PMI has NOT introduced a Senior Construction Professional certification. There are no plans for this as of now, Feb 20, 2024. PMI is working on a second tier designation to the Construction products and details will be announced in the coming weeks. The other correction I would like to make is that the Certification was launched in February 2023, so it has only been on the market for 1 year.
Thank you Mr Robert for the clarification. I have just cut the part where SCP was mentioned. For the launch date, I was based on PMI's registry since I found that 3 people were certified in 2022 in the US.
Thanks for supporting people in their certification journey. To ensure you provide the most accurate and up-to-date content, could you please contact PMI to clarify the eligibility criteria for the PMI-CP? We understand that no micro-credentials are mentioned and it involves just 4 eLearning Courses one of them has assessment and badge.
I am already PMP Certificated, is there a real benefit on becoming a PMP-CP… I would think just taking the courses and micro credential would be ok…. What do you think ?
I don't know a lot about CCM, but I posted in Reddit, maybe someone could share feedback www.reddit.com/r/pmi_cp/s/ZYfBvU48Td You can join the pmi-cp subreddit community too 😉
@@Yassine-Tounsi thx for responding, abt preparation for PMI CP , is the course they reach is enough for appearing , secondly , how would you compare preparing for PMP with preparation for PMI CP
IMHO PMP and PMI-CP both require the same level of preparation. The only difference is that the scope of PMI-CP is more defined since it's within the 4 courses. All students will take the courses to sit for the exam, but not all students succeed. So, the focus, the experience, the logic, the PM minset, etc. all count!

The video is correct in that respect. The Communications course still has an exam that you need to pass after completing the course.
