I did this with just command and i stacked piggy banks and just was very careful with the first stage teleporter boss. Once the teleporter event was over enemies stopped spawning so i just left the game open for like 2 hours and let my piggy banks accumulate money for xp.
Prophet's Cape (green) and Shield Generator (orange) are must-haves too. Prophet Cape blocks 1 hit on a cooldown, it counts as not being hit as well. So it gives you a sort of safety cushion. Same with Shield Generator, getting hit while invincible doesn't count. I honestly just turned on Glass/Command, got those 2 items, sat in a corner, and mindlessly held Z until it was done. Miner has enough damage and knockback that you really don't need to be so afraid of enemies.
bro I just enabled the kin and command artifacts, reset till stone golem, climbed the first rope I saw and keep spamming the disposable missile laucher till lvl 10 It took 12 minutes.
i've seen a couple guides about challenges that require you to not get hit (this one, huntress ancient wisp, commando stage 3 etc), and i've noticed that no one mentions prophets cape being a goated pick up for these. idk why, but a garunteed free hit that doesnt do damage is always good for these, and to my knowledge (having done the huntress and commando challenges), getting hit with prophets cape doesnt fail the challenge
while that is true it's really not that much harder to set the damage taken to that and makes it quite obvious if you get hit or not because sometimes some damage can fly under the radar

I use basically the same strat but I choose not to activate the teleporter to avoid the elite enemies with blazing or overloading

Also, take the wallet, it gives you more exp before teleporting to the next scene.
It is very similar to the no hit commando one, cause that is what I did for this one
just hosted a mutiplayer game and sat back and relaxed while the xp came to me
you dont have to set the damage taken to 999%, the challenge states youre allowed to get hit only once
