@@cp-overview 😂😂😂 Colin. I was up all night due to flaring in many joints due to my Rhuematoid, I'd barely opened my eyes and saw your notification for your video. Have a good one mate 👍
Leaning into the wind, eh, Colin? I wasn't expecting a drone update over the last 24 hrs bearing in mind the weather. Well done. PoI reminders: there are new 'graves' dug in between the wind baffles on the South Concourse (7:22 mins)(my guess is for benches but we shall see) and there is now only a narrow vehicle gap in between the lengths of north perimeter base wall, where equipment is still being used by the contractors finishing the laying of granite at the NW corner of the East Plaza (4:35 mins).
I was there to pick my other drone up I had lent someone and the wind had dropped slightly so managed to produce this rushed effort. Ten minutes later it was back to being un-flyable
aq: Exactly so. It will have been taken away and treated, at the very least, IF they have used any of it. There are also some additional aspects to consider: 1) whether the grade of sand grain particle-size (fineness/coarseness) is ideal for pitch underlay so, at the very least, it may have had to be mixed with other sand, IF any of the water channel sand was re-used after treatment and 2) a broad-brush calculation would suggest the volume of sand removed from the water channel far exceeds the volume required across the pitch, so the excess will have had to be removed from site anyway. My guess is that the water channel sand has or is going to a sand specialist firm as inventory exchange for pre-prepared and treated sand that the pitch specialists specify.
It appears that the orange ducting that was visible above ground outside the SE corner/bench has now gone which I guess will allow for the completion of the paving in that area.
Can you have a look at the North Stand expansion joints next time you’re there? For me they still looks odd or unfinished, so wondering if there’s more work to do with them
Morning Colin 🫡... The sand used for the pitch is not the same sand used in the waterway..!! It's a different type used for the new semi artificial grass as it has to have a certain chemical balance to be of the highest grade to encourage and knit together the seeding and knitting of seeds of the grass that is used for the 'New Synthetic Hybrid Grass' that is now being used in alot of Stadia for quality grass control..!! I found this out by investing online about what goes into the formula of the new hybrid pitches as most top end completions and tournaments are leaning towards incorporating this type of pitch these days as it a really high quality standard and as had rave reviews overall 👍
Thanks Colin.
Thanks Colin, they were still great images. Lovely with that sunset coming across from the river. 👍

Easily done, try saying “good morning” on commentary when your recording it the night before releasing it in the morning🤣

@@cp-overview 👌.
doubt the sand from the water channel would be pitch underlay - surely it would still have too high a salt content, it would probably kill the grass.
Amazes me that people think it should go on the pitch to be honest. Clearly it would be prepped sand especially designed for grass roots to use

Lokks great but it appears the roof is still leaking water at all the expansion joints in each corner of the ground.

I thought it had, but as I hadn’t zoomed in on that area I didn’t commit to saying as the trolls do like a mistake 🤣🤣🤣
@@cp-overview Oh no we don't!!
A good spot, Jay. I'd got so used to it being there, I never looked closely.

@@davidbadcock2225 Oh no they're not!!
WIll the gaps at the bottom corners of the roof where it slopes inwards be filled by more metal barrel segnebts eventually or no??

I think there’s more work to do there because rain appears to be falling down onto the seats below
At 03:40 has Bigfoot been walking on the sand?
