    Hi Colin, a great video again. But some points for your next video. Firstly obviously, there is now water in the canal, Secondly they have started putting numbers up above the turnstyles in the NE corner,Thirdly they've put new seating in the SE corner with what looks to be barriers in from of them. And fourthly it looks like some barriers are put in on the VIP section on the West stand where there are currently no seats installed.

      @mikeoglen6848 Judging by where they are all placed, I think it's going to look incredible. All the blue lights under the barrel cladding on the East & West stand. All the street type lights on the fan plaza are nicely spread out and the floor lights on the mezzanine shining up the brick facade will look the part. It's going to be a great sight for all the cruise ships coming in at night 👌🏻

    you can really see the height difference in the 2 roofs (rooves?) when you zoom in at 4:46 on the North stand/East stand expansion gap. The plastic sheeting looks like it's unsecured at it's edge, at least on the front of the east stand - that's going to let water underneath it if (when!) the wind lifts it, so I assume they must be working at it still and will be adding some kind of fixing to hold it down and get the water to run down the roof covering to the gutters.

      aq: quite. It IS a little baffling as to why they have clearly not made them affixed to ensure water-proofing YET. I can only assume that they are waiting until the last possible logistical and engineering moment for any final, final, settling to have happened.

      I was there early morning, not sure what time Nick(mr drone) was there but it wasn’t done then either so I would guess it happened late afternoon.

    I would suggest a plastic flexible concertina joint would stop leaks and look good. I think we obsess about the roof owing to it being drone footage. Did anyone bother with Goodson's roof? Chelsea's roof is totally covered in green algae

    • @billyboy6467
      @billyboy6467 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not obsessed with the roof , just the thought of having a seat under the expansion joints, or even any seat in the first 5 or 6 rows from the edge of the pitch on a rainy day.

      Hi, John. Those plates have flexible, thick, black plastic sheets attached to them already, so it IS a little baffling as to why they have clearly not made them affixed to ensure water-proofing YET. I can only assume that they are waiting until the last possible logistical and engineering moment for any final, final, settling to have happened.

    At 13:45 - it looks as though the South Stand curve on the South East corner is almost complete, and There's just some trim to add to the edge now.

    Colin, good to get another update. Thanks.
    PoI's:
    1) At 1:26 mins I was wondering If you were going to zoom in 4+ groups-of-5 spotlights in the NW corner mounted on the front top rails of the walkway that goes right around the stadium through the trusses, seeing as how you've tried to look at them for someone and it's a question that keeps cropping up.
    2) At 6:00 mins, it looks as though they've 'laid' stones on the sand at the south end of the water channel.
    3) At 10:03 mins I was trying hard to zoom in to see if the aluminium panels that will be attached to the ends of the underside of the South Stand Viewing Gallery are being stored on the SW quay of Nelson Dock, as the barrel-cladding once was. I can't see anything that might be them.
    4) Yes, at 11:02 mins you have focused correctly on one of the 'graves' dug that have now been filled with concrete and three fixings inserted, presumably for a bench. The same can be seen in between each pair of '+ shaped' wind-baffle frames along the balustrade running parallel with the Nelson Dockside.

      Re: Point 4 The Wind Baffles: Is it really so windy at this location that Wind Baffles are necessary? I would've thought the whole superstructure of the Stadium itself would be enough protection from any wind...?

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikeoglen6848Mike, the baffles are required to reduce the wind tunnel effect along the South Concourse under the Viewing Gallery. The pre along wind is from the South West, I.e. from the hexagonal Victorian Clock Tower across Nelson Dock. It could be quite exposed until Peel Group develop Liverpool Waters properly.

    They seem to be preparing a wide roadway on the North side. Will this be used for vehicular access ? It seems very tight between the trees and the Old Pump House?

    • @cp-overview
      @cp-overview  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes vehicular access is down the North side, it probably just looks deceiving and I’m positive it has been made wide enough

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mike: How are you doing? I know you've been a long-time observer and will have seen plenty of previous affirmations but it still bears repeating: the roadway is about 5m wide at it's narrowest point, which is the under the North Stand overhang. A motorway lane standard width is 3.65 m and a lorry/TIR/coach is about 2.6m wide. The whole site, never mind the north perimeter access, is a lot larger than the perspective from a drone may make it appear.
      The low concrete wall being formed along the north perimeter is to hold the continuous fencing at the north perimeter and UU's boundary
      Vehicles will enter the southern of the North Tower Gates to the Security Hut, pass through the barrier, travel directly between the Pump House and the Columnar Elm trees and pass under the North Stand overhang (the outer 2/3rds of the width, i.e. next to the inside of the black steel post bases).
      The specs, dimensions and stats don't lie but perspective can deceive.

      @mikeoglen6848 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davidbadcock2225 Hi, david, I'm doing great , thanks. Of course I will defer to your superior knowledge of the site. It could be the camera angles but it does look very tight and with there being what looks like a wide Boulevard being constructed I wondered if large vehicles accessing the ground might be able to use it, that's all.

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikeoglen6848Good that you're well. No deference required. There's no boulevard being created. The North Perimeter concrete base wall is only just outside the line of the North Stand overhang at the NNE corner so there isn't a vehicle's width between the black steel protective bases and the perimeter base there. The concrete wall does diverge slightly as it travels westwards but not enough to be used for vehicles. I think you've seen the temporary concrete barriers and posts that are on UU's land.

      If you're asking where do cars park, then I need to inform you that only a handful of VIP's, Directors, Stadium Staff and Disabled Drivers will be able to park on the West Quay on matchdays. Quite a bit of space to the south of the DNOC (aka: Media centre) will be allocated to the Outside Broadcasters vehicles. It's less than a hundred spaces even on non-match days.
