@AdalydGracia, that's awesome, glad to hear I'm on the right track! I'll be sharing my entire journey with the ACP Exam on my YT Channel, so definitely stay tuned
@khandeshivideokv, thank you for your kind words of encouragement!! Good luck with studying for your PMP Exam, you can do it, and soon, you'll be certified in Project Management. Good luck
Just take the test, dude, Its no big deal. They instilled so much fear and mystification around the PMP exam. I aced it and the only thing that annoyed me was that it was over two-hundred questions. 150 would have been more that enough since many many of them were redundant.
Completely agreed, I'm taking my PMI ACP Exam soon, and will share updates on my channel with how it goes! Excited to have it behind me, once I take the exam
Alvin, question I just passed the PMP. I have the CSM and CSPO from Scrum Alliance. Do I need this PMI-ACP? What about SAFE cert? Would the test be similar to the PMP? Would it be wise for me to do it now? I am trying to take in all of the certificates out there and I have the requirements to apply for the certifications. What are your thoughts?
@megganwalker3953, congrats on passing your PMP and also having your CSM and CSPO from Scrum Alliance! For me, it was also a tough decision for me to make. Ultimately, it came down to the job opportunities I wanted to qualify for in the future, so I could meet their "requirements" or "desired skills" in the next few years. I encourage you to go through the same exercise - where do you see yourself in the next 1-3 years, and for those specific opportunities and job postings, what certifications are those companies requesting you to have? That exercise should hopefully point you in the right direction, as it did for me. I plan on sharing my entire journey with studying for the PMI ACP Exam in 2024, so definitely stay tuned!
What positions have you been searching for out of curiosity? I agree with you. I was looking for PM roles during this competitive market and saw PMP on all postings so I got this certification. Do you know if the test is similar to PMP with additional Agile questions? What the differences are for the test?
Kim, you don't need to have the PMP first before you take your PMI-ACP Exam. If you already have your PMP Certification, then it qualifies as project management experience as part of meeting the PMI-ACP certification requirements.
Thank you for the link. I’ve read the the requirement. I don’t have a bachelors but do have 8 years in working and assisting in high level projects in a business corp level.
By "working hours" are you referring to obtaining Agile Experience you need? If that's the case, then my recommendation is to find ways to incorporate Agile principles and techniques on projects you're already managing, or new projects you'll start to manage
Not sure what you're referring to - this is NOT a sponsored or even a paid video. I'm sharing everything I'm using to study for my own PMI-ACP Exam this year, and I'm purchasing everything using my own money

Should I have the PMP first before diving into PMI ACP?

Just to clarify, do you need a bachelors to get this certification?
Per PMI's website, you need a Secondary Degree, refer to their site here for detail: www.pmi.org/certifications/agile-acp
