@@ShadeSlayer1911 Having superhuman abilities shouldn’t obligate him to spend his life helping a bunch of strangers for nothing but their gratitude in return.
@@JohnBrown-tw2qi That depends on your personal philosophy. Under some people's philosophies, yes, it absolutely does. Like Spiderman, "With great power comes great responsibility." MCU Spidey put it in a less catchy but also more explicit way. "When you can do the things I can, and you don't do anything to stop the bad things, those bad things happen because of you," or something like that. Under that philosophy, having the ability to do good but refusing to do it means you're the one allowing bad things to happen, and so that means a superhuman who is good absolutely is obligated, morally speaking, to spend their life being a superhero. Captain America has a similar outlook as well, though by the end of MCU Cap's arc, he kinda changed his mind. Outside of specific superheroes, there is also the saying "all it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing." One of my favorite things about this movie is how it doesn't really cast judgement on Metroman for his decision. I’m glad people are finally rediscovering the potential of this movie.
"...and there is no Queen of England."
Correct!
“There is no Queen of England.”
“Well, not right now…”
"NOOOOOO WALMART SUPERMAN!" this comment killed me.
A solid hic/10
She did the worst thing ever.. she read the chat while watching the movie, never do that.
The moment Ame realized the Bee Movie is a DreamWorks product is just lol
Thanks for the clip mate, it's a really entertaining one!
I'm still waiting for a sequel to this movie.
There's a made for tv sequel thing
@@Kaazikin Really?
Its already perfect tho
Its perfect as it is xD
@@prinnyhayate5517 It is perfect, which is why I want more.
Ame's giggles during movie watchalongs are a cure.
Bro: Come on man, The worst thing she could say is NO
Her: Do you REALLY think, I would EVER be with a guy like YOU?
This movie had more memes than I remember
I was waiting for this

16:57 nice to see Music Man has a confirmed fan
damn i just realize hal (titan) didn't even tap into the true power of his borrowed power like goddamn metro man just had gone to light speed or something and this "hero" is so slow compared to him
Metro man had his power since birth and Hal only had it for like a month or something.
This was a nice side-by-side vid of Ame watching Megamind. I remember watching it back and the day and finding it hilarious as a backward view of the superhero genre. IT's always nice to look at the perspective of the villain for once - and Megamind does remind me a bit of Gura in nonsensical behavior, apart from having a fish sidekick. The Ame rating for this movie is well deserved. Thanks for this video, boss! 🙏🙏
That is what the fish said also no because there is a fountain.
To be extra fair to Megamind Metrocitie had it coming why the hell did they let prisoners raise a baby
Probably a parody/riff on Batman villian Bane backstory
i absolutely love when you do these movie highlights. it must be a lot of work, more than most of us realize, do thanks a lot!
You are a boss, my esteemed colleague

Titan predicted the future, saying the Queen of England doesn't exist
Ka-el: Justice
Metroman:Chivalry
Homelander:Homocide
It's funny how creeped out Ame is of Hal, she's definitely met a guy like that before lmao
When the highlight reel is basically 1/3 of the movie.
MegaMind was one of the very few series in my childhood that stuck me as a classic. It was my most favorite movie, and it still is honestly. I'm glad Ame got to watch it!
The good thing about Megamind is that as a villain even when he fails it's entertaining. With hero movies they always have to succeed or else it feels like a failure.
“I thought I killed you!”
“Well…. HelloeverybodymynameisMarkiplier”
Ame's reactions in movies are always such a treat - her watchalongs are so fun
a version of superman whos not evil, out of control, and not even particularly cruel in the way he deals with villains, but one whos, just like, kinda a dick, like all the time. Very true to the way a person would act being that powerful all their life, and true to the way superman actually acts sometimes in the comics, except in this movie they actually acknowledge that.
Thing is there is 2 superman in this movie. Hal taking the role of the out of control force of nature
@@ununun9995 let's be clear, hal is *not* inspired by superman's character, he's his own character made expressly for this movie, and calling him a force of nature is way better than he deserves. Clown, maybe.
@@curvingfyre6810 clown or not, throwing an entire building is not a common thing+ the nerd becoming hero is a fairly common trope amongst super heroes, even superman in a way with his Clark Kent persona.
@@ununun9995 1, he didn't turn superhero, 2, that has nothing to do with what you called him before, 3 clark kent is a huge muscle bound farm boy, 4 what are you a hal fan incel or something?
@@curvingfyre6810 4. already calling me names? Right we're on internet. 3. The whole "random citizen being secretly a hero" was for the reader to identify with superman, this evolve into the nerd trope since the demographic is evolving look at modern comic super heroes. 2 a "force of nature" is also a trope when a character is seemingly undefeatable: super strength, tough skin and all this. A threat like the invicible Lion Herakles defeated. 1 Yes okay poor word choice.
oh my god... its so different now that we know she's a foley artist 3:35 she would compliment the audio production because she's worked on them
16:01 for the meme
Oh God he's dead-uh!
Fantastic cuts between Ame singing along with the movie to then just singing to herself in silence.
Sad that this movie was overshadowed by Despicable Me since they came out at around the same time.

Megamind is one of my favourite movies ever. Period. I watched it years ago when I was younger so a lot of things flew over my head, how I wish I could watch it all over again without already knowing everything
There is no queen of England is true now
I genuinely _love_ this movie. I had some, uh, issues in my life when I first saw it. I have bipolar disorder, I did stuff I'm not proud of before I was treated. I was also told "you have high potential", but I wasn't sure I could use it.
I loved how Megamind changed - first he _had_ to be evil, then he didn't _need_ to be evil and he _wanted_ to be good, then he just _became_ good. Really helped me, as silly as it sounds.
"Damn she got a fat head!"
I love you Ame oml.
"I made a gallon of dip."
"That sounds like fun. But not with other people around."
same
Metro-Man is such a good guy that he's actually been rooting for Megamind the whole time. What a pal.
Markiplier-man*) 😂😅
YEESSSSSSS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS even though i watched along live I still am gonna watch this. Totally forgot how many memes came from this movie, and just how good of a movie it is in the first place.
I just watched this last night lol. Wild how this movie has like 5 memes in one.
I imagine Amelia really felt Roxanne when Hal was going full incel mode on her.
She's even doing the thing where she predicts all the predictable stuff. That's crazy.
I've gotten so used to Mega Man farting I cant see the original scene as original anymore.
Ame is learning from this oh no guys she’s stronger now
After watching Bee Movie, Megamind was a great palette cleanser for Amelia.
I still can't believe they casted Markiplier as Metroman.
We have Smol Ame, and now we need MegaAme
My man has blessed us with another highlight
Wow... I still can believe this movie came out almost 12 years ago...
I keep coming back just to watch Ame's reaction. It's so cute when she gets all wushy gushy during the romantic/emotional parts
I really enjoy your watchalong summaries, thx form making them
I'm still waiting for someone to call Metroman Markiplier while reacting to this
I love this Movie and this cute and adorable Reaction,Megamind is one of my all time Favorite Movies,I love the Characters, the Story, the Villain, the Songs, and the Message about Choice,Purpose, the Twist, the Unpredictability, and making your own Destiny, not what others makes Us.
#TeamMegamind because he has a better music taste, I mean, since it's a movie about him he has more tracks to himself lmao
19:24 the part where Ame thinks Metroman farted was super adorable lmao
4:44 man, Ame really showing she's the detective of the group
Thanks so much for editing these! It's great to have a part of the watchalong experience put into one video. Ame watching Megamind is too fitting.
Omg, how is Ame able to guess the plot of the movie, everytime. She did the same thing back then during the Kung Fu Hustle watch-along as well. I didn't join other watch-alongs but I'm guessing she did the same thing with other movies.
She might have watched it already in real life... :|
