My name is Dalton. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Drum Island, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as a royal guard for the Drum Kingdom, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest.

I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

What I find just as interesting is what would happen if the Pleasures ate a Rumble Ball (or anyone who ate a SMILE and didn't get powers for that matter). If there is any result, most likely they would either gain the SMILE powers or the laughing would be even worse.
i'd bet that rumble balls or an altered version will be the cure to smiles.

@@Robo-xk4jm your right about everything there except sugar. Sugar is not classed as a drug but I agree the reactions and withdrawals from it is very much like a drug and yes it may get changed in the future to a additive drug but we're not there yet
the moral of the story in one piece is drugs shorten your life span so i guess roger most likely took drugs thats why he died so young and luffy also took his fair share of steroids so they are not so different from hordy jones

@@kylehills8731 Then you'd have to include sex and gambling, as well as a host of things. Sugar is just a chemical that our bodies value so much as a cheap energy source that it has shaped our psychology where as most drugs aren't that intrinsic to our evolution. It's too useful to our bodies to be considered a drug IMO. But it is however something I we really should treat as luxury and not a every day food additive.

It seems that they do become more powerful as time goes on. I do feel fit to state that apparently according to Ulti that attack was not as powerful as it is when Kaido uses it although it certainly hurt her a lot.
If it was Kaido delivering that attack she wouldn't be getting back up that quickly if at all.

People forget Robin snapped Pell's neck and spine in 2 places and left him a crumpled ball while kidnapping Vii before Pell even took a "Nuke to the knee"....... He was fine a few hours later

@@trevorroberson8052 True, if I recall correctly Kaido had to hold back his strength to keep from killing Luffy when he used that attack. Luffy is rather durable himself, so that says a lot.

yeah, i really liked the unnatural aesthetic of the pre time skip point designs. It fit the whole premise of the rumble ball really well.
Though they wouldn't make much sense anymore since chopper doesn't need the rumble ball for his transformations anymore. Plus they were probably changed cuz one of the editors pushed oda to make the designs more cute for merchandise purposes. It is chopper were talking about after all so it isn't out of the question

Also, I personally believe that Chopper's Rumble Balls are designed to interfere with the wavelength of his fruit specifically. Though if he put his mind to it, he could develop ones for others or perhaps all purpose.
To be fair, we can’t know what happens if other devil fruit users are capable of using the rumble ball the same way as chopper, or what would happen if a non- devil fruit users were to take one, as we have never seen them being tested on anyone else. We certainly can’t rule out the possibility it works with other users. But I guess we’ll know if they meet Vegapunk.
If you think about it, for the paramecia users we saw with awakened powers (Doffy and Katakuri) they were also able to further use their "normal" abilities (inside the body, producing fire and so on) maybe that is something necessary before one can unlock awakening. By comparison, Zoan users should be able to better control their powers, unlocking new stages, before acquirind Awakening right? That would explain why Chooper is now able to use 6 forms without de Rumble Ball and could also relate to CP9's Semei Kikan or, as Chopper call it, Bio FeedBack, where one gain total control of it's body. Gaining full control of the body before unlocking it's full potencial, this could be the "motto" of Zoan Devil Fruit. Well, at least it would be interesting having Kaido or the All Star with more forms than the convencional.

Rumble balls are used to enhance zoan type fruits. Chopper has human human fruit and because of the ball he can access the other forms of it. It's purely just an enhancer. Basically steroids for zoan users. I wonder how Kaido will be if he ever used it.

I've always thought of Rumble Balls as being temporary activators of Devil Fruit Awakenings but with certain drawbacks which decrease as you get stronger and closer to actual Awakening.

Yeah exactly. And vegapunk has developed a similar drug. That's why impel down has 4 awakened zoan users, who clearly are in permanent zoan form and have no control of themselves. The "mindless beasts" only obey them because they were tamed via pain by sadie.

This has been one my biggest ongoing theories about Chopper for years, mostly since the timeskip. Especially when I found out about Kaido's army of beast men, both actual zoans and artificial fruit ones and realized the rumble balls can potentially 'unlock' the broken zoan fruits and massively boost Kaido's army.
Not to mention far less scrupulous people than Chopper abusing the monster-point type balls, even to the point of willingly killing themselves to pull an AoT giant attack in the middle of major towns. Plus I just realized if Chopper made the Rumble Balls to work with his fruit, the Human-Human Fruit, wouldn't that potentially mean that they're attuned to work with humans in general?

It baffles me that Chopper, a furry animal, never tried to learn Seimei Kikan which is that hair manipulation technique used by Kumadori. Heck how is his Kung Fu Point not able to use types of martial arts like Blue Gilly's Jai Kun Do or the Chinjoa Family's Hasshoken. I also think it would have been perfect for each of his points to grant him access to one of the rokushiki techniques.

That's something members of CP have trained their whole lives for or someone whose already skillful in martial arts can get it down relatively quickly. Even with Kung Fu point I don't see that happening.

In the beginning when chopper went monster point he would lose control but after the time skip he was able to stay in control but he would still be unable to do anything after because his fruit wasn’t ready to awaken.

Another small creation is one we have seen since the near beginning and has radically improved. The Muggy Ball. Version 1 was said to be able to wreck a whole town. Version 2 he was able to compact it and make mini versions of it. Can you imagine if they were made even smaller, to say the size of gun ammo. Being able to shoot these off in mass, one after the other from a line of marksmen. The devastation would be similar to a mini buster call.
I like the idea that Vegapunk can artificially awaken a Devil Fruit, but Choppers rumble balls are a better version

I was looking through the comments in case someone said exactly this
I always pictured the Rumble Ball would be like the key to improving the SMILES trade. Like Ceaser gets a cover story serial of him on the run and at one point when backed into a corner he uses a Rumble Ball recipe as a gambit. He did spend quite a lot of time with Chopper working with chemicals so it wouldn't surprise me if at some point he saw Chopper making a batch or reversed engineered the recipe from his files and lab equipment. This puts Ceaser Clown back on top, maybe he partners up with Buggy Clown because Buggy is now a distributor from his time as a Warlord.
Buggy might actually become the next "Joker" of the underworld after Doffy.

Doesn't work like that. The 2 devil fruits will conflict with each other and cancel out. Blackbeard has a special method of harmonising the 2 fruits that hasn't been revealed yet, Brook would die if he ate 2 fruits because they would conflict and not activate and at the same time destroy him from the inside out.
I think vega punk could show up at the end of wano arc with a cure for everyone who has been affected by the artificial devil fruits.

Here's my idea of post-Wano Bounties
Luffy 3.956B for "defeating" Big Mom twice and then Kaido, just below Shanks to complete this theme of them meeting as equals
Zoro from 500M to maybe 2B, depending of how much he gets credited for taming Enma, having super advanced armament haki, hopefully revealing Asura/scarred eye, defeating King and Kaido, hopefully taking Nidai Kitetsu as well, maybe even his time training under Mihawk
being a known fact somehow or being believed to have slayed dragons and surpassed Ryuma
Nami if she is known to have "robbed" Big Mom of Zeus and maybe Prometeus, could go around 160M-360M, maybe get credited for other stuff like leading the women of Wano or being a full kunoichi herself
Usopp could go anywhere from 400M to 2.2B just for more Godly gags and king of snipers related jokes
Sanji either same as Zoro or sliiiiightly lower, just for gags and for "defeating" Big Mom and her crew after he joined and escaped them, tamed her with his cooking skills, is now a public member of Germa66 with an invisible raid suit, super powerful (not necessarily advanced) observation haki, diable jambe, and the Okama Recipes we have yet to see but might play a part in restoring the people of Wano's health. Given the previous numbers, I'd guess around 777M
Chopper, either 150, 200 or 1000, for sure
Robin, since the World Government seems to try to keep her bounty low to not draw attention to the fact she can read poneglyphs, might go maybe to 330M to maybe 444M (death death death in japanese) or 666M (the number of the beast) to make some reference to the Demon Child
Franky, I would expect some sort of development with Franky Shogun and his parts plus the Sunny and a full display of power in the battle, maybe even awakening armament haki or defeating a crucial enemy like Queen, I'd say 500M to 800M
Brook, depending of how much credit he gets for defeating Apoo, and I want to see him clash against Queen (Soul and Funk?), have some sort of Soul Clash with Big Mom (maybe thats how Nami gets Prometeus... just saying...) or using his music to tame down the Beast Pirates and then nurturing back to health the people of Wano, maybe using his ice powers to defeat some lizard-theme Tobbi Roppo, I'd go anywhere from 330M to 660M - or at highest 800M-ish
Jinbe is really hard to measure. Going by the current set up, maybe even higher than Zoro due to "defeating" the Big Mom Pirates while leading the fishmen, then coming to Wano to repeat process on the Beast Pirates and being something of a commander-tactician during the war, so anywhere from 800M to 2B
ASSUMING any of these people join...
Carrot, maybe a joke like Chopper for 10K or something like 70M, first bounty and her Zoolong might not be recognized as her, or it might
Momonosuke, either none or something symbolic for the True Shogun Of Wano, head of the clan that created the poneglyphs, voice of all things, owner of Ame No Habakiri, 1M, 10M, 100M, something symbolic and simple
Kinemon, 80M up to 250M-ish, for being the leader of one of the battle fronts, leader of the scabbards, fire cutting, "a powerful samurai from Wano, the leader of samurais", master mind of the 20 year long Yonko assassination plan, master of disguise with his devil fruit, etc
Yamato, if just for symbolic meaning, anywhere from, 100M (symbolic for a first bounty) 110M (being the 11th crew member total, finishing the cycle), 888M (as a reference to harmony and 8s looking like the infinite symbol), 99M or 999M (finishing a cycle)
If a serious bounty, no less than 1B but no higher than 2.3B (half of Kaido)

With that whole thing about taking years off Luffy's life I wonder if there will be a parallel to Roger in the end. Maybe the lengths you need to go to in order to become pirate king are what usually ensures you won't hold that title for too long. I dunno, but you mentioning that made me wonder how that plot point will play out.

TH-cam algorithm doesn't really care that much about splitting dislikes and likes - it's all engagement and used to make videos visible for more people. For a channel, a dislike is better than nothing.

Honestly a conversation between Usopp, Chopper, Franky, and Vegapunk would be lit AF. Imagine them all comparing their individual inventions: Usopp with both Kabuto and the Ultimate Climtact Baton, Chopper with the Rumble Balls and potentially a cure to the SMILE effect, Franky with all his BF inventions and designs and Vegapunk with ALL HIS CRAZY SHIT
This video is really crazy to think about, there is a point that tekking mentioned which made me think.
Modifying the recipe so he can control his awakening on toreno island.
I think chopper actually had skills not smarts on this one as franky got put into choppers body and ate 3 of those rumble balls on punk hazard, what happened. He went berserk and lost control.

Except mushrooms look like another piece of human anatomy that I wouldn't want to eat. Of course either way, I wouldn't want to eat Chopper's Devil Fruit since it shouldn't do anything for a human except take away their ability to swim.

@@korsaiyajinkami3766 if I remember correctly an old interview with Oda (I could be wrong) but if a human ate the fruit it would allow them to basically turn into a peak form of a human between physical or mental.

The whole idea that luffy would speed up his awakening by training using the rumble balls gives me flashbacks of yoruichi teaching ichigo bankai within only 3 days using urahara's doll method
Tekking in episode 464 there is a flashback where Ace gifts a hat to Oars Jr and tells him that his friend in the wano kingdom taught him how to make it! It amazes me how the connection is finally made thanks to your video that pointed out Tama was the friend who taught him how! ... it would be so cool if you did a small video on the topic!

It will make sense that vega punk knows how to awake zoan devil fruits, that would explain the awaken zoan users in impeldown, they dont seem smart enough or powerful enough to awaken themselves
Been researching this ever since Luffy was announced as a zoan user. What if in the final battle Chopper just gives out a shit tonne of rumble balls to all their zoan allies as well. That would be sick.

With One Piece Oda does a wonderful job of highlighting many important topics that are very relevant to our world.
One topic that I find really interesting is regarding performance enhancing drugs/compounds especially the idea of making a choice to "get strong now and pay the price later".
Examples like those royal guards drinking from the fountain in Alabasta to fight Crocodile, Chopper and his rumble balls, Luffy injecting himself with Emporio hormones, Hody Jones and his crew taking the ageing drugs, and others are just so interesting to me.
They really highlight the difficult choices that people have to make which ties in well with the theme of fighting for freedom to decide one's own destiny.

Tekking, great video, I never realized that monster point is basically an awakening, you gave me the BEST IDEA. In the final battle against Blackbeard, chopper will be about to pass out and will throw Luffy his last rumble ball. He had modified and improved on Vegapunk's recipe for rumble balls, but he hadn't had the time to test this one out. Katakuri had come back into the story after wano, and spent the next couple of arcs traveling with the straw hats to teach luffy to awaken his fruit before leaving or getting killed. Luffy hadn't quite gotten to the awakening, but this was the push he needed. His fight with Blackbeard ends with the two of them being completely out of haki and totally worn out, but the last scuffle knocks them into the water, and this is where we discover the unexpected effect of the experimental rumble ball: allowing devil fruit users to swim. Luffy is able to get back to shore as Blackbeard drowns, and passes out.
Man.. I'm here listening to you rambling .. and thinking to myself.. "where is this going?".. and then.. you throw the "artifically awakening devil fruits"...

Also, I would love if Rumble Balls turned out to be able to "fix" the pleasures. Readjusting the wavelength of the SMILEs to stop the laughing and maybe give them access to a SMILE ability. And then the epic bromance of Chopper and Killer can begin. Klopper.

I think rumble balls might only work with chopper, since we have seen the case of a particular scientist (Caesar) able to boost the attributes of his own devil fruit power by the use of chemicals and stuff but that doesn't necessarily mean other logia could use it to change the attributes of their power.
Something to note! Sentomaru back then could have been scowering the field when he noticed the remnants of the 3 rumble balls Chopper ate that day when they got beaten. He could have picked it up and given it to Vegapunk for him to study and dissect.

The term wavelength is extremely important in the one piece universe. Sea prism stones wavelength is what incapacitates devil fruit powers. I wouldn’t be surprised if chopper had found something in the world that has a wavelength similar to sea prism stone but instead of inhibiting the devil fruit it exposes it and enables manipulation by the devil fruit user like never before. Basically awakening enables the user to have a more true connection. Thus enabling said user an immensely more useful level of control. Those effects generally allow the user to either improve the qualities of said fruit, effect the world around you, etc. That varies from user to user but as I was saying before if you could expose the wavelength to the user in a more pure and closer way before the awakening happens then you’ve essentially forced an awakening. The weird thing is that an awakening probably take such a long time because the user has to “connect” to said wavelength/fruit by its own terms or rather more naturally despite how unnatural devil fruits are lol. So when you expose it in a more neutral way and dont how to “connect” to the fruit as intended you gain a wider array of abilities that’s either normally not possible or only possible after immense training after said awakening and your able to stray from the default more easily. Even if the latter is the case I’d say if you obtained full awakening potential and then used a rumble ball it might allow a wider array but probably not by a lot and if it is a lot then wow. Either way the rumble ball is amazing.
I think that if Luffy is going to use that method to become Awakened, he wouldn't accept it from Vegapunk. He would only take one from Chopper. That would be a wonderful capstone to Chopper's development as a doctor and a huge expression of loyalty in his captain, while simultaneously it would show a lot of trust on Luffy's part and a willingness to accept the help of his crew on his journey (which is a character arc he started on Sabaody and has been developing ever since then).

I'm 100% sure that the rumble ball is just a chocolate with nuts that gets him all excited.
Chopper did it actually with mental training and will power etc. Remember trekking when law switched the bodies it was mentioned that if someone else eats the rumble ball while they are in chopper's body, they won't be able to control it because they do not have the training.
Just want to point out that post-time skip Chopper says (on Fishman Island) that he only requires a single rumble ball for monster point and can now change freely between the other forms without one, but he still uses one to go into guard point while the straw hats were on their way to Fishman Island.

Vegapunk: I have spent years trying to get the formula perfect to make it work correctly. But there's one thing I never could quite figure out take a look at this ingredient list and tell me what I'm missing.
Chopper: Cotton candy flavouring.

I have a theory about devil fruits, and Vegapunk slightly. Devil fruits work based on the wavelengths that chopper mentioned (which, correct me if I'm wrong, it's not just the only explanation for the rumble ball, but for devil fruits mechanically we've gotten as well), and, as he said, the Rumble Ball alters these wavelengths, maybe bringing them more "in line" or something. An Awakening is bringing them perfectly in line, but a Rumble Ball only brings you close (explaining why Chopper couldn't control Monster Point before, but can now). You can't eat two fruits because these wavelengths interfere with each other, and it kills you. I actually like the idea of Vegapunk not having figured out Rumble Balls. He seems to be more mechanically focused based on his laboratory, or at least the one we saw, and figured out how they work on that level, maybe even coming up with the idea of a rumble ball, (which explains why we have Pacifistas instead of a bunch of artificial users), but he doesn't have the biological know how to actually force an Awakening. Chopper, though, having a more complete knowledge of the human body could do it. Probably a stretch, but could also explain Armament Haki and maybe Conquerors Haki. They're an extension of the bodies natural wavelengths, and they interfere with other wavelengths, with Armament canceling a devil fruits wavelength, and Conquerors interfering with the wavelength of the person themself. Am I right about any of this? Probably not. It's just an idea I've had for a long time, ever since we learned about awakenings.
Always seen the "wave length" as zones can "tune into" the human, hybrid, animal zone "frequency" and the rumble balls allow chopper to "tune into" different "frequencys".
with the vegapunk theory i want to add that maybe vegapunk is asking a favor to the Navy to mantain chopper bounty low so no one goes after chopper and discover more of the rumble balls.
i have been wanting someone else to eat them for a long time, in the 2 year skip before i thought he would be sharing them so the other crew members get stronger.

I could imagine a conversation between Luffy and Vegapunk going something like this. "Strawhat, you cannot fulfill the condition to awaken your devil fruit soon enough. I have a medicine that will allow you to awa-" Luffy interjects with "Stop, I don't wanna take any short cuts to getting stronger. I will awaken my devil fruit on my own" Vegapunk responds with "If you are fine with losing more companions, than by all means you may leave. But things are only going to be getting harder for you, and Luffy you aren't strong enough. You barely escaped (enter narrowly escaped fight) with your life, you don't know if it will be possible to do it again." And with that motivation, Luffy would agree and accept that offer. In any other situation, I really cant see Luffy just accepting a short cut. He isn't that kind of man, although I could see him only wanting to take it from Chopper.
i think Chopper's different points/forms are not exactly a normal awakening but perhaps a more refined/developed side-door version of awakening. i think the rumble balls will be a surprise to Vegapunk, like they will be something he did not expect but quickly understands the underlying mechanism
i could get behind the idea of the rumble balls being able to artificially awaken a devil fruit, like imagine chopper's monster point being the pinnacle of the human-human fruit, i wouldn't be surprised if vegapunk had figured this out but it would be more points to chopper if he was to discover and master this skill because i feel he's still tweaking it to try and either increase or eliminate the time limit/immobility of monster point
What if Blackbeard is able to steal devil fruits because he got his hands on some of Vegapunk's research on devil fruits.
when you said "all this stuff coming out of drum island" that struck a nerve.... it seems like snowy islands may have significance to the overall story of one piece.. a lot has happened on snowy islands. whether meeting chopper, discovering vegapunks lab even the birthplace of Blackbeard....
While I am sure that Chopper did modify the rumble balls over the timeskip, mental training was also part of mastering monster point because Franky couldn’t control it when he was Chopper.
the only issue with the idea that Chopper changed the recipe over the time skip is that when Franky took rumble balls on punk hazard he couldn't control the monster point, but it could also be a combination of the 2.
The way you are talking about shortcuts to awakening is reminding me of Urahara's 3-day Bankai thing.
You know, I've always thought Horn Point looked like a more accurate hybrid form than Chopper's normal chibi form. It's a pretty even mix of reindeer and human, plus he actually looks like a teenager when he's in that form.

When I first saw choppers monster point, I started to think the possibility of another form can be made, like his horns starts growing around his body and becomes his armor looking like the Armored Titan.
17:30 Chopper didn't achieve control over monster point by only altering the recipe of the rumble ball because it doesn't explain how he can transform into his non-standard other points in the post-timeskip without the rumble ball.
With regards to “maybe it wasn’t chipper improving mentally” for control of Monster point: it was. We know it was because Franky in Chopper’s body had no control of monster point.
