PS! If you’re digging my music tracks- I’ve been sourcing mine from Musicbed for over five years now. I've found myself now officially as a "friend of the brand" which I'm feeling all kinds of ways about! I'm such a fan haha. It’s where I first found a track that would shape one of my whole edits that one time (Prince of Spain, anyone??) Anyway, check them out if you’re interested! fm.pxf.io/elina
Wow, but you are SUCH a good story teller! I deeply admire the way you always manage to weave people, nature, and your own experiences into the stories you tell. Your camera angles, your music selection, and your timing are all superb. Thank you for sharing your stories with the world!
Masterful & crisp storytelling. I had no idea Fukushima was so beautiful and that there is active rebuilding efforts. Thank you for bringing attention to this area.
I have been following your journey since your first videos! So excited every time you post 🥰 And I only recently discovered Christine Thürmers story and am going to one of her talks in 2 weeks. It feels so wonderfully random to see that you have spent time together 😄
Thank you for sharing your experience with me. The way you capture the beauty and emotions and share them is so amazing. Awesome. Thank you truly!! I was so absorbed it seemed like only a minute.
The Fukushima Coastal Trail and Michinoku Trail are high on my list. Japan is such an underrated hiking destination. Did some of my favorite hiking there.
This was a beautiful video and message, thanks for telling their story and bringing us along on the hike. And also super exciting to be living in Japan, can't wait to see more of your experiences!
Wooooow! I didn´t expect to see Christine Thürmer in this video. I met her 2008 on the Appalachian Trail somewhwhere in Maine. We chatted in english for quite a while until we found out that we are both from Germany/Berlin...hahaha. Loved this video and the interviews. One more reason to visit Japan!
Masterful filmmaking as always. What an interesting disaster recovery project - placemaking through slow movement. Also, leveraging hiker community patterns to help local community recovery. Thanks for sharing. I hope the trail is really successful.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world! I personally visit Fukushima every year since the earthquake occurred. This place illustrates the relationship between humanity and nature, or Shizen.

'Higher than the birds up in the trees.
Farther than the human eye can see...'
As track number 1 of Tip Taps Trailmix always with me when I'm hiking ❤

Another magical film. As always 😊
That was a great ending shot to finish a fantastic movie. Thanks for sharing.

50 minutes too short for me Elina, but a beautifully composed piece! Welcome back ❤

Appreciate you!!
また日本のtrailを歩いてくれたんですね、ありがとう😀
you can walk in Pantura.. from Merak, to Banyuwangi..and see interesting things..
so beautiful!!
Definitely missed your hiking content!
I wonder how you can get people to express their opinion comfortably, thanks for sharing with us, you must have a million views.
Even though it makes sense, Christine Thürmer in one of your videos isn’t a cross over I would have expected!
We need an extended ambient 3 hour version pretty please 🙏🏼
SHES BACK!
I noticed myself genuinely smiling while watching this 🤍
Beautiful video, have dropped a sub.
Cool Elina in the land of your Māma
Lovely video! Is the trail open to cycle touring as well? Given it is mostly roads, it seems like a logical fit as well
Yes! Cycling is a super viable option, also would be a lot of fun (and alllll of the onigiri)
Not unlike Shinrin Yoku? Or perhaps related? Forest Bathing? Taking in the forest atmosphere? BTW, what a GREAT VIDEO.
Very nice. Have you kept up your addiction to peanut butter in Japan? Or have you adapted to local snacks?
*immediately* looks at flights to japan
Whoooooooooohoopoooooo🤩✌️
Cool. Are these guides with Walk Japan or independent?
This one was organised with the FCT! But you can do either :)
I did not expect to see German Tourist here :D
All of your hikes are on The Pacific Ring of Fire.
Wait.. there is more than vending machines in Japan???!
