Had my PRK done 4 days ago, and OMG day 3 kicked my a$$.. it felt like someone was clawing my eyes out and pouring acid on them simultaneously.. praise the Lord that I am no longer in pain 🙏 Thanks for making this video, glad you’re on the road to recovery.. after going through day 3 post PRK, I thank the good Lord for blessing me with such a gift -eyesight.. after going through PRK, I will not take eye sight for granted, not just eye sight, not being in pain
🤣🤣 this made me laugh so much haha. I feel all that pain!! Day 3 had me questioning everything in existence but now it’s such a blessing to look back on. Eye sight is such a gift. Waking up and not searching for glasses is such a gift. Not buying contacts is such a gift! I wish you the best! And I pray the recovery goes well! You got this!
I can fully relate from start to finish like the after taste of the eyedrops, learning to focus like clear and yet blurry thing and lastly the feeling of having a tired eyes due to contact lens without any contact lens on. Jeez... So real. This is the most comprehensive review of prk experience in youtube
high quality content! I got PRK and its been 4-5 days now. No pain anymore and I can use phone and no more sensitive to lights. I hope my eyes will quickly and become 20/15 or 20/20. Also, dude you only have 300subs?!? I am schocked. With this quality you deserve more! Definitely subscribed and sharing your content.
Hey, I'm about to do prk, but my doctor said that he may not operate on me because of my reflexes. And I'm so sad because of that... he said that he'll give me relaxing medicine but he's not sure that it will help.. idk what to do I just want to see
I have to say. I’ve spent a good amount of time watching vlogs and researching everything I could before my surgery. NONE of them is close to what I’m experiencing 3weeks post. You explained _exactly_ how it feels and what to expect 🙌🏼
@@jame-leighdavids1180 I felt the exact same way once I had my surgery. NO ONE online actually gave an accurate expectation, so I figured I’d make my own! I’m glad it was helpful! Good luck on your recovery!

Just got my prk 4 days ago and today has been by far the best post surgery feeling, no squintyness, no itchyness, no burning, hardly any light sensitivity whatsoever. Still wearing my sunglasses outdoors but indoors I have been feeling great…still some blurry vision but it’s definitely getting better by the hour
I'm getting PRK done in 2 weeks. This was so informative and very similar talking to friends who've already been through it. Thanks for taking the time sharing your experience!
This video is REALLY HELPING ME! 8 days out. Lots of visual fluctuations! I had zero pain, but pretty sure that’s because I took hydrocodone JUST in case! Having the same issues with one eye lagging, headaches, tired eyes!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
I’ll be 2 weeks since surgery this Friday and I’ve been feeling these exact same things. Hard to focus, one eye adjusting quicker than the other, headaches, I see better when I put the eye drops, light sensitivity even inside my house. But the difference is that the two first days were HELL to me and after day three it all started to improve drastically and even stopped taking pain killers that day. Now, my right eye feels like it has the contact lenses feeling you described and it’s very annoying now but it goes away as soon as I put the eye drops. Anyway, so far is the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m so happy to see things even better than I did with glasses. It’s just a long recovery process. Thanks for the video!
Day 1: Sept 23, 2024 Got PRK done at around 2:30 pm, though eyes felt heavy and it was more comfortable to have them closed, I felt great and I could see amazingly. Sharp and crisp. Day 2: Pain started in the afternoon, was pretty bad through the night, but thankfully was able to sleep out of exhaustion. Light sensitivity and inflammation. Day 3: Still painful throughout the day, but a little less than day before. Light sensitivity and inflammation. Day 4: Relief from pain! Light sensitivity, eyes stiff puffy and feel a little heavy. Day 5: Inflammation lessened significantly, light sensitivity a little better, easy to open eyes in the morning (no more heaviness). Got contacts out. Day 6: Easy to open eyes in the morning, less sensitivity to light, was able to watch TV comfortably with sunglasses. Day 7: Now that I’m over the pain, inflammation, and bad light sensitivity, I can take notice how I see. It’s getting easier to look at my phone screen and actually use my phone. When I put an eye-drop in, I see so crisp, but when the liquid fades, I do see fogginess when I try to focus on things far away so I’m intentionally not straining. Still hard to read computer screen, it’s easier when changing to bigger font size.
@ToxicMonarch-s5z Week 2: Some blurryness but overall eyesight is awesome, especially at night. Week 3: Pretty bad. Seeing double. Very blurry. Week 4: Better. Double vision has improved, happens for a couple of hours everyday but not all day and it’s happening during less time everyday. Thursday is definitely better. Still hard to see computer screen. Sunday only had blurry vision at night, the rest of the day it was great! I can see a computer screen pretty good now without straining! Omg amazing. Week 5: Awesome. Beautiful. I see clearly, still using eyedrops to avoid eyes getting too dry.
Hi. I had PRK 5 days ago. Eyes were irritated and senstiive !! 24-48 hour period, not painful due to taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol with Codeine the first two nights after surgery. Since contact bandages were taken out, a little dry and less visual acuity. Decided to have the surgery because the cost of daily contacts with Astigmatism was only getting worse and harder to find prescription. Worth every penny and discomfort. Advised to take Vitamin C 1000mg for a year, steroid eye drops (3 months total), and preservative free drops for dry eyes add to cost, however; not having to wear corrective lenses of any sort at 46 is worth its weight in gold! Thanks for you take on your surgery, will definitely share with other who are considering to get another prosective on outcome.
Hey i just did my prk surgery too. It has been 5 days but my vision is still hazy (cant see past my phone). My phone has to be really close also . And from day 1 the vision havent improve. I have astigmatism -1.75 -2.25 right left eye. How is your recovery bro ? Like how long it took for you to see better?
I didn't believe them when they said day 3 would be the worst but it was soooooo bad I bawled my eyes out it hurt so bad. It felt like 1,000 tiny needles stabbing the inside of my eyes. They also replaced my contact lens that day and I couldn't even open my eyes by myself and the seconds it was out it felt so scratchy. Now I just know that the pain means I'm still recovering!
Best explanation ever... I am feeling all of these things.. Not clearly seeing mobile phone screen... Had my prk 2 weeks ago... My university is abt going to start in two weeks. Hope soo it will be fine in these weeks😢
I’m on day 6 and everything you have said I am experiencing also. The eye drops taste yucky and depth perception is not there. The weird thing is being able to see things but they are still fuzzy. No more pain but focussing and being in light for a long time can be tiring. Thanks for this video. Has helped me a lot!
I had my eyes done 5 days ago, and I could not figure out what I was tasting. I am so glad you said something about the drops because I could not figure out what was going on. I'm just glad I'm not the only one to experience that.
Haha I totally understand. The first few days I was convinced I was allergic or had covid, but when it finally clicked that it was the drops it was fine. I haven’t really heard anyone on TH-cam talk about the after taste 🤷🏾♂️
This video has been very helpful thank you for all the insight. I am getting PRK done on my right eye this Wednesday. Im also on a 19 week invisaline journey. That just started 3 weeks ago. So 16 weeks left with that. Its going to be a challenge. Challenge excepted 😅
I have had PRK twice. Once was about a year and a half ago. Not sure what happend. The recovery was not really painfull and about 6 months later I was at a -1.0 in both eyes. Talked to my military doctor and I wanted to get it redone. I had to wait 1 year but just had it redone 5 days ago. This time they sent me to Lackland airforce base to make sure it was done right. They had the state of the art 3D equipment and really did a great job. My issue was the recovery. The second time was a lot worse. By day 2 or 3 I could barely keep my eyes open because they stung so much. Around day 5 they got a lot better. Now I can see 20/15 and love it. Military is hit or miss from my experience but I hope I never have to do it again.
Finally someone mentioning the hazy/double vision thingy… I was going crazy and feeling depressed now after 2 weeks of surgery. How did the double vision improve and how much did it take to go away? Thanks a lot! This is really helpful and supportive, I thought I was alone!
@@nyarinyax Hey! Completed 10 days after surgery. Lens removed yesterday but can't see properly....looks everything blur. Please share ur experience too
Had my premium PRK a week ago, a premium methot with no pressure and no chemicals. Just felt like there was an eyelash stuck in my eye for the first three days, and things looked a bit foggy. By day four, I was already on the train by myself heading to a checkup, and I was back at work on day five. Now, if I'm on the computer for an hour, my vision gets a bit blurry, and I need to take breaks, but overall, I'm seeing quite well. They said it'll take a few weeks to get the full vision.
Hey friend, thank you for this video. Very informative and to the point. I'm 18 days post and I feel the exact same thing as mentioned in "19:21 How your eyes will feel". My eyes feel very heavy, dry, irritable and headaches come with it. Would love to know if you found anything that helps and if this feeling is still here for you/how much time did it take for it to stop. All I'm doing is eye drops all day everyday. Also, 2 things that helped me with pain and recovery were: fish oil/omega 3 pills, vitamin C and taking pain meds before I start feeling pain; 2h before or even more. The result is still worth it all yall.
Hey! I bought an ice eye mask and that got rid of my headaches and itchy eyes. It’s just a gel ice pack that’s in the shape of an eye mask. I’m sure you could just use a regular ice pack or something like that. But I would put it on my face for about 15 minutes or so every couple hours. Made a HUGE difference Other than that, time is your biggest friend. Eye drops are helpful so carry them on you as you go. Try not to rub your eyes too much, and make sure you’re wearing sunglasses
Thank you for sharing! I’m on day 5 and your journey and experience is very similar to mine. My vision is also still blurry but like you say in your video it can take weeks to months before you get the end result. Something that the dockors didnt tell me was the smell when they burn/laser your eyes. I was not prepard for that what so ever.
Thank you so much for your video! I just got PRK 6 days ago and at my post op visit today I was only seeing 20/50. My doctor told me that 90 percent of his patients are 20/20 at the post op appointment and I’m in the small minority that didn’t heal as fast but I have been really compliant with keeping my eyes closed and with my drops😢 Your video was very informative and made me feel less alone. how long did it take for you to get to 20/20? And how long were you stuck at 20/40? Ty
@@kellyz4825 glad the video helped. I’d say my full recovery took about 6 months. But I tested 20/15 at around the 6 week mark during my second appointment
Bro. The first 3 days after my PRK was miserable. Pain!!! I’m at 2.5 weeks and everything is clear (no fog) but blurry and both my eyes are fluctuating from crisp to blurry.
Thank you for the informative video its very helpful! Is focusing now more natural? Like the eyes adjusting when looking somewhere close then far away? Also what was your prescription before the surgery?
@@ivankovwink1311 hey! So I could type out a ton of paragraphs answering these questions in details, but I actually have a video before this one talking through my exact prescription (-4 and -6) and condition pre surgery And I have an updated video talking through my year review of the surgery, my take aways, and my updates on how my eyes are feeling! But to sum it all up, for the most part everything is clear and everything is going well almost 2 years out!
Bro I need an update from you 😂 Did some of these issues sort themselves out? Like the heavy eyes, did your prescription improve, is your vision still hazy, do you still have problems focussing? etc. I'm booked in for PRK and all the videos im seeing are making me have second thoughts 🥲
I definitely remember the steroid drop burning for the first few days or so. It would definitely always make me clench my eyes and blink rapidly to reduce the sting, but I think I got used to it pretty quickly
I had my surgery 4 days back, I totally agree, frst 2 days were pathetic, same pain what you are explaining, vision is getting better but lets see what happens after they remove the contact lens.
Nope! No tired eyes or anything like that. Every once in a while I’ll feel something random and be confused at what I just felt, but other than that I have no issues. Couldn’t recommend the surgery enough!!
@@BallinAtAllCosts hey, I could type out a paragraph explaining both answers, but 2 videos before this one I talk about my eye sight and issues pre surgery, and more recently on the channel I have a 1 year update video of the procedure as well! Thanks!
Im on day 21 (3 weeks).. I can still not see the mob and laptop screens clearly to read messages and stuffs. I need to squint amd squeeze my eyes to differentiate and read the letters clearly. Sometimes it just is so unreadable even if i try hard enough Also people 3 feet away in bright light can be ghosting
Hello, today is my 14th day Every thing was good except 1. eye sensitivity to day light 2. eye sensitivity to fan or AC air Having these two issues and can u pls tell me how u fought these and when these were resolved to you like how many days it took for you to And mine was prk with contoura. Yours is prk only or prk with contoura? In Mine process flap was not taken or touched with laser or blade. your surgery made with flap removed and again closed or completely flap removed or not touched?
@@praveenmallesh493 I don’t know what it’s called exactly, but my process was only a laser. There was no flap Also I’d say the sensitivity to light ended around the 3/4 week mark (I could stop wearing sunglasses) And as far as getting used to the elements, it probably took another 3 weeks or so to be able to have a lot of wind/AC hit my eyes
When did the haziness go away for you? I’m on day 5 and sometimes the vision is clear sometimes it’s hazy. Eyes are still healing but curious how long it took?
@@ezragaim2130 I don’t fully remember when it stopped, but it’s gone now. If I had to guess I’d say probably the 2 month mark is when it finally went away?
I had mine a week ago... Pain factor isn't that much.. But a lot of discomfort is there... So far so good.. I agree that eyes will be too sensitive to light... As of now... Am able to see good.. However when there is low light, still it's blurry... Whatever feeling way better... More weeks to go for a better vision.... Will post after a couple of weeks for better review... Stay safe guys.. 😊
Thanks for this.. I've experienced the same things you said as well.. currently on day 7 post the TransPrk operation. Just to note: I was told that the clear/haze vision that you described (which I'm also experiencing) is a side effect of the steroid eye drops..
What kind of pain medication did you have? I've been through a month of tooth abcess, which was the worst pain of my life - how does the PRK pain compare to that?
So to be fully honest, the pain is only part of the problem. The bigger issue is that it’s your eyes. So you can’t function at all. I’ve had pain that physically hurt more, but I was able to force myself to function throughout the day. But with this pain, it’s almost impossible to distract yourself from it because you can’t see. It feels like there’s sand in your eye, or little hairs everywhere. It makes your eyes water, but you can’t take any of them out. And if light hits your eyes during the healing, the pain increases (this is only my experience. Others did not feel this at all) I think I used Tylenol for pain, but like I said, it’s such a specific feeling, I’m not sure if the pain killers actually helped. Because they wouldn’t fix a hair being in my eye
Hi @nyarinyax i hope you have a good time I’ve had prk almost 50 days ago and i have focusing issues, for example if i just relax my eyes distance objects are blurry but when i try focusing and straining my eyes the distant vision get to almost 20/15 i, did u have this also and improved with time or what? , i was worried about over correction i went to two different doctors they said your eyes are good🤷. Forgot to mention, do u have any night vision issues? Thanks alot
Hey! I’m actually hoping to post a new updated video within the week that will answer questions such as these. But to keep it short, I did have focusing issues, but they stopped with time. For me, it was more with closer objects. I could look at my phone and my vision would be blurry, then I’d have to concentrate to find focus again. If I needed to look far away quickly, I would also have issues. I think it’s just because I was using muscles I had never had to use before. I’m confident the same is for you, and thus it will just take time for your eyes to adjust. As for night vision, it’s definitely not as clear as the day time, but I am able to function well. I’d say it feel about the same as pre surgery in the sense of my astigmatism and what not
Thnx for making this.. im sure playing fifa, & watching tv the day after wasnt a great idea, and may have contributed to the following days pain, but hindsight is 20/20, pardon the pun.. having said that, day 2 seems to be most peoples experience as the worst day.. thnx for the video.
2 weeks post OP here and still blurry vision. My left eye was -1 and my right eye was -1.20 with a slight astigmatism. So far my vision felt better before the operation than after. Did anyone else experience that ?
How is your eyes now? I did my prk 8 days back and I am having hard time reading text specially in computer. I have a job which requires to work in computer & I am not able to.
@@ashikabista9420 8 days is very very early. It took me almost 2 weeks before I could easily read things around me! I have a year update video on my page, and I’m planning on making a 2 year update video soon

Bro i had prk a month ago and im noticing that my vision is good early on in the day but when its night my vision gets blurry and i cant see as good as in the day.. has this happened to you?? Is this normal? Plz respond..
It sounds like it’s either because your eyes are getting tired from being used all day, or because your straining muscles you’re used to not using when night time comes. But I remember having similar issues a month in. I don’t think I stopped feeling that until about the 2-3 month mark
Heyy! Any update? I got my surgery done last week and currently I am experiencing the same thing. I have a better vision during the day and blurry as it gets darker outside
26 days after prk and my eyes have been kinda hurting lately? like the feeling when u are sooo tired and you’ve been on ur phone for too long kind of pain. i felt it the whole day today. also some veins in my eyes are red😫
Good question! This was a big fear of mine as well, but it's honestly not a big deal at all. When they are telling you about the recovery, they make it seem like your eyes are this over sensitive/fragile thing while you're first recovering. But in reality, you won't hurt it. When you go to your checkup, you'll notice that the "bandage contact" is just a regular contact, and they'll take it out of your eye just like normal. You definitely don't want to harshly rub your eyes because they will be painful, but you don't have to worry about damaging anything if you accidentally rub them, or accidentally get water in them or anything like that! My guess is the doctors leave us somewhat scared about it to ensure we are uber careful during our recovery process. But you're fine! Good luck with the recovery!
Today is my 21st day, everything is good but still having redness in the morning, and its coming down hour by hour and its going completely by 3 hours from waking up Why this happens sir, and how many days more it still take to reduce morning redness and at which point of week i am free with this? Pls help
You’ll just have to force yourself to have the discipline to not touch them. But also, you’ll find that rubbing them won’t make them feel any better. Knowing this will help you keep your hands away Don’t be scared. You’ll be fine and in the end it’ll be worth all the discomfort you may go through!
Hi:) couldn't agree more with you about the pain from day 3 - felt like tiny shards of glass in my eyes and a constant burning pain. The thought of opening my eyes were unbearable😖 Currently at the end of day 4 and can gladly say feeling a whole heap better. Mainly trouble focusing, light sensitivity and vision is still very blurry (previous prescription was -7.5 with astigmatism) Excited for the next few days/weeks to come, thanks for the video! Love from NZ😊
@@eliasb3857 to be honest they were just crusty for that week😭😭 But I was just scared. I could have cleaned my eyes and washed them too. It was just a contact but they called it a bandage so I thought it was much more sensitive than it truly was I would say clean as you would as long as you don’t have pain. But make sure you’re not putting a lot of pressure and make sure you’re never rubbing. The more gentle the better
@@nyarinyax thank you for sharing your experience. I also got PRK a 1.5 week ago and the doctor already removed the bandage contact lens and my vision is still blurry. But I’m just worried about the Do Not Rub your eyes advice and guess that’s making me panic a lot lol
@@eliasb3857 haha yeah I definitely felt that fear too haha. If the Dr. has already removed the bandage contact, I wouldn’t be worried about it. I was scrubbing my eyes after that haha. It’s my understanding that pressure at that point will only cause pain. It won’t hinder the healing process once the bandage is removed
The recovery is different for everyone. Some people get clear vision the next day, other people take multiple months. Just make sure you’re doing what the dr is saying and your body will heal on it own time!
Hey i got my prk 5 days ago and everything is blurry and hazy . Even my mobile i cant see properly its blurry. And far things are totally blurred and hazzy. Its only 5 days but i am worried. Many people told that they are able to see in 3 4 days only but i am not able drive because cant see anything properly. Plzz tell if its normal and will it get cured?? Literally i can't see properly and totally hazy and blurred even my mobile screen is blurred
Everyone’s body heals differently. My biggest advice would be to not compare your journey with others. Just do what the DR is telling you to do, get rest when you can, and you’ll be better before you know it!
Bro yes! I'm 2.5wks in right now & I can't read any books or comics but I can see the individual roof shingles on my neighbors house 1000ft away YET nothing is crisp. I can watch my 55in from about 6ft away for about 30min at a time wjthout an issues (usually) but playing video games for longer than 10mins is a NOGO. Driving to the office from about a week in until 3days ago, then using my computer nearly all day was torture. I got almost no work done. Its frustrating. Hell its frustrating writing this message! My eyes are constantly tired, so it makes me feel like not doing anything or going anywhere. I'm ready for the process to be over so I can enjoy doing thinga again. Going on a cruise with my wife soon, so NO SCREENS for almost a week & sunglasses all the time plus sleeping in will HOPEFULLY give my eyes the rest they need! When did your recovery finally come to a close? How is your vision now?
Sheeesh I feel your pain. I remember being right where you are! I’d say my eyes were fully adjusted at the 9 month mark. But at the same time, I was blessed. By the 2 month mark my vision was good and the only things I was really struggling with was dry eyes, random pains here and there, and sensitivity to light. By the 6 month mark most of all complications were resolved And as of right now, my eyes are doing well. I don’t really have any issues that I can think of. Of course they could be better, but coming from how bad my vision was at the beginning, I have no complaints haha And I have a 1 year review video on my channel that would probably answer a good bit of your questions! You got this!!
I talk about it in the video, but you can see, it’s just painful. I was able to walk out of the appointment and find the car with no problem, but your eyes are so sensitive to light and other things that it’s very hard to open your eyes. So I would say yes, you can see. But no, it is not very clear, and it is not easy to use your eyes right after (atleast for my experience)
3 weeks after prk. Computer work goes better and better but still ghosting. Some moment it is really close to 20/20 big most times if is not there yet. I can do everything without glasses but reading is difficult because of the ghosting. The smaller the letters the more difficult it is.
Yes, after week 4 a lot changed for the better. My left eye is not as good as my right eye after 12 weeks. But i think it is 95% /100% . Next month I will have the last check to know exactly. But ghosting disappeared. I am happy with th outcome.
2.5 monts ago I got Prk operation. I see blurry and hazy. My doctor said after operation it is normal. Is it getting better? Especially my left eyes is very blurry. At nights it is worse 😢 i am worried about it
@@mervesert96 I got my prk since 10 days..it's getting better day by day..are you able to read chart? My doctor also says it's normal to see blurry as new cells are coming..I am also seeing blurry but it's getting better..r u using eye drop as prescribed by doctor??
I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and have the same symptoms. Sometimes I see everything sharp and sometimes its very blury. Today my eyes are bad in lower and middle distances. Everything is ghosting. But this in normal it lasts up to 6 month. How are your eyes now do you have problem at night if there is a lot of light? Thank you.
Hey! Congrats on the surgery! Everything is normal now. I had trouble seeing at night before the surgery because of my astigmatism, but it’s significantly better now after the surgery for me. Every once in a while it’ll be a bit hazy at night, but nothing that’s limiting my ability to see efficiently. I’d equate it to looking through a car windshield that’s perfectly clean vs having a few bugs on it. I can still function exactly the same, you just notice a bit of unclarity. The only thing I have noticed about a lot light is that I have a time frame where I can look at bright light. For example, if I’m driving and someone has very bright headlights that shine into my eye, I only have a few seconds of being able to look at them directly before I get sharp pain. Before the surgery it would make it hard to see and I would say “ow” because it’s bright. But now, if I look too long at the same light I feel sharp pain in my eye. Obviously this isn’t a terrible issue to have because most people don’t look into bright lights haha. But it’s just something I noticed. Good luck with the recovery!
@@nyarinyax Thank you! Today when I was driving home after gym it was very difficult. Like a camera when you have low light. I hope this will get better. i maybe need a transPRK because my SMILE Surgery went a little bit too good, and i am really thinking about going back to glasses, when i hear the horror stories about prk.
I don’t know why they call it a bandage contact, it’s literally a normal soft contact haha. Got it done, second am was rough because I slept all night and didn’t do any drops or anything. Everything was dry. But once I got that straightened up everything is good. This is day 2

@@ygbodybuilder3023Bad vision at night has nothing to do with it - if you get a proper SmartSurface tPRK with a big radius, there should be a problem after 6 months. You don’t need glasses for reeding. If you are already 45+ everybody needs glasses for reeding but not because of this correction.

How’s your eyes after 2 months? Still hazy?
I haven’t checked with a doctor yet. I see things very clearly and sharp, no pain, but my eyes are still dry, less haze.
Hey, I'm about to do prk, but my doctor said that he may not operate on me because of my reflexes. And I'm so sad because of that... he said that he'll give me relaxing medicine but he's not sure that it will help.. idk what to do I just want to see

Still wearing my sunglasses outdoors but indoors I have been feeling great…still some blurry vision but it’s definitely getting better by the hour
Glad to hear it!!

Hey how are you now ?? Btw what was your eye power and what is it now after surgery
Still hard to read computer screen, it’s easier when changing to bigger font size.
how are your eyes now?i am about to have PRK
@ToxicMonarch-s5z
Week 2: Some blurryness but overall eyesight is awesome, especially at night.
Most genuine review! You have actually described my journey through prk!

Made a HUGE difference
Other than that, time is your biggest friend. Eye drops are helpful so carry them on you as you go. Try not to rub your eyes too much, and make sure you’re wearing sunglasses

Thanks for this.. I've experienced the same things you said as well.. currently on day 7 post the TransPrk operation.
Just to note: I was told that the clear/haze vision that you described (which I'm also experiencing) is a side effect of the steroid eye drops..
Interesting! I never thought it might be a side effect of the drops. Thanks for the info!!
Others did not feel this at all)
I think I used Tylenol for pain, but like I said, it’s such a specific feeling, I’m not sure if the pain killers actually helped. Because they wouldn’t fix a hair being in my eye
i had PRK 2 weeks ago. i dont feel like i had surgery everything feels great since last week. fortunately no pain since the surgery.

26 days after prk and my eyes have been kinda hurting lately? like the feeling when u are sooo tired and you’ve been on ur phone for too long kind of pain. i felt it the whole day today. also some veins in my eyes are red😫
i accidentally scratched my eyes after 36 hours .. did you ever scratch your eyes while they were healing ? im really anxious and scared right now.

How you stopped touching your eyes while it was itchy and burning. My surgery was planned in next week. I'm too scared
You’ll just have to force yourself to have the discipline to not touch them. But also, you’ll find that rubbing them won’t make them feel any better. Knowing this will help you keep your hands away
Don’t be scared. You’ll be fine and in the end it’ll be worth all the discomfort you may go through!

how did you clean your eyelids?
@@eliasb3857 to be honest they were just crusty for that week😭😭
But I was just scared. I could have cleaned my eyes and washed them too. It was just a contact but they called it a bandage so I thought it was much more sensitive than it truly was
I would say clean as you would as long as you don’t have pain.

The recovery is different for everyone. Some people get clear vision the next day, other people take multiple months.
Just make sure you’re doing what the dr is saying and your body will heal on it own time!
What about now. Is it good now. Have u got ur clear vision???
@@nyarinyaxI have double vis😢 and ghost vision after 3 months of surgery is it fine will it be cured
@@kampallyroja5960Co I’m nearly 3 months and experiencing the same especially in bright light 😪 anybody experienced this and got better?
I have done my PRK 2 Days ago. I just feel pain only for 3 hours.
By the 6 month mark most of all complications were resolved
And as of right now, my eyes are doing well. I don’t really have any issues that I can think of. Of course they could be better, but coming from how bad my vision was at the beginning, I have no complaints haha
And I have a 1 year review video on my channel that would probably answer a good bit of your questions! You got this!!
Bro after prk eye surgery which time you get 6/6 vision please reply bro
Hey. I’m not sure what you’re asking, but if you check my most recent prk surgery video I explain when my eyes were seeing clearly
@@nyarinyax ok bro
I'm gonna have my PRK surgery tomorrow, I'm just wondering if you could see immediately after the surgery
I talk about it in the video, but you can see, it’s just painful.
I was able to walk out of the appointment and find the car with no problem, but your eyes are so sensitive to light and other things that it’s very hard to open your eyes.
So I would say yes, you can see. But no, it is not very clear, and it is not easy to use your eyes right after (atleast for my experience)
what's ur update?😢
3 weeks after prk. Computer work goes better and better but still ghosting. Some moment it is really close to 20/20 big most times if is not there yet. I can do everything without glasses but reading is difficult because of the ghosting. The smaller the letters the more difficult it is.
Please how is it going? Has ghosting passed?
Yes, after week 4 a lot changed for the better. My left eye is not as good as my right eye after 12 weeks. But i think it is 95% /100% . Next month I will have the last check to know exactly. But ghosting disappeared. I am happy with th outcome.
2.5 monts ago I got Prk operation. I see blurry and hazy. My doctor said after operation it is normal. Is it getting better? Especially my left eyes is very blurry. At nights it is worse 😢 i am worried about it
Update??
@@tejas0281 same 🙄
@@mervesert96 I got my prk since 10 days..it's getting better day by day..are you able to read chart? My doctor also says it's normal to see blurry as new cells are coming..I am also seeing blurry but it's getting better..r u using eye drop as prescribed by doctor??
Any improvement?
@@mustachegurl1714 yes..much better..3 month over.. little blurry but improving..
Has your clear yet hazy vision improved
@@tb673 yes! My hazy vision is gone!
Why you didn't go for a Lasik?
Depending on your eyes, some people aren’t eligible for lasik. There’s another video on my page that explains this if you’re interested
Before surgery I always had lenses on my dioptrie was -7.5.
After surgery everthing looks very sharp espescially after the eye drops its like playing computer game on very high haha.
Wish you the best for your chanel keep on going.
Greetings from Germany
How is ur vision now. Is it cleared??? Did u got ur clear vision
@@tussharagrawal111 Yes it tooks about 3 month after I get another eyedrops the sight gets better and better at night.
How is your night vision now ? @@UltrAslanAvrupa90
I did it 1 week before and everything you said its normal you need 3 to 4 weeks
Yup you’re right. Just posted an update video on the channel!
i maybe need a transPRK because my SMILE Surgery went a little bit too good, and i am really thinking about going back to glasses, when i hear the horror stories about prk.
@@johannestree1306 I’ve heard many horror stories online, but I’m yet to meet someone in real life that didn’t have a good experience
Hi can we shower post 10days of surgery,
@@vmsi6458 you can shower the same day if you’d like. Just be careful about getting water in your eyes
I'm going to have trans PRK surgery tomorrow, I'm scared of the pain 😱
You’ll be fine! I can’t lie and say it didn’t hurt, but the pain passes, and ultimately it’s well worth it
How much cost For PRK Treatment
30000 INR per eye
99% of people are happy… they rarely take that to the internet. The 1% unhappy, go straight to the internet, that’s the difference
I have my PRK Friday and I’m starting to get nervous. I have the following week off work.
Did they use a bandage contact lense after for you
I don’t know why they call it a bandage contact, it’s literally a normal soft contact haha. I was thinking it was this elaborate device that I had to be very careful with, but it’s just a normal contact
But yes they used it. And don’t be nervous. The operation is quick, and the difficulties of recovery are well worth it!
I hope it goes well!
@@nyarinyax right! Haha I just read it helps out with pain some so I wondered if you had that. I’m looking forward to it. Sick of contacts and glasses just nervous 🤙🏻
Hopefully everything went well for you? I have to say my experience was completely different from Nyarinyax. I hardly had any pain, I didn't use any of the painkillers. I was slightly more sensitive to light, but it was fine with sunglasses. Everyone is different, you'll be fine 😊
Got it done, second am was rough because I slept all night and didn’t do any drops or anything. Everything was dry. But once I got that straightened up everything is good. This is day 2
PRK is quite dangerous for long term...
Man i was waring my sunglasses in a room is completely dark and my head were under the blanket and my eyes closed and even after all of that i saw unreal light light 😂😂 that was so annoying couldn’t sleep that night
@@khaledkutbi890 😂😂 so we were all struggling together huh 🤣🤣
To many complications to risk it and to many trade-offs
What kind of trade offs?
@@nyarinyax bad vision at night, needing reading glases
@@ygbodybuilder3023Bad vision at night has nothing to do with it - if you get a proper SmartSurface tPRK with a big radius, there should be a problem after 6 months.
You don’t need glasses for reeding.
If you are already 45+ everybody needs glasses for reeding but not because of this correction.
