporal or even a sergeant on start for me personally seems it depends on basic combat training and previous warfare experience it can change through the wars. It's pretty cool. And don't worry take you're time this war can last over a year I've heard at one point a real life year. Of a stalemate I've only heard. Game is amazing for how much of bonds and stress can be made another good role is the tank gunnerman. Or driver listen to the commanding officer just sun and fire where he says or just drive where you're told. Basics are best. Don't even try to be a naval warfare man at that point as a noob. That will be 20x more complex to do naval warfare.
This video is gold, the player base is toxic and not toxic at the same time. Indeed, some patern like the exagerates fear of alts or the whinning and complaining around balance are toxic indeed. But it is also a very nice community where a noob can basically ask people to help them learn the game and then a random veteran teach the noob how to play. Loved your video Rubric. I will say right now YES I am a collie...but not by choice. Originally I wanted to join the side of the Wardens but in War 95 as of right now, they are completely full XD! But joking aside, that is not the point here. I think most people are missing the point of this game which is seemingly why a ton of them get so childish. The point being that it is supposed to be an organized collaborative effort in order to win an ongoing persistent war where, even if your playing solo, you still matter to the faction. I've sunk 20 hours into this game already within 3 days of, like you, playing A FULL REAL DAY. I joined a squad/group or whatever you want to call them then immediately left that particular one as the people there were rather depressing and negative. Later another group asked if I wanted to join them and I accepted their invitation as well. They were much more welcoming and I did logi with them for a while with them and still am in their group right now. A guy in my squad put it perfectly...this is the greatest game you will ever love but also hate at the same time. I've purchased many games now that I still am not sure if I am getting my money's worth out of them. This I can see being one of them... Now with my little summary being over I can get into the major problems but also strengths I see with this game. One of the main strengths but also weaknesses of this game is the collaborative nature of it and that people *might* put aside differences to help the main objective. However, like the man in the video loosing his crap over a guy making a bus, you get people who will rip a person to shreds over something so stupid or minor, it's ridiculous. Yeah, this is the internet and you have to remember that no, it ain't gonna be perfect. But the thing people seemingly forget in their fit of rage is, that other character is a real person somewhere who is also playing the game. Confrontation is not something I like having to deal with because nowadays, people don't back down anymore, even if they are wrong or being stupid. No one can admit when they ARE actually wrong about something, so you get those people who yell, scream or even team kill (like I was the one day) to try and do it their way. The ironic twist of this is these are the people that ultimately hurt a battle or faction as a whole. Hey, nobody, including me, likes being wrong. But I sure as crap am gonna hear the other person out and what they have to say before I go all out ballistic on my own team. It's called DEBATING, not harassment, which the latter is what I am seeing of on both sides. This brings me to my next point of how a lot of the game's current problems as of September 2022 could be solved. The #1 thing this game needs is active moderation and administrative teams in game 24/7. Yeah that would be a lot for the dev team to take on but could easily be accomplished by them putting applications out there for public people to test with. It would remind me of how TruckersMP does their multiplayer moderation in that, mods are acquired from the community. How this could be applied to Foxhole would be for the developers to figure out honestly but I think it would help bring down the toxic part of the player base that seems to be eating at both sides right now. It'd also take away some of the PTSD this game can give you XD. I won't go too far in depth with logistics and how it could be improved as that would be a whole other discussion too. All I am going to say about it though is I don't think 1.0 is going to necessarily fix the problem with logi right now. Trains might allow players to transport more in 1 go and facilities then can help with production, but that will only add more demand plus capacity for more logi people vs front line fighters. Having balancing between the 2 (logi and fighting) is really what is needed right now. Too much of either and you end up with tons of supplies and no soldiers or too many soldiers and too little supplies. To me 1 man should be able to make as much of a difference in the backline as a group could and a group would then be able to bring days worth of supplies to 1 or multiple fronts, freeing those logi people up for other work or even participation in combat. I've noticed lately that in War 95, we're having a ton of deaths in places, some upwards of 700 or 800 deaths per hour. That is super difficult to go and supply on your own right now or even in groups of people. As your army grows, so does your demand for more supplies. Now on the battlefield? Of course not as having a 1 man army would get rather boring and defeat the whole charm of this game's collaborative combat mechanics. Overall, I am gonna keep Foxhole and see where it goes. I was debating on having it removed from my account and just being out the $31, but you showed me why I should also keep the game and I've learned both the up and down sides of it with just 20 hours of gameplay. Whoever says you need over 100 hours in this game to truly understand it is DEAD WRONG! - Nick

the only time i played this game i managed to damage a vehicle with grenades in the tutorial area after which i got accused of being an alt for the opposing faction and banned from the game so i immediately refunded lol

Like for example im a coli ok no hard feelings but I remember on tempest island when the Heavy 68mm was out like 5 wars ago I remember me and my buddy held a bridge (forgot which one) and we killed like 4 silver hands and 5 LTs than somehow we managed to hold our ground enough to get more ppl in and we managed to take the whole region with one push. And the funny thing is this story is one out of millions of stories that players have

@@larubric It certainly was, AND It was Surprisingly effective. The rushes they did confused the enemy and resulted in I think like 1 AC Death 2 Enemy FMG Captures, and 1 enemy FMG Death. All at the cost of some bikes and SS.

YEEEAHHHH LOGI!!!!! I am a DEDICATED logi man, Scrooping, and running can be sooo stressful lol. I find it fun in the stress of trying to keep the base functioning, more than the actual combat. scrooping (game censored the "crap" from "scrap" so it became scroop lol) while watching shirts dwindle alarmingly fast, tring to get crates to the BB before it collapses. and after you deliver stickies and the "TWO TANKS!!!" marker disappears. feels SO GOOD to know your equipment helped.
Playing the game, I’ve found bringing up anything political can cause more issues than it’s worth, people tend to play video games to escape reality, people get angry when you pull them back to it, do I agree with either side of the political spectrum, short answer, no, does it matter in a community server or game, no, just roll with it, does the community suck? Yeah, fuck em, enjoy the game, ignore them and work with those who seem to have their head exposed to fresh air
Also, I don’t think that multiplayer sucks, it’s influencers that make poor examples that steer the community to suck, I used to like old faze, when they made cool montages, now their drama and shitty members pushed me away, kids and idiots still follow them and act like them, they are the problem, I hate toxic streamers, and unfortunately it seems like most of the foxhole streamers are toxic ass hats

I remember a few Wars ago, when me and just 3 other guys made a small tank raid on the wardens, packing up diesel and driving all across the frozen lakes on barren unplayed routes to get far behind the enemy lines where we blew up several Harbors, supply bases and FOBs and made all in all 2 trips leading to the Warden centre assault just stopping and crumbling. After 3 weeks of War, just 1 Day after our heroic adventure the War was ended

That's always great to hear! A lot of people are very nice and prosocial but there's the odd moment of toxicity here and there. That being said, to avoid Foxhole just for that is to deprive yourself of a great game over something extremely commonplace. Glad to see that's not the case for everyone, though!
from what I can tell its a 50/50 either you get the most kind, helpful, nice people ever or the most annoying toxic people ever. In my hours i have come across very little toxic players at all however i know plenty of people who have.
@larubric Its been a year, how does this comment stack up in today's foxhole community? I'm this close to clicking buy game but some bad reviews about grieving teammates and smurf accounts causing griefing are a huge turn off.
I recently bought the game and have not noticed much toxicity in fact I can only recount like 1 person in 20ish hours of gameplay, especially with the logistics side there is plenty of videos and people willing to help you.@@AbeTweakin

I have said it many times, but it always bears repeating: Foxhole is CONCEPTUALLY the perfect game. There is something for everyone. Like FPS firefights? Got it. Like trucking simulators? Got it. Like city/group management? Got it. Like doing lone wolf spy type stuff? Got it. The list goes on. It is a game that has so much within it wouthout being lost in the sort of aimlessness you get in a game like minecraft.

That's fair. I think perhaps I'm far more casual than the average player and the experience of warfare on a grand scale doesn't really change for me if I'm winning or losing. For those more involved who feel like they're losing due to something they can't control, I can understand complaints. Still feel like maybe some people take it too seriously, like Hans and Larry, and set really awful examples for new players.

Problem with policing political viewpoints is that you are either going to commit an unreasonable amount of time trying to figure out the current contemporary metapolitics and it's nuances, or you're going to piss off 50% of potential customer base by accidentally siding with a false narrative.

Great review and accurate. You made a point about asymmetrical warfare but it's hard to determine if one faction is losing because of skill issue, overpower weapons or both.
The best way to see is to look at the overall war win/loss rate and even that is like maybe 1-2 wars out of 100 off

I got about 190 hours as a medic main, and I have to say. Plasma costs bmats too ;-; you normally won't last to use anymore than 5 plasma in a go, and other infantry probably won't loot it since to takes up an entire slot.

4:40 literally me. Yesterday i bought foxhole and after completing training course I deployed in... I don't know how it's named, south of big city, fort something or somthing like this. So, yesterday, after 2 hours of gameplay (getting exploded by few tanks) I took antitank grenade launcher and smg. I've assaulted and wiped 21 player out of the trench, so our guys came inside of it, then there came enemy tank, I destroyed it, than came another one. He and the machinegunner supressed me and i was really surprised when I saw 6 grenades landing on me. This death was much funnier then killing all of the guys in the trench. So, moral of the story: no matter how much you kill, if you are playing foxhole you are masochist. Seriously, which mental stable person after 8 hours on factory will come to a game to work on a factory another 8 hours

Being honest I feel like the community has changed or at least grown less toxic idk I'm yet to encounter an extreme case of toxicity. I was genuinely surprised when people said the Wardens were extremely toxic as my first experience with other players was very positive... encouraging I might say, of course I was playing Charlie for my first half so that might have something to do with it.
A year later and this video has something a little wrong, the game got more bad ass than it was before and is now soooooo worth the money. Tanks got improved, navel behemoths were added, rocket artillery for the Soviets were added, and factories were added for logi femboys. And in my personal opinion, the community became nicer with me not having a single issue with anyone in months.

Here is my tip as a fellow medic, dont bring too many bandages and plasma, most of the time 6-7 bandage and 5 plasma are enough, except if you are the only medic there and you are surounded by many enemies. Also dont forget gas mask, and maybe radio and bayonet+rifle. No one expect bayonet medic
highlight of previous war in my experience:
84-85: the great dam war
86: we must push plaza at all cost
87: tried colie for the first time, regret it because green uniform make it harder to spot blood at night
for every new foxhole player, beware of arty, a good arty team with sufficient ammo will decimate the whole frontline fast, make sure that you are not at the wrong side, getting shelled is not fun

My advice as long time player: gas masks and filtres. Fack everything else. Only pick up bit of ammo and gas mask plus filtres and 2 bandages and pick up the gun at the front from the countless boxes from corpses being collected. So logi needs to waste less ressources making new guns all the times instead of making ammo or grenades or shirts.
Also sticking to rifle as early player while leaving the assault rifles to experienced ones because they expensive.
Ducking in bushes works wonders if you get swarmed to stay hidden
Riding bicycles beyond frontline and sabotaging is also good option to contribute
Friendly reminder that all that ammo you bring into the field is made by humans, so don’t forget to not be an asshole and take 6 mags

This is one of those things foxhole really captures well, even though it's a top down - the sense of "Band of Brothers" and making it through the night I haven't experienced in any other game

Honestly one of the most amazing TH-cam videos I’ve seen in a long while. I’ve played foxhole for a couple hundred hours and the commentary is spot on. The editing is amazing and has so much effort put in, and the comedy is perfectly balanced without feeling too much or too little. Every. Single. Person, that I’ve ever tried to get to play foxhole gets this video linked to them as soon as I think they might enjoy the game. You sum up the gems that this game has to offer to well and present the new player experience so accurately that I truly think this is the best foxhole review I’ve ever seen, and it is one of my favorite videos of all time. It earned my like and sub ages ago, and after having come back to this video for the n’th time, I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. So much so that I HAD to comment on the craftsmanship and effort put into making it. Keep doing what you’re doing, this effort is sure to be recognized and rewarded to the degree it deserves soon enough!

This game give me trauma and ptsd . I was playing as medic, rushing frontline with the squad of 4 other random dudes, jumping through house ruins, fox hole, trenches. A loud boom sound hit, body flying everywhere, An arty land a big one next to our location. Down guys yelling medic, people rushing in to carry wonded back, another arty hit. We were evapolarated in seconds.
The enemy see the opportunity to make a break through, pushing with their tanks and infantry support. We got overrun, people charging bayonete to our bunker base, pistol fire, gerenade , machine gun pin us down. And booom we lost effort to hold the line...
What a game.
I’ve found problematic people to be the minority when I play. People generally get along pretty well with some bad jokes being thrown around as arty rains down on us. Good video

This is a great video that shows what foxhole is about but I do think it forgets to mention the great presence clans have in the game and that most of the toxicity is them deciding for others what can and cant be done ive seen peoples bases be completely destroyed because a clan said it took resources from them and they can get away with mass reporting someone if they think they deserve it luckily not everyone is toxic like that but if you happen to get in that situation it will ruin the game for you
the way you talk about this, is the same way i view a different game that in a way, feels the same, ARMA 3 is also a War Game, and how it is played is on any players desire. sadly arma also suffers from that shit, worse even if i dare say, at least in my experience in some servers...

Hoping you still reply to comments here because I have a question. I like this game in concept but every experience I've had with it so far has been fruitlessly running to MG fire. I don't know if I somehow Ultra Instinct-ed away from every coordinated action but I never managed to feel like part of anything and just felt like I was wasting my side's resources. Every map I joined was stuck with the lines not moving and no real push from either side

Nice to see the game still going strong! I used to play way back in the early days, many stories to be told, being a medic for a huge push where everyone screamed for medic, assaulting a building with a pistol doing CQB work only to have the building flattened by Collie arty after we took it (but it made them lose the town so that's nice). Taking a class photograph in a blizzard before a suicidal human wave push through a ravine. Guerilla and counter guerilla work in the woods. Pathfinding a way into a heavily fortified city. Ambushing enemy logi trucks. It was great. And then there was that one incident where they nuked a friendly city and the whole community lost their minds. Is that city still in the game? I forgot its name.
Jade Cove is still there lol. This game is still very alive and a lot of fun!

Tbh, the fortifications and logistics are the main thing i would like to do. It just feels like my work will benefit people more then me being on the front. I can work on defenses and plan fortifications, supply lines and so on. The first video i saw of foxhole was from a video where some people were on an island and low on resurses and were struggling to get by. I wana set up on a island now and dedicate my self to making a whole god damn fortress, a bastion on the waves.
Tho rn i wanna buy the game, my question is will i want to play it in the future and how long i can dedicate myself to it. So ill wait before buying it.

Nice edits my guy, however, I don't appreciate beeing called greeny meany and... the other one... Jokes aside really nice analysys of the game. One thing I can say from myself when it comes down to anger after a lost war, even if your not there to witness the ending screen, is the competition that emerged from the score count (won/lost wars). You're trying to put as much effort and time as you can to help and win the war, and when you lose it really feels like your team could have done better or you can think that the enemy equipment is overpowered compared to what your faction has after some encounters (even if its biased by you remembering mostly the bad parts of it) But as in almost every game, there will be hard and toxic competition.

A while ago, me and my warden m8's made a shit ton of Armored Cars, then told random-ass people to grab one, fill it up with ammo, take to the front and do damage.
As a veteran of the infantry and motorized infantry all I can say is when you first launch grab a rifle and grab 3 rounds and get you're ass in the fight ask a Sargent or a Cpl where they need you stationed and hold that position for hours on end just sit there and defend that position. You'll experience how to survive and fight through basic experience as a infantryman. Logi is more complex and harder to understand for most new players and basically all you need to worry about is what the hells coming at you. If you go in with basic training you're a trained rifleman. If you go in without training you're gonna be a new volunteer and be hated for needing on the job training. Always take what you need never more. All you need as frontline infantry is a rifle 3 mags MAX and a bandage trust me you're only gonna need one. Chances of you surviving actual combat are very slim as a man with 1 hour of combat experience compared to a man with 300 hours but that also don't mean shit when you're getting hit by artillery mortar fire snipers grenades and machine guns. JOIN A SQUAD make friends and fight with them when possible they will help you survive easier and they are more reliable and trustable. Ranks can be random you can be a private or a Lance Corporal or even a sergeant on start for me personally seems it depends on basic combat training and previous warfare experience it can change through the wars. It's pretty cool. And don't worry take you're time this war can last over a year I've heard at one point a real life year. Of a stalemate I've only heard. Game is amazing for how much of bonds and stress can be made another good role is the tank gunnerman. Or driver listen to the commanding officer just sun and fire where he says or just drive where you're told. Basics are best. Don't even try to be a naval warfare man at that point as a noob. That will be 20x more complex to do naval warfare.
This video is gold, the player base is toxic and not toxic at the same time. Indeed, some patern like the exagerates fear of alts or the whinning and complaining around balance are toxic indeed. But it is also a very nice community where a noob can basically ask people to help them learn the game and then a random veteran teach the noob how to play. It is both good and toxic at the same time, your vid points it out i think. Awsome vis bdw.

Loved your video Rubric. I will say right now YES I am a collie...but not by choice. Originally I wanted to join the side of the Wardens but in War 95 as of right now, they are completely full XD!
But joking aside, that is not the point here. I think most people are missing the point of this game which is seemingly why a ton of them get so childish. The point being that it is supposed to be an organized collaborative effort in order to win an ongoing persistent war where, even if your playing solo, you still matter to the faction. I've sunk 20 hours into this game already within 3 days of, like you, playing A FULL REAL DAY. I joined a squad/group or whatever you want to call them then immediately left that particular one as the people there were rather depressing and negative. Later another group asked if I wanted to join them and I accepted their invitation as well. They were much more welcoming and I did logi with them for a while with them and still am in their group right now. A guy in my squad put it perfectly...this is the greatest game you will ever love but also hate at the same time. I've purchased many games now that I still am not sure if I am getting my money's worth out of them. This I can see being one of them...
Now with my little summary being over I can get into the major problems but also strengths I see with this game.
One of the main strengths but also weaknesses of this game is the collaborative nature of it and that people *might* put aside differences to help the main objective. However, like the man in the video loosing his crap over a guy making a bus, you get people who will rip a person to shreds over something so stupid or minor, it's ridiculous. Yeah, this is the internet and you have to remember that no, it ain't gonna be perfect. But the thing people seemingly forget in their fit of rage is, that other character is a real person somewhere who is also playing the game. Confrontation is not something I like having to deal with because nowadays, people don't back down anymore, even if they are wrong or being stupid. No one can admit when they ARE actually wrong about something, so you get those people who yell, scream or even team kill (like I was the one day) to try and do it their way. The ironic twist of this is these are the people that ultimately hurt a battle or faction as a whole. Hey, nobody, including me, likes being wrong. But I sure as crap am gonna hear the other person out and what they have to say before I go all out ballistic on my own team. It's called DEBATING, not harassment, which the latter is what I am seeing of on both sides.
This brings me to my next point of how a lot of the game's current problems as of September 2022 could be solved. The #1 thing this game needs is active moderation and administrative teams in game 24/7. Yeah that would be a lot for the dev team to take on but could easily be accomplished by them putting applications out there for public people to test with. It would remind me of how TruckersMP does their multiplayer moderation in that, mods are acquired from the community. How this could be applied to Foxhole would be for the developers to figure out honestly but I think it would help bring down the toxic part of the player base that seems to be eating at both sides right now. It'd also take away some of the PTSD this game can give you XD.
I won't go too far in depth with logistics and how it could be improved as that would be a whole other discussion too. All I am going to say about it though is I don't think 1.0 is going to necessarily fix the problem with logi right now. Trains might allow players to transport more in 1 go and facilities then can help with production, but that will only add more demand plus capacity for more logi people vs front line fighters. Having balancing between the 2 (logi and fighting) is really what is needed right now. Too much of either and you end up with tons of supplies and no soldiers or too many soldiers and too little supplies. To me 1 man should be able to make as much of a difference in the backline as a group could and a group would then be able to bring days worth of supplies to 1 or multiple fronts, freeing those logi people up for other work or even participation in combat. I've noticed lately that in War 95, we're having a ton of deaths in places, some upwards of 700 or 800 deaths per hour. That is super difficult to go and supply on your own right now or even in groups of people. As your army grows, so does your demand for more supplies. Now on the battlefield? Of course not as having a 1 man army would get rather boring and defeat the whole charm of this game's collaborative combat mechanics.
Overall, I am gonna keep Foxhole and see where it goes. I was debating on having it removed from my account and just being out the $31, but you showed me why I should also keep the game and I've learned both the up and down sides of it with just 20 hours of gameplay. Whoever says you need over 100 hours in this game to truly understand it is DEAD WRONG!

Like for example im a coli ok no hard feelings but I remember on tempest island when the Heavy 68mm was out like 5 wars ago I remember me and my buddy held a bridge (forgot which one) and we killed like 4 silver hands and 5 LTs than somehow we managed to hold our ground enough to get more ppl in and we managed to take the whole region with one push. And the funny thing is this story is one out of millions of stories that players have

YEEEAHHHH LOGI!!!!! I am a DEDICATED logi man, Scrooping, and running can be sooo stressful lol. I find it fun in the stress of trying to keep the base functioning, more than the actual combat. scrooping (game censored the "crap" from "scrap" so it became scroop lol) while watching shirts dwindle alarmingly fast, tring to get crates to the BB before it collapses. and after you deliver stickies and the "TWO TANKS!!!" marker disappears. feels SO GOOD to know your equipment helped.

Playing the game, I’ve found bringing up anything political can cause more issues than it’s worth, people tend to play video games to escape reality, people get angry when you pull them back to it, do I agree with either side of the political spectrum, short answer, no, does it matter in a community server or game, no, just roll with it, does the community suck? Yeah, fuck em, enjoy the game, ignore them and work with those who seem to have their head exposed to fresh air
Also, I don’t think that multiplayer sucks, it’s influencers that make poor examples that steer the community to suck, I used to like old faze, when they made cool montages, now their drama and shitty members pushed me away, kids and idiots still follow them and act like them, they are the problem, I hate toxic streamers, and unfortunately it seems like most of the foxhole streamers are toxic ass hats
