    I knew when you started with the Strip AND had the Arts District I would like this video. Most realtors & locals don’t know downtown neighborhoods in actual Las Vegas exist and like most locals…have no idea there are locals actually living on & around the Strip. I lived in a high rise off the Strip for 3 years (Turnberry Place) and loved it. Wanting a house again, we moved to my favorite area…the Vintage Vegas neighborhoods off Rancho….Rancho Circle, Rancho Bel Air, Rancho Nevada Estates, Scotch 80’s, Alta estates, McNeil Estates, etc. Like section 10, you get beautiful custom homes on huge lots with mature landscape and the option and security of guard gated communities as well where you don’t in Section 10. We just did not like the cookie cutter neighborhoods where all the homes look alike on tiny postage stamp lots in many of the areas you mentioned and the majority of all new builds today.

    Summerlin is massive, stretching north from Cheyenne all the way south to Sunset, and east to Hualapai. And every single neighborhood within this district is super clean. But as Olga stated, it's also quite pricey. Beautiful, but pricey.

    NW area is great area as well (where i live) near Lone Mtn and 10mins from RED ROCK Casino. However, the only bad part is the lack of restaurants but it's really quiet.

    The Strip is the LAST place I would put on any list to move to in Vegas. True locals stay as far away from the strip as we can. We avoid it like the plague.

      One of the things that did shock me when I moved to Vegas nearly 7 years ago…is how so many of the locals just stay out in the suburbs and wear the “I don’t go to the Strip” like a badge of honor. I can assure you, there are “True Locals” who live right on the Strip or a block or 2 off in beautiful high rises…and go to the Strip multiple times/week. Many casinos give high rise residents special memberships to get discounts off food & drinks too. There are also lots of locals living in or around downtown in beautiful neighborhoods that frequent the Arts District (my favorite part of Las Vegas)and the Strip a lot as well. I get if you have a family with school aged kids why many locals live in the suburbs, but not all locals like the suburbs. Vegas is also unique with there being so many areas around downtown & the Medical District where you can get a large custom home on 1/2 acre to 1 acre lots without having to go to the suburbs to find that like in most major cities.

    I lived in LV for 25 years and moved out of state 3 years ago . Olga, I assume, is an agent and she is painting the best picture possible of LV to sell houses , and there's nothing wrong with that . But before anyone gets too excited about moving to LV, I recommend you spend a full week at the very least, or more to scour the city at all times of the day, so you can see how the neighborhoods are , especially near the casinos and what the traffic is like . If you are a young hip gal like Olga and enjoy all that night life and the ultra expensive dining and shows, then you might like it near the Strip . Believe me, that life style gets old very quick . I lived in the NW part of LV and it was a more relaxed area (Desert Shores). All the areas Olga showed, you better be very wealthy to own, period. Olga never mentioned how blazing hot it gets in the summertime May-October, get ready for $500/mo A/C electric bills and if you have a beautiful patio, it's normally too hot to enjoy during the summer . Good luck .

      I agree with your comments. I have other videos on the channels outlining the pros and cons of living in Las Vegas and have more videos coming that will break down things like summer heat, costs in upcoming videos.

      @@LasVegasOlgaMoreno Thanks for the reply, I saw those videos you mentioned . I was really surprised that Desert Shores was included in your Top 8 Worst Areas to live in LV".
      Really ?? I thought DS was one of the nicest areas of LV , with lakes, fishing, boating, jogging, cycling, walking .There's crime all over LV, but all the years I resided in DS , crimes was very minimal there . Since I moved from LV, probably crime has increased . BTW, I know the Panorama Towers, I did a job there, if you are on the eastside, you have a great view of the Casinos, etc . , good location for all the nightlife action !!
      Cheers .

      $500 a month electric bills?
      I sure hope anyone moving or considering moving to Vegas knows you are flat out exaggerating.
      I have lived in Vegas 2014 and there is no freaking way my power bill never ever comes close to $500 monthly.
      All it comes down to as the renter/owner of an home here in July, is using some common sense, and sacrificing.
      In July and August, if I’m not at home, the A.C. Is off period, no exceptions.
      Once I get home, I turn on the conditioner for 30 minutes to an hour, cool it off, then off again.
      Turn off and on when needed.
      Anyhow trust me no renter electric should never be that high, it’s called sacrificing and toughening up.

    Is there a walkway from those apartments you live in to the strip or is it driving only?

    • @LasVegasOlgaMoreno
      @LasVegasOlgaMoreno  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a walkway for pedestrians. 8 minutes to walk to Vdara. 10 minute walk to Aria. 10 min to Cosmo. 12 minutes to Bellagio.

    Though the video is titled "Best Neighborhoods in Las Vegas," I'm glad it actually gives due credit also to Henderson, which of course is not Las Vegas. Maybe the title should refer to the "Las Vegas Area." Otherwise, great video. Full disclosure: I reside in Henderson and love it. It is on the list of safest cities in America and is renowned for its parks and recreational offerings, while only minutes from the Strip.

    Wow, I’m out here in La Jolla California right now. Can you expand on the potential cons with dealing with penthouses that are rentals as well?

    • @LasVegasOlgaMoreno
      @LasVegasOlgaMoreno  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! I'd say the biggest con of renting out your condo is that now you're entering in to a new business (the business of short term rentals). You have to manage the property yourself or hire a property manager which can be expensive when you only have 1 unit. Dealing with renters can be a headache! With that said, maintaining a residence in Las Vegas can offer a lot of advantages for Californians. If you want to chat specifics give me a call! 725-215-2154
