I love that jarring cut to Norman going "oh" before getting impaled. So funny. This one is my second favorite spider-man movie, the second one being my favorite. Sam Raimi did an amazing job on the first two movies. Even if he did some weird choices with the organic webbing and such.

I love how the machineguns on Goblin's glider don't seem to disrupt its flight, at all...their recoil, and rapid fire should be making that thing kick up, and over backward instantly.
I mean yeah the movies are hillarously cheesy but have you read any old school comic? They aren't literary masterpieces, they are full of cheap puns and low level english dialougue. The live action imitating that is paying homage and making it a bit more appealing to younger audiences.

I don't know how 'faithful' to the comics they were being. They replaced gwen stacy with the more prominant mj, killed off the green goblin in his debut movie, and swapped out peter's web shooters and electromagnetic stickyness with organic shooters and weird spider hairs. Still a really fun movie though.

I love how people don't really know how the Spider Sense works. The Spider Sense only activates if SpiderMan perceives a situation as dangerous. If he thinks he is trying to save an old lady in a burning building but it's in fact the Green Goblin, then the Spider Sense won't activate.
The Spider Sense is such a busted ability, no wonder they don't like using it in movies. How do you create suspense when your character has an Omni awareness of his surroundings? Even some comic book writers get it wrong.
Heck, even the writers don't know how the spider sense works (not even Stan Lee). Sometimes it acts like precognition, sometimes It's ultra fast reflexes, sometimes It detects danger nearby, sometimes it depends of what Peter thinks, etc. A bunch of moments in the comics have him going "I don't know who that person is, but my spider sense just went off.... I wonder why!" while the person is just sitting at a park. You can see how they progressively nerfed his powers through the decades, though. Except for the "Evolve or Die" event, but that didn't last long.
No, that's NOT how it works, it doesn't perceive what Peter sees as dangerous. It's a universal sixth sense that detects any danger to him, and as shown repeatedly, it can adapt to certain entities. Like how after wearing the black suit Symbiote, Venom and any other Symbiote spawned from his line are invisible to Peter's Spider-Sense, he WANTS to be able to detect the Symbiotes as they've been shown again and again to be some of Spider-Man's deadliest enemies but can't thanks to his experience wearing the alien goo. And usually the Spider-Sense reacts at close to last second to something happening, but since Peter's speed and reflexes are enhanced he can usually react fast enough.
You don't know it either, honestly noone does. Generally it senses anything despite Peter's awareness, excluding symbiotes, but if you look closely, writers tend to change it all the time. Back in the 60s it sometimes worked as a radar, go figure. Definitely the most bs power he has, fun nevertheless

I love watching these, except that I always forget that she rates them afterwards with extremely high standards.
For Ame, The Godfather Part II would be an 7.9 at most...
Only people with high standards know that this movie is way higher than that, she mostly just focused on the “cheesy” parts which is intentional.
@@almondmilkisgud7192 People with higher standards would look at the movie more critically and for what it is. I honestly think 6/10 is a fair rating surprisingly.

I love how people don't really know how the Spider Sense works. The Spider Sense only activates if SpiderMan perceives a situation as dangerous. If he thinks he is trying to save an old lady in a burning building but it's in fact the Green Goblin, then the Spider Sense won't activate.
The Spider Sense is such a busted ability, no wonder they don't like using it in movies. How do you create suspense when your character has an Omni awareness of his surroundings? Even some comic book writers get it wrong.
Heck, even the writers don't know how the spider sense works (not even Stan Lee). Sometimes it acts like precognition, sometimes It's ultra fast reflexes, sometimes It detects danger nearby, sometimes it depends of what Peter thinks, etc. A bunch of moments in the comics have him going "I don't know who that person is, but my spider sense just went off.... I wonder why!" while the person is just sitting at a park.
You can see how they progressively nerfed his powers through the decades, though. Except for the "Evolve or Die" event, but that didn't last long.
No, that's NOT how it works, it doesn't perceive what Peter sees as dangerous. It's a universal sixth sense that detects any danger to him, and as shown repeatedly, it can adapt to certain entities. Like how after wearing the black suit Symbiote, Venom and any other Symbiote spawned from his line are invisible to Peter's Spider-Sense, he WANTS to be able to detect the Symbiotes as they've been shown again and again to be some of Spider-Man's deadliest enemies but can't thanks to his experience wearing the alien goo. And usually the Spider-Sense reacts at close to last second to something happening, but since Peter's speed and reflexes are enhanced he can usually react fast enough.

You don't know it either, honestly noone does. Generally it senses anything despite Peter's awareness, excluding symbiotes, but if you look closely, writers tend to change it all the time. Back in the 60s it sometimes worked as a radar, go figure. Definitely the most bs power he has, fun nevertheless
