I have two fellow classmates who started in the FNP track and then joined up later in the PMHNP program, so I don’t think it is too uncommon for students to do this. WRT clinical rotations, I have worked with both a PMHNP and a psychiatrist. I am wanting to switch from FNP program to PMHNP, what are clinicals like? are you sitting in with the provider/preceptor?
