I’m looking to get 16fl on my 145” Seymour woven screen (true gain is .8). I only care about SDR so I was hoping the ht3560 would have enough brightness. Thanks
I also have the Benq ht3560, and when the projector is on and off, I hear a high frequency noise, like a whine. Is this normal, or is my unit defective
@@equationzz3445 does the whine stops after a while or or always there all the time? If it eventually stops then it’s most probably normal. If it is all the time then there is something wrong with the projector. Most probably the colour wheel. My suggestion is to bring it in for check up to BenQ just in case.

I personally don’t like UST. The picture quality is never as sharp as regular projector. This is simply the physical nature of the lens used in UST projector. Because of that, you’ll lose details. As for brightness, UST is brighter but at a sacrifice on the black level and contrast. As for a direct comparison to the V7050i, I have never done it so I can’t say with 100% certainty Thanks for watching, kindly share my video and subscribe to my channel
Fantastic and detailed review. I am subscribed now! How would you compare this projector to the similarly priced (in Canada at least) Epson 3800? I don't think you reviewed it but perhaps you have seen it or can make a guess based on the other Epsons you have seen? My theater has total control over lights, with dark grey walls and carpet, but white ceiling. A black crystal ALR screen is an option to help with black levels or for casual watching with some rear theater spotlights on.

I have calibrated the Hisense projector. It’s OK but the tone mapping is not that great. Also when using DV, the tone mapping is simply making the overall brightness appear brighter with slightly raised blacks and unnaturally oversaturated colours.

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted thanks & I agree with you about AT screens despite what industry folks like Chris Seymour & Lygren from Dreamscreens say about them. Obviously they sell those products & have to hype them up but I have not found a single AT screen that beats a solid screen in image quality & sharpness. Same with anamorphic lenses, they just aren't worth the expense over optical zoom/shift & present their own set of issues. You have a nice 65mm all glass lens on your RS3100, why put another piece of glass in front to degrade the image & introduce geometric artifacts?
@anonemous exactly. Anamorphic lens is really only needed to add upwards to 30% brightness but with the side effect of very slightly blurring your image. Plus they are so very expensive. With that amount of money for a lens, if I want something brighter I would rather buy an RS4100 and set it on high (right now I’m running mid level for HDR on my RS3100
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted exactly right. Just use the $6000 to upgrade the projector. My friend says the panamorph lens is worth it because it maintains the same brightness for 16:9 as well as cinemascope films but how hard is it to just adjust the brightness manually? He also says it saves wear & tear on the powered lens shift but that's the purpose of buying a projector with powered lens memories. It's like buying an off road vehicle & not engaging the 4 wheel drive because you don't want to wear it out.
@anonemous for JVC there is not even a need to adjust it manually, there is lens memory that can be linked to Theater Optimizer parameter in the JVC itself.
Please Help. Benq x3000i or Benq W2710i (3560)? Ansi Lumens are not important couse im gona use in dark room. Most important is the contrast and colour's. My screen is ALR. 0,8 Gain. Im gona use for watch netflix and ps5 casual games.

@jorgemacchiavello9988 yes. This is because the HDR handling and the 1000 local dimming zones in the BenQ make the appearance of better blacks. The LG dynamic contrast ratio is also measured from full on to full off at their brightest settings which when measured the numbers look amazing but not visually as such.
This video was amazing, thanks. Just a quick question. I have had the Benq ht3560 for a year now and most movies are good, but when I am watching the Simpsons. the yellow is very bad. I have tried many picture settings and nothing helped. My friend has the epson 4010 and it looks amazing on his. I don't expect OLED quality but the yellow is just disappointing. I'm also talking about the new seasons because the quality is supposed to be very good. I was reaching out because I wanted to ask you if you could send me a video of your benq ht3560 watching the simpsons. This is to know if mine needs to be professionally calibrated or if it's just naturally not a good yellow. Thanks so much
Hmmm strange. I always watch The Simpsons on a weekly basis. I do notice that the new Simpsons episodes have different shade of yellow which I do not prefer but not the point that it’s not watchable. Make sure when you watch The Simpsons to use SDR and not HDR. Let me know if it helps b

@mathmogul7140 you absolutely have to whether you want it or not. HDR and SDR have different colour space, different colour depth. You need to do that for almost all projectors with the exception of JVC
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted Okay. Will your calibration settings work on different screen sizes. I have a 110 inch screen in a dark environment. Also have you noticed that the dynamic iris makes a clicking noise? It looks good with it on but I can't tolerate the clicking. Any advice on how to fix that. It may be a problem with my unit
@mathmogul7140 110” is okay with my settings. You can turn off auto iris but the black level will suffer. I personally don’t like DLP as their black level is simply nonexistent.

Hi, so this plays true 4K? To finally see 4K ultra hd discs and make them justice?
It shows the full 4K pixels, but still a 4K shifting. There is no native 4K DLP chip for consumers yet.

The 3560 is vastly superior to the 2550 with the appearance of blacker blacks without sacrificing shadow details
Will you be getting the higher step up model, HT4550i (w4000i in EU) for future testing?

For a light controlled room with zero light, use a good white screen. ALR is not needed unless you’re watching a projector with some lights turned on.

I have calibrated dozens of VPL45 and the 3560 gives a much better appearance of black than the VPL45.
