Chevrolet created the same confusion in 1978 with the 25th edition Corvette. They put the logo on all cars and only certain cars were actually 25th edition.
I actually own a REAL 2003 50TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION CORVETTE SPECIAL RED. I have only 1,806 ORIGINAL MILES SHOWROOM CONDITION! 6SPD MANUAL 2 targa tops. MINT..
Not true. All corvettes made in 2003 are made in the anniversary year and have an anniversary badge, but there is a special edition anniversary model with certain codes and special parts, paint, etc.. That is the official Anniversary model. My research is solid.
I agree. I feel all corvettes made that year are the anniversary because of the year it’s made. just not the special collector edition. Similar to the 2002 camaro ss / z28. Still came with the badge inside and 02
Funny how this shows up as I’m working on one right now. Beautiful car and super well kept
Thanks I was about to buy a 2003 thinking they all were anniversary editions now I have to go back and look at codes while I’m searching
Exactly as you said! Thank you. I still see generic 03s hawked as "Anniversary Editions" when plainly they're not.
My dad has one of these. Black paint, black exterior. Insists it's a valuable anniversary edition and won't listen 🤦♂️🤣

Definitely not helpful.... that they keep doing that.
I have a 50th Anniversary Corvette waiting on Corvette Caravan next Year going to Bowling Green, Kentucky
Sounds like fun!
It also had champagne colored wheels
He's exactly right
Like to see it!
I have one too.
Sweet!
For the real anniversary model, it doesn't matter if it is manual or automatic right?
They came as both. It is more about the codes.
@@StreetRodJim thank you.
Some of them are automatics.
I have one
50th Anniversary Edition option was $5000 (on my window sticker)
It is amazing how many people don't get that and want to argue they have an Anniversary Edition.
i own a 50th anniversary conv corvette yellow with black top used at indy 500 and brickyard 400 no. 5. this is not red whats up. buffalo man
It is just a 2003 Corvette. It would have to be red with the code that I mentioned to be the collectable kind.
Sorry you have a 2003 Indy pace car Corvette that's all you have it's not a 50th anniversary

6SPD MANUAL 2 targa tops. MINT..

Give that man a Dewey Button!
@K A Do you still own it? If so, I'm intrigued.
What good is owning one if you don't drive it
All 2003 are anniversary corvettes. The red one is the special addition Redo your research
