- This video takes me on a trip to a new spot to try wild camping, but in a location I have hiked to before. I start off from the car and it isn't long till I reach my target, Benty Hill. Despite some overnight drama and in freezing conditions I still manage to complete what I set out to do which is to revisit a favourite location of mine, but where is it?
Summits achieved :-
Hartside Height 2947ft (624m)
Benty Hill 1998 ft (609m)
Kudos to you Duncan for embracing the weather, enjoyed the journey and the scenery you have shared with us.
Thank you, although it was definitely a challenge regarding the weather still enjoyed being out amongst that scenery 😉
Nice sound thanks for sharing your adventure. I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
Brilliant Duncan shame about your air mat but at least you got a decent kip 👍
Thanks, still don't know how I managed so long but I ain't complaining 😊
another good video duncan we enjoyed it me and my brother, but sadly no sooner he gets his knee back in action for hiking again he gets a blood disorder and ends up in hospital for a few days.hes home now but not fully fit yet so we will have to wait a while before we can trek the pennines again,he's close to 72 and me 75 nothing stops us from enjoying the beauty of the pennines.thanks for the views you gave us.
Sorry to hear he's still not fully recovered, hopefully it won't be long before you are hiking together on those mountains, the views will be waiting for you 😊
I've recently stumbled across your excellent channel Duncan, and am currently binge-watching in an attempt to catch up. I was admiring your backpack as it seems to sit nice and high above your shoulders. Would you mind sharing info please? Many thanks. Atb.
Thank you for watching, hope your binge watching is going well. Don't mind at all regarding the backpack, it's a Vango Sherpa 70:80, it's certainly large enough for what I need. Regarding it sitting nice and high the backpack has an adjustable back system and videos are available from the manufacturer regarding proper adjustment and fitting, hope this helps 😉
Very nice video. Thank you for sharing.
you done well to get a bit shut eye with a deflated mat . full replacement if its a thermarest 👍can you get to that pitch from croglin ?
Thanks, still have no idea how I managed it, unfortunately not a thermarest, wish I could afford one 😉 You could reach there from Croglin, it would be quite a trek...
got my bearings wrong thought you were looking east to west 😂 i usually get to gilderdale via black fell or slaggyford 👍 cheers
canny crack you take care marra.
Will do, still going 😊
New subscriber and respect for sleeping so well on't ground. Trekology mat???
Thanks for the subscription and watching, the ground wasn't too bad to be honest, I think the moss definitely helped. Yes you're correct on the brand of air pad, they are known for it...😉
