I jus ordered a Tarte Kit including the Sea foundation. So helpful to know someone who has the same skin tone as me❤ I just jump on you whenever I need some help
I like it more than the Clinique but it’s also less coverage. I think it’s about even with the Fenty one. Maybe slightly more coverage with this one than the Fenty one but either one is gonna be good!
Very few reviewers come close to how thoroughly you test new foundations, not to mention how incredibly current you continue to be! You’re becoming my go to when it comes to new foundation releases!! Big Hugs From Sunny Las Vegas 🤗💕
I used the brush that came with the foundation and hardly got any coverage at all. So I used the brush with the face tape foundation and it looks great! I'll try a different brush and try the foundation again before I decide to return it.
So I commented my first comment right before I started watching your video and as I'm at the 22 minute mark as I said combination of products matter. You got to look at what you're pairing with. Usually any type of silicone smoothing pore primer like the Tatcha silk Canvas OR the tarte smoothing primer is a great base for any foundation and then you can pick water or oil on top of that. Sometimes oil based foundations break down silicone based primers faster but I'm not surprised you had better results with the smoothing primer underneath. I'm so happy for you and I hope to hear from you soon!
I think I'll probably skip this foundation as it seems pretty similar to the Fenty Eaze Drop on a good day but it did look really great on you on both wear tests on day 2. Can I ask what powder you used to set your undereye? Was it the Too Faced Peach Perfect as well? I know you always mention your undereyes are a spot of concern for you, but I think they look really smooth. If you plan to do a Top 5 Powder category, I'd love to know about your fave undereye powders as well because not every powder that works on oily skin works under the eye. Again, thanks for the detailed review and wear test on this foundation, as well as some comparisons. Much appreciated!
Ok Steff. You convinced me. Not on the foundation, but to move to Texas 🤣 I live in Northern Lower Michigan and I've had the heat blasting, I think our high was 45 today lol. I wanna be neighbors 😁 I am seriously considering moving south or west. How do you like Texas? What parts are great to live in? I live in the sticks outside of a major city and still pay $1300/mth and I'm over it all 😍 Oh ya, even tho you weren't a fan, your skin is always GLOWING to the gods 😂💖
Ooh girl, think long and hard about that one. It’s already been in the high 90s here so the hellish heat is going to be a big adjustment for you. Texas has its advantages and disadvantages but word to the wise-the cost of living has risen dramatically here in all the metro areas due to everyone moving in from other places. Plus..the power grid has serious issues here. If we didn’t have family ties here I would definitely choose to live elsewhere.
@@gypsygirl4687 good to know, funny that's how I feel about MI but it's the opposite, always cold and dreary with my family here...But we never get sunshine except for Jun-Aug and it's so depressing! I love the heat, sun and beach. Is there a big difference btwn N and S Texas? I also have SADS from the lack of sunshine. If it could be July in MI year round, I'd be a happy camper but the sunshine is so important for mental health imo
Oh Danielle you won’t regret that move at all!!! Come on down! It’s always hot here lol! You would probably enjoy San Antonio the most. Austin is great but really crowded. Down here where I am at we are a few miles away from the border. The area is growing fast though so the Rio Grande Valley is always a great option with the beach an hour away!
@@SteffsBeautyStash thank you thank you thank you! I know it's hot, but I seriously need sunshine for my mental health. Would love to chat with you one day about all the "great spots!"
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup if you need sunshine then Texas is definitely the right place for you! It’s sunny more than it’s not here. There are lots of good things about Texas. I used to live next door in Minnesota so I’ve experienced both places. Now I live in San Antonio. I think if you could find a nice quaint Texas town that would be nice. But I second what Steph said, it sounds like you could use some sunshine so come on down!

I'm new to your channel and I love it! You try all the things I want to see and we have similar coloring. Fellow Texas girl here in Houston! I've been searching for teal eyeliner lately so I can't wait to see your eye look in the next video!
Welcome!!! Happy you found me!! I’m down here in the Rio Grande Valley. There is definitely a lot to watch here on my channel! I love trying new things!! Happy to have you here! 🥰
I really want to try this foundation, but I can’t find the ingredient list ANYWHERE!! I have super sensitive skin and I have to check the ingredients before I can purchase. Is there any way you can list the ingredients for us please?!
I'm so glad I found this video. I was watching QVC yesterday and I really really was interested in this foundation. I have very dry skin and I'm not sure if you know but your makeup combinations could be happening because of the way you mix your products. You really should look at oil versus water-based primers, foundations, concealers..Obviously oil and water don't mix. If you're going to use water-based primer use water-based foundation and concealer, if you're going to use silicone based primer than you can use oil based foundation and so on and so forth and then powder as you normally do. And I'm not trying to sound pretentious or put myself on a pedestal I'm just throwing out facts in case you weren't aware and if you are then great! These are just normal facts you learn in the makeup industry and cosmetology world as I was educated in and I really hope you don't get offended that I said all this 😳 I'm going to try this foundation because I'm very dry and this is a very thin water like foundation that has a decent coverage and most foundations on my skin will make my skin look even flakier than it normally is regardless of acid or hydrators or serums that I use for skin care. I still deal with flaky skin. It's just an issue that I'm dealing with right now but I'm really having high hopes up for this foundation. Somebody with dry skin like myself maybe should look at thicker more oily foundations but honestly I don't want to feel heavy and cakey so this looked like the perfect solution! I'm hoping it's thin enough that it won't disturb my flakiness. I've been using powders for the last couple months because powders honestly don't disturb my flakes too much.. And honestly I don't want to feel heavy and cakey. I used to put the whole mask on heavy primer heavy foundation heavy powder I looked like I had porcelain flawless skin but I was caked to the max. And a few years ago I decided to stop doing that and just focus on my eyes I'm so happy even though you know I don't look like porcelain beat anymore ..I feel better. Anyway great to find your channel let me know what you think of my thoughts. Thanks for letting me ramble! I really hope to hear back
Thanks for the info! Yes I am aware of all that, I just forget to check ingredients when I’m applying, so sometimes I end up with a not that great combo. I hope this works out for you! Enjoy it!
Hey Steff, you look ABSOLUTELY stunning & your earrings are very pretty. I still have to try the Fenty but I’m curious to hear what you think about this one from Tarte. Too bad you don’t like the brush but BK beauty will fix it up. 😂 I knew that before you said it. 😂 working hard to buy more makeup. 😂 it does look very pretty on you. OMG! It came off bc water splashed on it. Im not a fan of that. The 10 hour check in wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. That is great it is lightWeight but too bad you don’t like the wear after 10 hours. I have the NYX setting spray but I haven’t used it yet. Day 2 did look nicer to me too & I love that you do the 2 day wear test too so we can see how it pairs with different products. FW & great review. Have a great day
I really like the new hydrating shapetape.its great and has the same coverage as the other one.its not dry like the other rone.bjt you may like it cuz your oily.
That brush isn't nearrrr densely packed enough for foundation.I Love it!cosmetics "Love is the Foundation heart shaped brush".Its Kathleen, and Raw Beauty Kristi, and tons of others favorite brush to.It is just Amazing.
I really do enjoy Tarte. I did order it 🤦♀️ and I do have the same primer and the Too Faced Peach powder so I shall try your technique 😊 I’m still waiting on the Nabla tinted foundation I checked for it today and it just cleared customs in Jamaica so we will see when it gets to Texas lol Great Video and Review 😊
I'm so glad you got this to work for you because it looked gorgeous on the 1st application. This serum foundation is perfect for me I'm impressed by the added skincare too (although if they're near the bottom of the ingredients, that would be a bit rubbish). Looking forward to the dupes vid later today. It's 3.30 am here in the UK so I can't say "tomorrow's vid" 😂😂😂. 💗🌟💗
I really like 👍 how this looked on you even after the 5 hour mark on the first day. This I think will be on my radar. You should do a test wear with the Tarte light weight Hydro Serum and Fenty and see if there a dupe.
I was so intrigued for this foundation, looks beautiful, love all the foundations that contain skincare infused 🤩 looks like a winner , thanks for sharing bonita 🌷💕
This wasn’t even on my radar. It looks interesting, but I’m on a foundation no buy. I hardly even wear it nowadays, and already have way too many 😣 Skin-tints are definitely tempting me tho. As always thorough review Steff 👏🏼👌🏼
I have noticed that Tarte is making replacements for their original foundations. This hydro flex reminds me of the rain forest of the sea foundation. The new Amazonian clay replacement replaced the original I liked. Hoping the hydro flex doesn’t have a scent or this lady isn’t getting near it. 🤦🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️
Sounds like most of the serum foundarions would be good mixing foundation to help with shades that don't quite match or etc.with a good foundation tho.
Brush looks cheap! Not a better deal for 40 dollars from what I can see. Always need to be carefull with Tarte. Some brushes/eyeshadows are great, some not so much. If your looking for a decent brush with the foundation check out QVC! 😉❤
