i’ve made it a point to thank God everyday, changing my daily mantra from a sort of narcissistic phrase that to “thank you God for the blessings i’ve received and the blessings that are to come” and i think that has helped to remind me to put God first. there’s still more personal work to do of course but it puts me on the right path.
I don’t know how many times I’ve smiled through this video. This content is amazing and hearing y’all talk about God and the things he’s done for y’all. This video is inspiring and opening my eyes. I need to get back on track and work on my relationship with God. I love God but at some point I just gave up because I felt that he wasn’t hearing my prayers. And then when I have a problem people tell me to pray about it but I feel that I can’t because I haven’t prayed in so long. I feel that just praying to God about my problems is like me using him. I don’t know how to get back on track with my relationship with him.
You know what the best thing about God is? He doesn’t care how long it’s been and how you come to him. He loves us so much that He just wants to hear from us and connect with us no matter how far we think we have “strayed.” His love shows His grace because He’s not like humans who can’t or refuse to forgive. He loves you perfectly. Just talk to Him...honestly. Leave everything at His feet...all your concerns, frustrations, worries, doubts. He hears you and I promise He never ignores you.❤️

Josh and Isi, thank you so much for this video. I've wanted to do something like this but didn't really know how to put it into words. I've been married for a little over a year now and I'd say our communication is good. But to dive in even deeper into our relationship is something that we can both work on. It's so easy to be nonchalant with your answers as to how each other are doing. We gotta fight for our marriages because satan wants to easily destroy marriage, especially black marriages. Spiritual warfare is so real and as long as we keep God as the center of our relationships, we're going to make it. But it's a constant battle. That's why we have to stay prayed up, dive into the word of God, and fight fight fight for our relationships and marriages.
Communication is key. 💙🤎💚💛🤍🖤🧡❤️ I remember someone on my job who wasn’t from America mentioned that when Americans ask you how you are doing they don’t really want to know it’s just a form of greeting. I was like yeah she’s right people will generally expect you to say I’m ok or I’m good. Pretty sad y’all. I really miss Bible study my Pastor spoke about communicating and made it very clear how people in general are not good listeners. I find myself watching people now and I see it all the time where someone is speaking about a situation in their lives and the other person will turn it around and making it about them because they have a similar situation, but we have to learn to let them have their moment and it literally is not about you right now. Sometimes that person just needs an ear or they just may want to vent. Sit attentively respond when necessary and just listen. This was amazing Josh and Isi. Praying for your continued success and Relationship with the man above. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Oh and it’s also a good ideal for your mental health to ask yourself those questions (spiritual, emotional, mentally and physical) You don’t have to be in a relationship but just make sure you take care of self and be true to yourself especially in these times.

Sidenote- as a therapist in training (I graduate in May woot woot) who is passionate about mental and emotional health especially in communities of colors, it is so refreshing to see a Black couple embrace/share their feelings in such a healthy and loving way. i’ve made it a point to thank God everyday, changing my daily mantra from a sort of narcissistic phrase that to “thank you God for the blessings i’ve received and the blessings that are to come” and i think that has helped to remind me to put God first. there’s still more personal work to do of course but it puts me on the right path.
I don’t know how many times I’ve smiled through this video. This content is amazing and hearing y’all talk about God and the things he’s done for y’all. This video is inspiring and opening my eyes. I need to get back on track and work on my relationship with God. I love God but at some point I just gave up because I felt that he wasn’t hearing my prayers. And then when I have a problem people tell me to pray about it but I feel that I can’t because I haven’t prayed in so long. I feel that just praying to God about my problems is like me using him. I don’t know how to get back on track with my relationship with him.
You know what the best thing about God is? He doesn’t care how long it’s been and how you come to him. He loves us so much that He just wants to hear from us and connect with us no matter how far we think we have “strayed.” His love shows His grace because He’s not like humans who can’t or refuse to forgive. He loves you perfectly. Just talk to Him...honestly. Leave everything at His feet...all your concerns, frustrations, worries, doubts. He hears you and I promise He never ignores you.❤️

I feel like not only am I entertained, but im growing from it and usually i feel like social media/youtube can just be pure entertainment only, which is fine, but sometimes i feel it can actually not help me grow by just being a distraction or actually detract from life in areas, but i really do feel like yall give the best of both worlds....entertainment + growth/leveling up. Josh and Isi, thank you so much for this video. I've wanted to do something like this but didn't really know how to put it into words. I've been married for a little over a year now and I'd say our communication is good. But to dive in even deeper into our relationship is something that we can both work on. It's so easy to be nonchalant with your answers as to how each other are doing. We gotta fight for our marriages because satan wants to easily destroy marriage, especially black marriages. Spiritual warfare is so real and as long as we keep God as the center of our relationships, we're going to make it. But it's a constant battle. That's why we have to stay prayed up, dive into the word of God, and fight fight fight for our relationships and marriages.
Communication is key.

I remember someone on my job who wasn’t from America mentioned that when Americans ask you how you are doing they don’t really want to know it’s just a form of greeting. I was like yeah she’s right people will generally expect you to say I’m ok or I’m good. Pretty sad y’all. I really miss Bible study my Pastor spoke about communicating and made it very clear how people in general are not good listeners. I find myself watching people now and I see it all the time where someone is speaking about a situation in their lives and the other person will turn it around and making it about them because they have a similar situation, but we have to learn to let them have their moment and it literally is not about you right now. Sometimes that person just needs an ear or they just may want to vent. Sit attentively respond when necessary and just listen. This was amazing Josh and Isi. Praying for your continued success and Relationship with the man above. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Oh and it’s also a good ideal for your mental health to ask yourself those questions (spiritual, emotional, mentally and physical) You don’t have to be in a relationship but just make sure you take care of self and be true to yourself especially in these times.

I've been binging all day catching up with vlogmas lol! Isi and Josh thank y'all soo much for being so vulnerable and open with us. I can literally feel the love radiating off the screen it warms my heart to see Black folks in true love, I'm so excited to see everything else in store for y'all. Sidenote- as a therapist in training (I graduate in May woot woot) who is passionate about mental and emotional health especially in communities of colors, it is so refreshing to see a Black couple embrace/share their feelings in such a healthy and loving way. Knocking the negative mental health stigma out with every Sunday check in. I just love to see it!
