Fab video, Duncan, loved it. You defo got a good day for it. You captured the essence of walking in the Cairngorms beautifully. I’d recommend Glencoe area for your next Highland adventure!

Thanks, I know I was really lucky with the weather considering what it was like the week previous! Glen Coe is on the list, the views from Buachaille Etive Mor are supposed to be stunning.

Great trip 🙂How much time did it take with which map do you use or use the compass?

Hi, I think the whole hike took around 12 hours but that was at a steady pace. For all of my hikes I use the OS Explorer series, which I also use the same map downloaded onto my phone to use with the app and GPS tracking. I do however always carry the paper version and a compass as a backup 😊

      @@DuncanBaxter Hello Duncan ,
I am sorry that I ask so many questions, but I am a beginner, and a friend and I have been going on mountain expeditions recently.
last weekend we covered 12 km, it was great. Next to the Cow Green reservoirI want to buy a compass that you use, I want it to be reliable. Thank you 🙂

No problem at all, happy to help. The compass I use is a Silva Expedition 4, which is not cheap at approximately £30 but is highly approved by a lot of people, hope this helps and enjoy Cow Green, it is gorgeous up there in the right weather 😊
