I love this car! I had a 1970 1.9L. I bought it in California and drove it to Minot N.D. where I was stationed in the Air Force. She worked like a champ during winters with temps in the low 20's. I restored it with new seats, wheels and dash cover. They are such fun to drive!
I owned a 70 in 1976. So much fun. It went where you pointed it and that was rare for the 70's. Just not enough horse power. I do remember it plowed through the snow better than any rear wheel car I owned.
I had one of these as a Senior in High School.Mine was a bit more orange.I bought it for $1,000 in excellent low mileage condition.I wish I had kept it.Alot of memories,My most favorite car ever.
Holden brought a couple of them in in 1970. They used to send them to dealers for dealer displays at local shows. I had a run in one at the Murwillimbah show after I was able to show the local dealer how to select reverse gear
I learned how to drive a stick shift with this car many many years ago. Sadly my father sold it years before he passed would love to one day drive one again :(
they ruined the new Mazda Miata RF and chopped it to look like the Opel. Mind you the Opel is perfect, the Miata was world car of the year 2016 not a targa top afterthought just to appeal to drivers who just had to get something close to a full hard top for sound an harsher climate conditions. Sorry the Miata is a true convertible period.
Beautiful I have owned a GT since 1973

Really nice video! I really love the design of these little cars. I'm glad it found an owner that loves it.
That's a very very nice example! I've owned 2 GTs, the last one for 17 years. I really enjoyed driving them. Thanks for posting your experiences.
Very cool to see. Beautiful example. Just picked up a project 1970 GT today.
I am getting one to restore and your video motivate me
