Nice video. I recently bought a 2012 forester, and have been looking into the subaru line-up. It's always interesting to hear the experience of someone who owns one for a while, and not just that of someone who just bought one. Having a car for a day or week, versus 3 years makes a difference. I'm sorry you didn't opt for another subie, but maybe in the future. Also I hope Subaru listens to customers who complain about the screen, is a big factor in me getting another subie, I don't want a big screen to do everything.
Great video. I also have a 2022 Wilderness Edition. Service wise I had none of your issues at all in the same time I've had it. My one issue that they discovered about a year and a half in was that that there was a tiny leak in the turbo which they identified was actually from the factory. Was completely fixed under warranty. We were also leasing, decided to buy it out. My kids are 10 and 11. The plan is hopefully to give it to them when they 18 or so. It'll be 13-14 years old by then. Of all the Subaru's that have been released since, I think mine is still better. None of the new ones have anything I would want that this one doesn't have. Except wireless Carplay for iPhone.
@@Envaris Happy to hear that you have great experience with your Wilderness! It’s a very cool and capable car. Honestly, it felt pretty said saying goodbye to this car after many adventures and great memories
Purchased my first Subaru in December…2025 Outback Wilderness. In part I purchased it because of reliability. I hope I don’t experience any of the same or other issues. I think the Pilot and Outback are in many ways very different. Cheers
I consider wagons with extra clearance to be more practical than SUVs. But the options here in the US are limited. There is an Audi a4/a6 allroad, but it's too pricey and servicing costs a lot. Volvo V60/V90 Cross Country - even more pricey. Subaru Outback - screen, fuel economy, and CVT/turbo engine reliability are questionable. Finally, we have Toyota Crown Signia - it's a new - 2025 model, but the powertrain parts have been used in other models and pron to be super-reliable. The downside is you can't buy it used for a lower price. But it's a hybrid, so the mpg is 39/city 37/highway 38/combined. 600 miles on 1 full tank. So, for now, it's my favorite.
@@blueback21 Honestly, I like it a lot. It’s very simple and basic so it’s easy to work on it. But at the same time very comfortable to drive and very spacious inside
One of the reasons I bought my 2024 Forester Wilderness over the 2025 (which the Wilderness isn't available yet) is that big iPad type screen. I wanted those physical buttons you spoke about for AC and such.
@@subiesojourner777 You made a good choice! I really liked the big screen from the start because it looked cool but later on I realized that it’s not that practical and helpful
Suggestion: being a car review you should put videos and pictures at least of the car instead of you in front of the camera most of the time showing your room 😂
Pilot after Outback? It was not your car, Subaru all about fun and safety at the same time (yes, even non-turbo). And Pilot is all about... I don't know... people who need a school bus to bring kids and bags and be safe cause you in the Bus. These cars totaly different in filosofy of owners. About problems with pan and brakes. Keep you self and your friends as far as posible from services you visited if you did any recommendation that they told you. If you didn't then it's your fault. I have had 10 years exp in service and racing. Subaru/Toyota always run like new when service knows what to do with these cars.
Great videos, man! I use your videos as inspiration. I'm getting ready to go car camping in the next couple of weeks.
Keep up the good work!
@@VNVArt Thank you and I really Appreciate it! Where are you going camping?

@@nobody_kn0wz The MPGs you getting sounds truly amazing! How’s the ride and comfort overall?
Great review 👏
Pilot is a good choice. My recommendation is a 2G Sequoia, if you get bored with the Pilot.
